Atrocious support from a company that used to value it.
Absolutely appalling customer service. I joined the live chat queue with an estimated wait time of 1 hour 26 minutes. Already unacceptable, but I waited patiently.
After chasing multiple times and waiting for 2 hours and 40 minutes - nearly double the estimated time - the chat was simply terminated with a message saying it was "out of hours."
Let that sink in. I was in the queue during their advertised hours, gave up nearly three hours of my time, and received absolutely nothing. No service, no apology, no resolution.
This is not just poor service - it's a complete disrespect for customers' time. If you can't handle the volume, either hire more staff or stop accepting people into queues you know you won't clear.
I've wasted an entire evening on this. My issue remains unresolved, and I'm now forced to try other contact methods that will likely waste more of my time.

Migrated to 123-reg when my old service…
Migrated to 123-reg when my old service was bought. Repeated failures across multiple devices and support is non-existent outside of limited hours. The instructions I was sent simply do not work.
Edited - help tickets are repeatedly closed when the resolution is not complete and the advice is inconsistent; I have tried three different sets of server settings and additionally downloaded the settings direct from their site when I finally have been able to access my cPanel. The advice I have had is to change email clients across multiple devices; so it seems if I want reliable email I need to stop using Apple’s native clients.

Experienced glitchy connections to…
Experienced glitchy connections to their email hosting resulting in delayed emails; unable to resolve so took the decision to transfer services to another registrar/host.
Requesting a refund for the domain was fairly straightforward but getting a refund for the unused portion of the email hosting was unsuccessful as it fell outside their company policy.
If you are going to cancel services make sure you do it within the terms of their Money-back Guarantee policy.

FTP issues resolved quickly and efficiently
Had some reasons to get in touch with 123Reg today and yesterday. The wait time on the live chat was less than a minute. Both queries were resolved quickly and efficiently. The second issue, and FTP problem was resolved by Alex B within two minutes and has basically saved me a whole lot of pain in uploading multiple files to multiple sites. Many thanks Alex B

Ridiculous
Edited: Elena completely messed up by email by giving me the wrong email. I cant launch my website because noone will bother come on to live chat to help. I've been on there for the padt 3 days waiting and I am meant to be launching my website which I cant do now!
