Very poor technical service despite…
Very poor technical service despite spiralling costs, I’ve used 123reg for more than 10 years for my email mailbox provider and recently they have all consistently failed repeatedly throughout the day to access my email using my iPhone or iPad or browser webmail

Email Nightmare
I have just renewed my e-mail package (with 6 users) and believe that I was mis-sold a three year contract. At no stage was I told that the new contract would require all six users to change the server access details on their e-mail clients.
The account supports one user in Sydney (9 hrs time difference) and one in New York (4 hours the other way) and each of these users-businesses requires sharp e-mail responses. Co-ordinating their (user/client) password changes with my Controller password change (in UK) was a nightmare and had me working beyond mid-night! In addition, I was sent instructions on how to change passwords but the links given with these instruction only lasted for 2hrs and were out-of-date before I had the opportunity to read them. I had to find my own way around the 123-Reg website and work out the method unaided on my own.

Quick resolution to request.
Had an agent called Roxi. Was helpful, friendly and sorted my issue out as quickly as I could reasonably expect.
The company policy towards dealing with my request was also refreshingly customer friendly.

123-Reg Unethical approach to me
I have been a web designer for over 25 years and used to place all of my client's hosting/mail accounts with 123-reg. That was until they provided poor service and broke the GDPR rules resulting in me reprting them to ICO. Since then, I removed all of my accounts and went to SiteGround.However, there were two e-mail accounts still left with 123-Reg. I was stunned to receive a bill for £229.00 this week from 123-Reg for three accounts that I moved away from them back in June 2024. I went on to their chatline and was informed that they did NOT any longer have the three acccounts that they were charging me for. They justified their unethical actions by suggesting that my closed account still had the 'auto-renew' setup/ I stressed that I had closed my glocal account with them and thus, how could they charge for names/services they no longer have on their systems. They quickly reimbersed the charges. My point is BEWARE of 123-reg and their charges!!!!
