Positive Solution to a complicated payment problem
I had some real positive and intelligent support from Alex B. who had to sort out a really complicated payment problem linked to Pay Pal payments. In the end he went the further mile by paying directly to Pay Pal for me when the system did not work as it should. It took time but he needs a pat on the back.

I used live chat and got to speak to a friendly advisor, Andrei F, without having to queue or wait. I needed him to check out how many websites I can host (seems it's 10, so that's brilliant!). Then take me through set-up of Wordpress for one of my new domains. He offered to do it all for me and then installed an SSL certificate free of charge that came with the domain. I was very happy :-)

What happens when the e-mail goes down
My time with 123-REG went well enough until I had a problem. I wanted to move one of my domains to a different company but leave my e-mail with 123-REG. Easy I was told (by 123-REG), no problem. I transferred the domain and the e-mail went down. I contacted 'customer service', was assured that the problem was cured. It wasn't. I contacted them again. I was then told that I could not be verified, as they needed to send me an e-mail - on the e-mail which was not working. I pointed this out to them. I was told to change the e-mail to another. But of course I could not, becasue I could not be verified. After a week of this I was told to fill in another set of forms and provide all sorts of ID, and that it would then take the team concerned at least THREE DAYS to contact me. This is not the way customer service should work. It is nonsensical that there is no back-up system for when an e-mail goes wrong. They clearly have not thought these things through, nor do they adequately care about their customers. As a freelance relying on my domain name e-mail this is a disiaster for me. As soon as they let me have control of my own accounts again (IF they do), I am going to have to look for a more reliable supplier. They charge good money for the services they supply, I am so disapointed that at the first real test they failed (so badly).

Had to do some DNS Record changes…
Had to do some DNS Record changes linking with Shopify and we are not technical in the slightest. As soon as 9am kicked in ROXI was online to chat and within minutes had identified what was needed and talked us through the process. Smooth, quick, simple and a nice chat also. Excellent service as always with 123.Reg and always super helpful and resolve and questions with ease. We have all our domains with them.

123 Reg have been Hosting my site for just over a year - zero support
123 Reg have been Hosting my site for a while - last year the site got a virus, I was told they no longer offer this protection. Yesterday my site went down, including emails - all I got from their help chat, some software on your site is corrupt and its nothing to do with us. And that was it. So I'm left with a site that was working 24 hours ago - no changes were made, then it suddenly breaks.
I got zero help from them - so I'm currently moving away to another hosting company with better support.

I have used 123 reg for many years now and their customer support is like no other! They will always go out of their way to offer 5 start level support. I have always found the pricing to be fair and unbeaten!

Unreliable email and poor tech support
Currently sitting in an interminal queue waiting for tech support to explain why my email package has become very intermittent over the last few days. Their status page shows no issues with any of their services. Not happy at all. My previous email provider was very good and cheap but they sold out to 123reg who then sold out to GoDaddy.

123-reg let down their customers.
Used to be my favourite all time service provider. Now they sold out to GoDaddy! Big mistake, huge!!! Customer services down the pan, web site crashes constantly, unable to call as waiting times are through the roof. Extremely bad decision. I always liked 123-reg because they were independent, British provider. Now from heroes to zeros. God bye after years of loyal service I’m out of here, and so should you be. I’m a retired MS systems engineer and I can tell you staying with 123 would be a disaster for any customer. Huge loss.
