Offers refund to delete negative review
Yesterday I received a phone call from an unknown number. It was a Workers Union representative. Who did contact me in regards to my negative review. After all my ignored emails, they called me only after I left a negative feedback publicly! They were surprised why I made a negative comment. I mentioned their ignorance and no responses to all the emails I have sent. His answer was 'we get a thousand emails'. Which clearly shows they are understaffed and can't manage inquiries. Why email address on the website then? Since they don't have a phone number either. Gentleman had an answer to that as well 'we prefer technology'. If the phone is not a 21st century technology then I really question their knowledge of anything. I was offered a REFUND IF I WILL DELETE A NEGATIVE COMMENT. However I was requested to delete first before any refund as it is damaging their business. Later they changed the statement and under my review The Workers Union stated 'We can therefore only assume that you are writing this feedback on behalf of another person.This has been verified by yourself when we requested "more information" via Trustpilot'. INCORRECT! Trustpilot requested the info only the next day. As we can see, my comment on the 8th of April, after I have submitted all the proof including my name, surname, bank statement with transaction and Workers Union subscription. My review has been VERIFIED by Trustpilot!
Please be careful everyone ! I am sure I am not the first one who got offered a refund or some sort of compensation to delete the negative experience I had with them. I hope The Workers Union are proud of the money I have paid without receiving any of their services. Hope it will benefit their one man business!

Not a factual statement. A few questions have been raised.
1. Who was it you spoke to please.
2. What is your real surname name please.
3. Why couldn't you verify your address.
4. Why would you ask for a refund to be sent to a different name and unverified address.
5. Why has your bank upheld the original genuine transaction.

Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful. When it comes to a genuine matter that requires support, nil response. I have written to the head office requesting my money back, if they cannot assist me. Will not renew with them.

Beware NOT a Trade Union
Since writing my initial review I am happy to say that a representative from The Workers Union has been in touch. A lovely soft spoken gentleman has promised to refund my subscription after I update my review to note this and I'm really grateful for this conclusion. They are a conciliation service just not a trade union. Thank you.
I Googled Workers of England Union and this website came up at the top of my search. Believing them to be the trade union in question I joined and paid the required £96 annual fee. I then heard from a work chat that people had been duped into signing up to an organisation called The Workers Union who were not a trade union and could not represent me, and to my horror I realised I had fallen for this. I tried emailing the organisation, and a week later I still have not had a response. I called my bank who said they would look into getting my money back for me. They had a phone number for the company but sadly when I tried it comes up invalid number. Since looking into the company I can see an Advertising Standards Agency ruling against them.

I had an issue at work
I had an issue at work, which proved extremely stressful to me and i was cocerned about my prospects and what would happen in the future. But it all seems to have turned around for the best and i just want to say a huge thankyou to Anthony whos enthusiasm and zest for other beings wellfare really helped me to focus on whats important in life. Join these people in March this year pay £73 when I wanted a representative I couldn't get any contract with them I send lots of emails no reply when I come on here Anthony contact me and I ask for a refund and he said ok now you sending me an email with PayPal telling to follow the link which I'm not doing I would like my money back in my account are else, you are a set thief and con artists

Not much help tbh
At first when I joined they seemed ok but once I started having issues with my workplace and mentioned who I work for they seemed scared to tackle them I thought, the last letter I got from work, i was asked to have a union rep attend, I asked the union and was told I didn’t need one there(again I felt they were scared to attend) so after my meeting with work and no rep there, I was dismissed from employment on capability medical grounds, I didn’t know what to say to them, I contacted union only to hear from the man that it’s fine, I’m getting a small pay out and again was told he didnt need to be there speaking up for me, I will not be renewing my membership with the workers union, total waste of money paid to them, be careful if you work for a big company as they scared to help you deal with them x thanks for nothing the workers union,

Thank you for identifying yourself Gary W. Senior management takes this kind of complaint very seriously indeed. We do have a complaints procedure and would of preferred to discuss this offline.
This is what management have found recorded on your file. Your account of events seems to be somewhat inaccurate.
You joined us on the 12th September 2020 @12.50pm. Thank you.
On the 15th of December 2020 @11.21am You contacted us.
The same day 15th of December @13.24pm we called you. The operator took detailed instructions and offered immediate intervention assistance. You declined stating "you did not want a target painting on your back"
On the 10th of June 2021 you contacted us again @14.16pm requesting further assistance. A different operator once again took detailed instructions and identified you would benefit from our solicitors legal advice. This time you accepted. Contact was then made by our solicitors to you at 9.41am on the 11th of June 2021. Our solicitors listened intently and offered guidance and support stating:
"I have advised the client of a potential disability discrimination claim and suggested an alternative of making a without prejudice offer if he decides he longer wishes to work there. The client said he will consider his options"
You then requested on the 1st of September 2021 @ 9.21am we call you.
We responded the same day 1st September 2021 @ 09:42 informing us you had a capability meeting. You were advised by the operator that we do not attend such meetings at such short notice but could offer you an exit strategy from your existing company.
You once again contacted us @03 Sep 2021 16:24 to confirm if the final payments you were receiving from your employer were indeed correct.
We contacted you on the 06 September @ 10:02am and once again offered legal assistance to guide you through your exit agreement. You stated that you now have a new job and you will accept their proposal once you have it in writing from your previous company (B.E.) without accepting our offer of further legal assistance.
Sometimes we don't get it quite right. When this happens we always try to rectify our position amicably and not publicly. However, on this occasion we believe we have done everything correctly and the operators have followed protocols as have our lawyers. We understand that you may not wish to change this inaccurate feedback. We acknowledge you do not want to renew your subscription with us which is your prerogative, however, we will of course part in good faith and wish you the best of luck with your new employer.

you cannot contact these people by phone and they do not respond to emails that are sent. I wasted money and now can't contact them to cancel my subscription and the account gives me no option to edit - just a box to upgrade - completely useless they have been no help
