I have taken delivery of a CBR City 6 Bicycle and am pleased with both the bicycle, and the service from Discount Bikes

Went in to buy a lock and had a couple of options to pick from and then managed to have a look round at a few other items I've been searching for. It's great to have a well stocked, helpful and knowledgeable bike shop on the local high street.

I have just bought a set of Knog Mitts from Discount Bicycles. Great Product Great Price and Great Service

Good all round shop. Very well laid out. Prices of goods seem ok. The staff are always attentive and welcoming

The item I ordered and paid for via Paypal was actually out of stock, but I received no correspondance to tell me this was the case and noone replied to my online emails. The problem was dealt with quickly over the phone though - I am awaiting a full refund.

I regularly use Discount Bicycles for my purchases. The shop is on my route from Hackney to Goldsmiths college. I have always recieved good freindly service and help.

I had my bike serviced At Discount Bicycles Yesterday. They did a very nice job and the price was right. Best of all they leant me a bike for the day free of charge so that I was not without a bike. I would reccomend.

Nearly 3 weeks ago I ordered a £130.00 Children’s Bike for my daughter’s birthday present (on 14th Sept) Since then I have chased delivery and been hung up on twice by the sales manager, [name]. Who at the last attempt told me he would personally go out of this way to ensure that the bike takes as long as possible to arrive. I have tried to cancel the order but also been told irrespective of whether the bike has been despatch or not they will still be issuing me a £50 charge on top for delivery even if cancelled. What?!?
The Last delivery was promised today 3rd Oct yet I have now been told this will now not happen. (Apparently Monday, I'm not holding my breath! No money, no bike and no further forward.
Wish I would have reviewed Trustpilot first as many others have stated: rude staff, AVOID AT ALL COSTS, Unreliable - no communication - Stay away!!!, One story after another, Woeful - non-existent customer service & no bicycle received.
[name] you have just won by a country mile the Olympic medal in providing the worst customer service I have every encountered from a 'so called' retailer, congratulations you must be really proud of yourself.
When I called you to establish when my daughters’ bike would arrive I certainly didn’t expect you hang up on me because you weren’t able to answer a simple question or explain when delivery would arrive. Let’s be clear you should not be allowed to trade and deal with the public, I suggest choose a different profession. Take note to other reviews posted and you may actually learn something about customer service which you obviously have not heard of before. ONE STAR IS ONE TOO MANY
DO NOT BUY from this company! You have been warned.

Delivered in a little over a week (to Italy!) cheaply, I had email contact with their sales team which was always answered promptly and by the same person (Richard). I have no problem recommending them or using them again. Did what it said on the box! discount bicycles, great for me.
P.S. This was the only website selling this product that offered to send to me in Italy without any hesitation, they offered a good priced delivery and kept in touch with me. I am a very happy customer.

Placed an Order On-Line for a Bike and Panniers on the 3rd September Order Total over £300 received acknowledgement email.Read Reviews(yes I know I should of done this before)having read the negative reviews I decided to email them to confirm my order......NO REPLY.....tried phoning them......NO ANSWER......this went on for a couple of days.Contacted my Bank they advised that money was in the holding account,I couldn't stop the payment without canceling my card,they advised canceling the order by email and if the money was taken the bank would raise a dispute and get the money returned.Canceled the order on the 5th of September(surprise surprise no response from Discount Bicycles)on the 10th of September they took the money,I contacted my bank to authorize them to raise a dispute(on going)have also contacted Trading Standards.
So if after reading this you still wish to deal with them......MORE FOOL YOU.

On the upside I contacted another on-line Cycle Shop(RANELAGH CYCLES)they were polite and very helpful,and received the products on Tuesday 9th September.......I WOULD RECOMMEND RANELAGH TO ANYONE.

Still no bike after 3 weeks!! Worst customer service I've ever had off an online store. Impossible to contact and when you do they are unhelpful and rude!

