Churnet Valley Breakfast Train

From the time I booked my train journey to the actual trip which was the breakfast train.The whole experience was excellent.I would highly recommend this trip and I can’t wait to go on the train again.Excellent 👍🤩

Date night with a difference

Train was spotless. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff on an extremely warm evening. We will be back and we will recommend you to everyone we know.

Lovely evening out for the Mexican Dining experience

Very friendly volunteer staff who showed us where to board our carriage, the service in the dining car was second to none, prompt and efficient and with a smile, despite of the heat.

Spud and Steam, Churnet Valley Railway

A wonderful way to spend a summer evening , Spud and Steam and it delivered Spud and Steam , all for £15 per person . lovely tasty potato , ordered when booking , collected from the tea rooms on arrival at the beautiful Froghall Station and eaten on the glorious steam train awaiting us before a nostalgic 2hr journey through the beautiful sun bathed Churnet Valley , unbelievable value for money , a dream come true . Friendly staff , lovely relaxing atmosphere , will definitely be going again and would thoroughly recommend. Thank you to the wonderful volunteers at Churnet Valley for all your hard work and dedication , allowing folks like us the privilege of riding on these stunningly beautiful trains, a million thank yous .

Very well run from arriving to leaving

Very well run from arriving to leaving, pity the main railway lines aren't run as well. Great value, breakfast was really good service fab what's not to like, just over 2hrs on a steam train. A big thankyou to all the volunteers and staff, we will be back that says it all.

Fab evening out in the sunshine

This was a fantastic night out for m sister in laws birthday. The food was amazing, full of flavour and piping hot, there was plenty of it too.

Wonderful Froghall experience

Wonderful Froghall experience
Wow….. this was fantastic. The steam train is like a childhood dream… We were in the dining car having a breakfast service…..lovely food, plenty of tea and coffee and the table setting would have done a hotel proud! The staff were lovely…..nothing was too much trouble and everything was really well organised. The train ride was through some beautiful countryside.
We are full of admiration for the volunteers who work so hard to keep these trains for future generations.
