Great experience with this service, really helpful and would highly recommend.

Namesco is one of the better domain registration companies I have dealt with. I've had domains through them on and off for around 5 years (give or take) and this particular time around I have really appreciated their services.

They've walked me through the rigors of transferring non UK domains over to their services, and have been really patient with me because of technical issues out with their and mine control.

I've given them 5 stars, not only for their telephone customer service but their support services through the site as well. Both are to date impeccable, and I don't see me moving my services away from them in the near future.

I would not recommend Names.co.uk.

Their pricing may seem competitive when you first sign up, but the renewal costs are, in my opinion, excessive. Once you’re a customer, the annual renewal fees increase significantly, leaving you paying far more than expected.

What made the experience even more frustrating was that moving my domains away was far more difficult than it should have been. Instead of making the transfer process straightforward, it felt unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming.

There are many domain registrars that offer transparent pricing, reasonable renewal fees, and a much smoother transfer process. Based on my experience, I would choose one of those instead. Once renewal goes through they can't refund because they are a re-seller.

Easy to use, reliable service, and great customer support. Managing domains and hosting is straightforward, and any issues I've had have been resolved quickly. A dependable provider I'd happily recommend.

If your AI Annie cannot solve our problems despite following suggested steps diligently....we have no alternative but to speak to....A HUMAN!!!! This should be triggered as part of the process. If we do have to call... ANSWER YOUR PHONE!!!

I am very disappointed with this provider's pricing policy. Charging nearly 50 GBP per year for a domain renewal is completely unreasonable and significantly exceeds current market standards. I believe this pricing strategy is unfair to existing customers.

Since the company was unwilling to offer a reasonable rate, I have moved my domain to another provider where the registration process is much more transparent and cost-effective. If you are looking for a long-term solution at a fair price, I strongly recommend exploring other options before choosing this company.

My concern is not that renewal prices exist, but the huge difference between the introductory price and the renewal price. Offering a domain for around £1 initially and then charging nearly £50 per year to renew it two years later is, in my opinion, a customer acquisition tactic that is misleading and unfair.

While the renewal price may technically be displayed on your website, most customers are attracted by the very low introductory offer and only later discover how expensive it becomes. I consider this a form of customer baiting rather than transparent pricing.

This is why I decided to transfer my domain to another provider that offers fair and consistent long-term pricing. I would not recommend this pricing model to others and believe potential customers should carefully compare renewal costs before signing up.

They claim the .co.uk domain is completely free when in reality this is how it goes.

The basic reality is that it is only free for the first year. Their own terms confirm that the promotion applies to the initial billing period and does not apply to renewals.

After that first year, their currently published price for renewing a standard .co.uk domain for one year is £27.59 including VAT. In my opinion, that is an extortionate renewal price and considerably more than many competing registrars charge for exactly the same type of domain.

Yes, there is genuinely no upfront registration charge, but repeatedly emphasising “completely free” gives a very selective impression of the offer. The practical result is a free introductory year followed by a disproportionately expensive recurring price.

The £27.59 renewal cost should be made just as prominent in the advertising as the word “free,” rather than being something customers are expected to investigate separately.

Anyone considering this offer should compare the second-year renewal cost before registering. A free first year does not necessarily represent good value when the ongoing annual price is this high.
