I bought Brazilian hair upon the enthusiastic recommendation of the store assistant who encouraged me to go for a particular pack of hair. All I wanted was, good quality hair, tangle free, easy to wash and I did not care about price. What I ended up with was a 7 week nightmare on my head. By far it's the knotty hair I have ever had, and has the same texture as 90s Barbie hair. It was so knotty it broke my own hair, and what's worse is that I was encouraged to buy 2 packs!!

I visited the Glasgow branch recently to purchase some clip in extensions. As my hair is a difficult colour, I always struggle to get something to match. The girls in the store were very helpful and took their time to go through everything with me and answered all of my questions and I left with some clips that matched. Great customer service from start to finish and will definitely be back in the future.

The staff at Paul's are incredible, they really put you first they help with everything you need , they match your hair a 100% , and and make sure you leave with a smile on you face , I know sometimes its hard in shops to get the service you want but come on guys they work to a high standard and always put the customer first, not everyone can get a spot on match I should know having a natural colour but mines always fab I for one rate them 5 stars more if I could, brilliant staff with amazing personalitys , remember they work all week to make you happy purchase from Paul's if you want the best quality hair, 😊 xxxxxxxxxxx

I can't believe how good the Universal hair extensions are.
I have used Paul's before and bought different brands but this stuff is great. Also the girl who recommended them was so nice. I'll see how long these last and probs buy some more.

This store doesn't even deserve a one star review but since there's not an option for zero I'm left with no choice. Management? Well.. Let me just leave this with you.

After ringing and checking the brand of hair extentions/make/colour and length and a half an hour journey to manchester to find out the incorrect hair extentions had been put to one side and then having to find another brand to match the one I had put to one side and had before, so frustrated!!!!! At the manchester arndale store some of the staff are rude and unhelpful don't waste your time going there they don't deserve your time and money, spend your hard earned money else where

dont bother, there are plenty other hair shops in Manchester in the northern quarter. this company even deleted my complaint off there facebook wall! staff ignore you and there extensions are dirty. they get left in the stockroom covered in dust and bugs and get resold. please do not go here.

The staff are so rude they have no clue. Vulgar common girls trying to upset cheap hair. Please people save your money and shop around you will regret stepping foot in here!!

I buy the sensationnel premium too deep wave bulk for braiding. Recently I can't seem to separate the strands as there is too much glue at the top which means I have to cut it off. So 18inches becomes a lot shorter. Also the hair which is supposed to be human feels like dolls hair and only looks good for a couple of weeks. Really disappointed change your supplier and check the hair coming in.

Dear Paul s hair world. I have visited your store for the second time last week and I have been hugely disappointed by the customer service of your store in the Arndale Centre in Manchester. After waiting for ten minutes to be served, (BTW not all your stuff behind the counter was not busy with other customers), I ve been directed to look at your charts as I was looking for a specific hair dye colour. Happy with that however your stuff was not prepared to give me info about the product I wanted to purchase. She kept saying quite rudely ...she is not an hairdresser so she could have not answer my questions. I understand that it s a shop for professionals. I am such and I wanted info about the product and not about hairdresser issues... Please train your stuff to know basic info about the products they are selling. I presume they are sale assistants for a reason, otherwise u can just employ chimpanzees they would do just as well.
Bad experience will endeavour not to shop in your store ever again.

Sad to see the poor reviews as I've only ever had great service @ the Oldham Street Store. The hair extensions & products that I purchased from Pauls Hair World have been excellent quality..... I have found them more dependable and reliable than other companies working in the same field. I have nothing but good things to say about this store.

Absolutely great customer service yesterday in the Oldham street store. Matched hair perfectly and recomended a lovely conditioning mask. The sales assistant could not be more helpful. Im in love with my hair. New to hair extension but I am so happy with the colour match and how they clip into my hair. I wish I had found you sooner.
Will definately be back to Pauls Hair World. Excellent!!! xx

I bought a full wig a month ago from the Glasgow store for £150. I accepted the one that was on display as they didn't have a brand new one. I wasn't offered a discount and paid full price. Took it to my hairdresser to have the fringe cut to my face shape and a clump was missing from the front. Flying on holiday the next day and having no hair of my own i had to wear it. Sent 4 emails with no reply about getting it fixed! Spent the whole time I was away stressing over it and having to position it constantly so people couldnt c it was a wig with a bit missing. Phoned the store and respose was to phone a different store then a different one again so have given in and emailed with no response either. Not great for the money I paid!

