Visited Butterworth Grange in Rochdale…
Visited Butterworth Grange in Rochdale today to facilitate a scam awareness session with the residents. Margaret the manager had arranged the session and gathered most of the residents to this much needed talk.
She made me feel very welcome, introduced me to people, made drinks and provided biscuits throughout the session and was very helpful in ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Margaret is an credit to your team and I would highly recommend Butterworth Grange

Cherrett Court, Ferndown…
My mother (100 years old) has recently passed away peacefully in her own home at Cherrett Court in Ferndown. She has lived there for 16 years The fact that she was able to stay in her own home until the end, was totally due to the exceptional care, love and support from the brilliant manageress Prema and all her staff who went above and beyond to ensure all her needs were met, both physically and mentally. A special mention goes to Ali, Nicky, both Mel’s, Sabina, Nick, Leanne and others who were so patient, respectful and loving. I couldn’t have asked for more. At one stage I thought I may have to move Mum into a Nursing Home but the staff stepped up, and supported by incredible district nurses and the palliative care team enabled mum to stay where she was surrounded by staff, residents and family. Thank you so much from all the family xx Carol (daughter)

a home from home in a great location
We have recently moved into Clothier Manor Gosforth
We received a warm welcome from the manager Dave and also from our fellow residents
The apartment is well appointed and so are the communal areas
The moving process supported by McCarthy and Stone was good
There is a lovely community here where there are activities you can join in or just lead your own life
The location is fantastic minutes away is a Marks and Spencer food and Asda
Also very close is a transport hub with the Metro and numerous bus services to Newcastle the coast and Northumberland

Animal rescue
I live in the Garstang McCarthy Stone development. Today together with our Home Manager successfully captured a young Jackdaw. Saving it from a predatory cat. The young bird was obviously scared as our gardeners were here. It fled into my apartment, where our Home Manager, who is very animal friendly, caught it and took it to a nearby vet, who welcomed the little fledgling. A good outcome I think

Here at Calico Court we are independent…
Here at Calico Court we are independent living yet the house manager spotted the local Age Concern was running a day trip to Llandudno so put details on our notice board just in case anyone was interested.
She also decorated the lounge with flags of all countries taking part in the World Cup, listed all the fixtures and kick off times to encourage residents to watch together in the lounge. She also organised a sweep to add a bit more interest.

I live at Jackson Place
I live at Jackson Place, Alcester. Last night we had a Bingo night to raise some money for Breast Cancer Now. We had a great evening. Our wonderful Home Manager, Emma came to Jackson Place for the evening to run all of our games of Bingo. We all had a great time and the the buffet food was great. We raised over £100 which was our first funding raising event for this great charity.

I recently attended the McCarthy and…
I recently attended the McCarthy and Stone Knutsford development Centennial Place. The house manager Zoe Tate was running three pop up cafes in their large spacious lounge raising monies for the McCarthy and Stone Foundation. I volunteered to help the events run smoothly. Twenty of the development residents attended, sitting down to specialist coffee and teas accompanied with scones with jam & butter or a large muffin, with a quiz to finish. All profit was added to the sponsorship raised for the walking challenge Zoe took part in the Peak District. The total sponsorship £522 was raised. On one of the dates, residents from local developments attended from
Roman Court, Middlewich and Oak Grange Hartford. It was great to see all residents including those from other developments having a wonderful time.

Dane Court is a great place to live.
Dane Court stood out for us clearly, as the best of the developments we looked at, when searching for a retirement home. The building is of such high quality, is very well maintained, and offers so many safety features, that we feel very safe and comfortable.
The service charge is reasonable, running costs are low, and Claire W is a superb House Manager: so caring and supportive, whilst also being very efficient and hard working.
We love our spacious apartment, and our balcony looking down on the River Dane. There is a real sense of community here too. Overall, Dane Court is a great place to live.

Gibson Court Woodhall Spa
I would like to comment on how helpful, informative, friendly and supportive Keith the House Manager at Gibson Court Woodhall Spa has been to my elderly parents and myself both prior to and after their move there recently it has been much appreciated. Gibson Court living is enhanced by the friendly community we have met who live there and by the location in the lovely Woodhall Spa.
