A really uplifting experience in every sense. Booking was quick and easy with excellent instructions and directions to the launch site. Well organised and I really felt part of the ‘team’ as we all helped to get things ready before the flight. Ben and his team were incredibly reassuring and helpful and the briefing allayed any concerns we may have had. The actual flight was calm and serene. A short time in cloud was a bit ‘other worldly’. I totally recommend this experience.

Couldn't have been better, a first class experience

After having 2 flights cancelled we finally got of the ground. It was lovely to fly over Reading and see some of the land scape and town centre from the air and get some great pictures.
When we landed we discovered the pilot was the same pilot we had 11 years ago. Would recommend a flight in an air balloon to anyone.

Great pilot. Very friendly staff. Always happy to help. I had to wait almost two years which got frustrating but it was worth the wait.

This was my experience:
A fabulous way to start the weekend.
After several cancellations due to 'not' calm conditions, my son and I were able to fly from Shuttleworth Estate, Old Warden early Friday morning.

We met at 5.30am and all helped to unfurl the balloon.
My son was in charge of the fan which inflates the balloon, with instructions to cut the power in an emergency if given the signal.

My husband took photos and video clips from the ground.
I filmed with my compact camera and mobile phone from the basket.

We had a slightly bumpy take-off, but then a smooth, calm gentle flight.

Our pilot, Martin stayed low, guiding the balloon in a SE direction, across the southern side of Broom, Biggleswade, Langford and over the A1 towards the villages of Newnham and Bygrave, near Baldock where we had a smooth landing, with the basket staying upright.

All helped pack the balloon away, which was fun, squeezing the air out. I laid down using all my body weight to push the air out, from bottom to top - and then after some chuckling from my fellow passengers, a few joined me when they saw it worked. :-)

Transport travelled across the field to collect us, the balloon, basket etc.
We were able to climb back in the basket on the back of the truck to go across the field of stubble to the farm entrance, where we were served chilled prosecco & orange juice to celebrate.

A coach arrived to take us the 13 miles back to Shuttleworth.
We were back there by 8.30am!

The whole experience was brilliant. Booking was easy. Everything was well explained. Fantastic flight looking over Bath, Bristol and even Cardiff in the distance. Nobby was utterly professional and entertaining too. Great crew. We loved it.

We had a beautiful early morning flight from Newhaven, Derbyshire. Tom, the pilot, and his ground crew were brilliant! Gave good clear instructions and looked after us all. And they were very knowledgeable in answering any questions that were asked. And had good knowledge of the area and pointed out landmarks that we could see from the air. A truly magical experience and one I will book to do again at some point. Also a huge thank you to the local farmers who allow the balloons to take off and land in their fields.

What a fantastic and unique experience. Mike was a great pilot, he made us feel confident in everything that was happening. Super views over Bristol.

We had a great pilot (Chris) and ground team who all worked seamlessly together and all obviously enjoyed their jobs.
The experience was beautiful from beginning to end. I will definitely book again.
Seeing the barn owl hunting from way up high was really special.