After asking for Virgin hair I was sold hair which had been stripped of colour.
Dye came out while being washed and was such poor quality I could not have the extensions put in- not even a partial refund ,on hair costing £395 which was poorer quality than £50.00 extensions!

Not very helpful and wrong advertising have to wait a week for refund after rushing to get it sent back.

I've had only positive experiences in the Manchester Arndale store so far and everyone I've been served by has been knowledgeable, incredibly helpful and patient. I am a real stickler for good service so if it wasn't spot on I would definitely not have returned as many times as I have. My issue is with the website. The last time I went in the guy that served me couldn't find me any medium brown curly extensions so advised me to go online which I did. I found the website is limited in curly styles and colours with the majority of its curly stock only catering for black women. I'm white with curly 3B hair and I really struggled to find anything that might work. I eventually ordered two small packs of hair extensions from the same range for around £15 each as I wasn't sure which colour I'd be. The postage and packaging is what really let the company down as I paid £9 for it to be sent tracked- possibly the most I've paid for packaging for anything over the past few years! It came with a scruffy and scribbled on piece of paper to say what my order was, no return form and was really really light so I don't know how it was possible it cost so much. You also only have a small window to return the hair and this return postage isn't paid for either. Both of the sets of extensions were very dark, almost identical despite them being different numbers so I had to return them by first class tracking which came to £6 which means I have effectively paid for a third pair of extensions due to all the postage costs and I am three hours of wages down with nothing to show for it. I was reluctant to buy anything else off the website because of that so I looked elsewhere online and found Cliphair which caters for all colours and has free postage and return postage to anywhere in the world. This is where Paul's Hair World has lost me as a customer. The prices on Cliphair for Remy extensions are half of what I have paid before and also come with clips already sewn in whereas Paul's Hair World charges £25 to sew clips in for you. I have returned the extensions I bought from them and the ease of which I get a refund will determine whether I return to Paul's Hair World as a customer.

Update:After posting my last review I'm updating my rating to four stars. My refund went without a hitch and after emailing them about the postage looked into and realized they had miscalculated and refunded me £3.99 of the £8.99 I paid. My reason for not giving five stars is still because I think 7 days for the return window isn't long enough, the curly hair selection is still quite small and I think return postage at least should be free in line with other major websites. Other than that I think the products are good quality, the service I've received has been great and everyone I've emailed has got back to me either within the hour or within 48 hours.

So raging I never read reviews on this place before I purchased my hair extensions!! Ordered Halo clip ins paid extra £10 for deluxe, and theyr everything but deluxe. They are so thin I've had cheap ones off eBay thicker than these fake things! Total waste of 80 quid honestly can't believe how thin they are I even showed my partner and his first reaction was "is that it?" fuming!! And also they didn't even have them in stock even though they took my money and sent me a shipping confirmation! Had to wait 10 days on these pieces of crap!!!!

I usually get my hair in person from the Liverpool Store, but recently ordered online. They emailed me back to tell me that the hair I had ordered was out of stock and they had none of that particular hair in their warehouse anymore, and to email them back to confirm how I wanted to proceed with the order, but I totally forgot to email them back, and forgot about the money that had been taken out of my account. 2 weeks later I received a package from Paul's Hair World - can I just say how trustworthy this company is, because they could have just as easily kept my money and not sent anything to me - with the Beauty Works hair that I had originally ordered, they really have went above and beyond to get the hair, the right shade and length to me, which is amazing especially right on the festive period, thanks so much to Gemma and the rest of the Online Orders Team!

I have been getting my hair extensions from Paul's hair world Manchester For almost 10 years now, and while I have never had anyone actually be rude to me, I have never ever recieved good customer service. The staff are always disinterested and not helpful, barely acknowledging anyone that comes in. This evening I was served by a girl called Lauren in the Arndale store and I couldn't have recieved better service. She was so friendly and helpful, acknowledged me as soon as a I walked in. Really knowledgable about the hair, making sure I had everything I needed, clips, thread. They really need more staff like that in there. I don't usually bother with reviews, but it was by miles a better experience than I have ever had I that shop and I feel she deserves praise.
