I visited the Glasgow store last…

I visited the Glasgow store last Tuesday with my friend. Unfortunately she began to feel unwell and the staff were very good, getting her somewhere to sit, bringing water, and generally being very considerate and helpful.
It made such a difference.
After a short while she recovered and we were both able to buy some very attractive tops in the sale.

As usual a very pleasant shopping…

As usual a very pleasant shopping experience I bought a belt exactly what I wanted for a summer dress purchased on my previous visit. Spent a few minutes chatting with Kirsy store manager and other staff members. It is always a pleasure visiting my local York store, specially when I am greeted by my name and asked how I am getting on (I have a disability and require a walking frame or sticks )Always my first stop (after lunch of course) All staff are quick to look for items for me so I dont need to tour round the store. Thanks to them all.

I have never shopped in Hobbs before

I have never shopped in Hobbs before. I thought it was a bit out of my league. I went in anyway. I picked some dresses, for my daughters wedding and didn't feel comfortable then V came along and changed all of that. She was amazing made me feel good about myself and i felt comfortable in the dress she picked out for me. I can't thank her enough.

Mixed experience. Shop v online

In the last 3 months I've purchased 2 full mum of groom outfits from Hobbs for day and evening wedding day, spending well over £1000.
I did my shopping mainly at the Leeds store who were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The quality of the items is quite good but for the high prices I'd expect that they could be a little better.
The only 2 things ordered online where the 2 bags needed, both of which I had problems with.
The zinnia pink suede bag arrived minus a dust bag, for the price I really did expect one, customer service told me it's just luck of the draw as some packers put one in with the bag and some don't, she then told me to put it in a pillow case, and said she couldn't send one out to me because there's no way on her computer to arrange it.
The other bag , Renata buttercream leather bag, arrived badly damaged with scratches on the front of the bag and what looked like a tyre mark on the back. It had obviously been packaged in that state, as the box it arrived in was intact.
So the Renata was returned.
Customer service was quick to refund , and apologies where sent.
So upshot on this review...
Items are priced rather high for the quality ,
Shopping experience in store is good.
but online shopping is VERY POOR
Inferior goods were posted out.
All in all a mixed experience.

Awful experience - brierley hill

While I was pleased with the dress I purchased, the customer service I experienced was extremely poor. Both my mother and I were spoken to in a rude and dismissive manner by members of staff, which made what should have been an enjoyable shopping experience very uncomfortable.

In particular, when I was asked for my email address at the till, I was told that the staff member “didn’t understand me” and that I was “confusing them.” I found this comment unnecessary, unprofessional, and quite upsetting.

As a paying customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, the service we received fell far below this standard. The experience has left me feeling reluctant to return to the Merry Hill store in the future.

I would appreciate it if this feedback could be reviewed and addressed to help ensure other customers do not have a similar experience.

I haven’t received parcel

I haven’t received parcel. The picture taken is not my address and the parcel looks damaged. Not impressed with Hobbs at all. I would have expected a better service.

I was charged full price for 3 items I bought in sale and had to return to shop next day to get refund. No great apologies!

Refund me please

I have been told so much misinformation. I emailed yourselves and no reply . Talk to three different people on chat and all the information differs. I spoke to the store manager. The order has been lost. I placed it online on 23/5/2026 The store needs to mark it as not received. They wait for emails which are never sent by customer services and manager never returned my call. I would like a refund. I won’t ever be ordering from you to any store or my home address. Even after 15 years your service is abysmal. Clearly no improvement has been made! How hard is it to issue a refund? You have my order details from my earlier message.

Crumpled up clothes

The two orders I’ve made online in the last week have both arrived with the clothes badly crumpled and creased. They would never be sold in store in that state. One is a wedding jacket and I’m worried it will look a mess as it’s a difficult garment to iron. Has really put me off buying from Hobbs online. Clothes need to be packaged carefully with tissue paper, cardboard insert and protective polythene cover and put in a sensible sized box rather than scrunched up into a packet. Really disappointed. Hobbs clothes are pricey enough that they should be sent with care. Hobbs need to read their reviews - so many complaints about creased up clothing.

Refunded without postage - no reply from customer service

I ordered a dress, Hardwick Floral Tie Waist Dress, valued at €180 and was charged €187 - €7 postage. Although I had notification that the dress was dispatched, 2 days later e global shipping refunded €180 to my PayPal with no explanation, and no postage refund of €7. I contacted Hobbs customer service by email to request the postage refund … 4 days later no response. This is not what I expected from Hobbs. Curiously I received an email to get a review of the dress I never received!

I bought a beautiful dress, excellent quality. The ladies in the shop was really lovely & very helpful. I would certainly recommend Hobbs great shop great quality clothing etc. Lovely lovely staff.