Ordered a Claud Butler bike and paid by Paypal.
Money went out immediately and I had a confirmation email promising a despatch email.
That never came.
Emailed them.
No reply.
Two weeks passed, no bike.
Phoned them to be told that the bike had been collected by the courier and would be delivered 'next Monday'.
Making three weeks.
No bike came.
Phoned them again and was told courier " Could not find my address so bike was at their depot."
Confirmed my address and asked for courier name so I could contact them.
Discount Bicycles wouldn't say which courier it was but said bike was due for delivery 'next Wednesday and they know your address now.'
Phoned several times yesterday to confirm delivery was due and their phone was not accepting calls " This mail box is full".
Kept trying and after ten attempts over three hours today got through to a chap I'd not spoken to before...'Henry' who is a really nice and polite guy on the 'phone, didn't BS me and just said... " Look I'll do a refund." And he did.
Money went into my account almost immediately full amount and no hassle.
Top marks to Henry but pretty poor show from the other chaps at Discountbicycles really. Had they said... " Look we can't get the bike for you at that price." Rather than give me a load of old flannel ... Hey ho. Lesson learnt.
Nice guy that Henry obviously is, I'll not be using them again

Took my bike back with a query after a service and the staff member was incredibly agressive, rude and intimidating. I'd avoid ever going here again. One of the worst customer service experiences I've had.

Purchase a trailgator from them, but should have read online reviews first, paid extra for next day delivery, but did not get despatched until 3 days later and after several unanswered emails and voice mails plus a despute raised via PayPal. Refused to supply deliver tracking number, did not refund extra delivery charge as requested and poor unapologetic attitude. They may offer good prices, but not worth the risk. Lesson learned.

My family grouped together to get my sister a new bicycle for her 40th birthday, we unfortunately chose this company & paid in full on 21/07/14 - the order acknowledgement advised delivery in 5 days.
Since then I have sent 3 emails & numerous phonecalls, without any success or feedback on when we can expect to receive the bicycle.
We have had to resort to opening up a dispute with PayPal today - judging by our experience, we would advise you avoid this company at all costs, unless you are looking for a prolonged dispute to receive your goods.

PS - I seriously doubt whether any of the 5* reviews on here are authentic: compare the detailed 1* feedback compared with the Jackanory on the 5*

I went to Discountbicycles to see if they had an inner tube to fit my wheelchair wheel, which isn't a standard bike wheel size. They had two, so I bought both!

I was also looking for some cycling gloves that would survive the rigours of self-propelling a chair, and happily this shop had a pair with a flat, tough palm - I don't need padding, just a tough surface. They were in the discount basket, and the staff member serving me threw in the last pair of these gloves free.

I'm really pleased to have a friendly local bike shop within a 20 minute wheel!

Bought two spare parts over the internet from them 12 days ago and paid by credit card. Items have still not arrived, despite "immediate delivery" promise. Sent two emails without any response. So I will call my credit card company tomorrow to annul the transaction.

STAY WELL AWAY from this useless shop.

Almost 2 weeks and I still haven't received the bicycle I ordered. After a telephone conversation last week, I was promised the bike in 4 working days. Still no bike. Phoned again - I would be called back within an hour. No call. Phoned once again. This time apparently the bike had been collected (again) by the courier and would be with me in 6 days. I tried to cancel the order, but was told it would cost £50 as it's already been collected by the courier.

So, let me get this right... the courier collects it and then waits 6 days to deliver it 100 miles? I could cycle it in less than that time.

I don't believe anything I'm told by this company.

Altogether a thoroughly unpleasant buying experience. Pay more and buy elsewhere. The stress isn't worth the saving.

Discount Cycles are a great company to do business with.
Their website is clear and there is a wide range of products to choose from.

I've purchased lots of different products from Discount Bicycles I've always been veryhappy with the service, quick delivery and the quality of the items. I would recommend Discount Bicycles to anyone looking for good quality products at low prices.
