I went to the shop in Harrogate. I have forgotten how great it is to experience excellent customer care. Tracey was very kind helping me with accessories to complement the dress i.e shoes and facinator. This is a rare cammodity these days.

Great clothes but slow delivery.
I’ve bought a couple of items online recently . Both lovely and fit well . Great prices in the sale . The main frustration was the delivery time . First item was home delivery and it arrived 7 days after order . So I decided to try the click and collect service thinking it may be quicker (and it’s free) but that took 8 days . Not sure if that’s typical but much slower than other retailers I buy from.

Bought a dress & jacket online (as my wedding outfit) and went into Hobbs store in Merry Hill to collect. What a great experience I received from the young lady who served me!! So polite, asked if I wanted to try the items on (and return there & then if not suitable). I had been worried that I would need to bring items home & then return by post if not right. I was taken to the spacious changing rooms where I was able to try on the items - they fit beautifully. The young lady came back & asked if I had thought of shoes as they had matching colours. Tried them on & I had my wedding outfit!! The whole experience was great from start to finish - my clothes were wrapped carefully and I was confident that they would arrive home uncreased. I’m sorry I didn’t get the young lady’s name but she is a credit to Hobbs. The items I purchased are of super quality and style and I can’t wait to wear them

Loyal customer let down by a confusing and inconvenient returns processI began by trying to return my online purchase via post, but the instructions were confusing and unclear, and the chatbot couldn’t provide any useful guidance. With no proper support available, I made a last‑ditch attempt to return the item at the Chelsea flagship store — only to find it had been closed down.I then went to the Hobbs concession in Peter Jones, where the return was refused. In the end, I had to travel more than four miles to the nearest standalone Hobbs store just to complete a simple return.After 40 years of shopping with Hobbs, this was a real disappointment. The lack of clarity, the refusal at the concession, and the inconvenience involved show a significant decline in customer care, and it has made me rethink continuing to shop with them.

The shop assistant was super attentive
The shop assistant was super attentive, taking items to the fitting room whilst I continued to select more. The dress I liked came in different sizes and in petite. I am, by no means petite, but a larger size in the petite fitting was better for me. It was acceptable for my daughter to be fetching these different sizes for me whilst I was in the fitting room. I wouldn’t normally spend this much on a dress, but there was 15% off, which softened the blow. Packaging of my purchase was lovely. So, the whole shopping experience was made to feel special.
