I ordered a ink refill for my epson…
I ordered a ink refill for my epson printer on 01-07-25 which was confirmed as sent to UPS on 02-07-25 UPS cannot trace package. Epson state that this is not their problem as they have sent item to UPS which is not legally correct!
Do not use this service. Thought i was doing the right thing in buying from registered supplier but customer service useless.
Well done Trust Pilot I had contact from Epson within 24hrs of posting the review and a satisfactory outcome all down to you. Thank you
Great customer service from Sara at Epson.co.uk
Bought one of their Durabrite ink printers as I needed water-resistant ink prints.
Had some problems with the online registration and extended warranty, which were sorted out by Sara at epson.co.uk.
Quick, polite and efficient responses, warranty difficulties sorted out immediately.
And BTW, the durabrite ink printer is excellent.
I would buy from Epson again.
I haven't even used the printer yet and…
I haven't even used the printer yet and I'm considering returning it just because of how obtuse customer service are.
I ordered from the official epson UK ebay outlet, they auto send the WEEE and "withdrawl" form. I check these and discover that although the file name says EN/English they are infact in German with German adresses.
No big deal I think, I'll just pop them a message and let them know, mistakes happen!
They respond asking me to email them. I do so.
They ask me to go on the website and tell chat. I do so.
Chat tells me to go back to epson ebay. I got back to epson ebay who copy and paste the message to tell me to go to chat again... chat say they'll escalate it. Then I get an email asking for screenshots. I provide them. Then they tell me after looking at the screenshots and reviewing I "mistakenly" requested a cancelation. I definitely did not do this I didn't even use ebay on the day they sent the original email. I try chat again because it clear nobody is reading my messages they then tell me they haven't responded yet and I'll get an email when they do... so why did someone email me saying I requested to cancel? They have no idea.
I know customer service can sometimes have limited options but literally I'm just trying to alert them to a technical error and get my sales info in English, should have been a 5 minute "oops, thank you for letting us know, we'll look into that!" conversation and instead I'm questioning if I want it at all because if I need to claim on warranty and it's like this it'll be a nightmare
Absolute scam artists
Absolute scam artists.
I have an Epson 2630 Workforce printer that has been fantastic for almost a decade! 10 years of working well. The only genuine ink cartridges I used were the ones from it new. From then I used compatible cartridges. The printer never missed a beat. Then the problem started when I set my old printer up on a new pc. It asked for a firmware update. And hey, for security reasons we're always asked to make sure we're on the latest firmware so I click accept. WORST MISTAKE EVER! PRINTER NOW DOES NOT PRINT. Just moments before the firmware update, it was printing fine. And with no changes other than the firmware, the ink cartridges became not compatible. The very same ones already working and installed. I was left with no option than to buy a new printer. The new Epson printer worked fine, then I deliberately bought compatible cartridges before any firmware update. Again they worked. As soon as the firmware was updated, again they didn't work. I called Epson support, their standard response is " we don't recommend non genuine cartridges as it shortans life of the printer and voids warranty". I reminded them 10 years on my old printer, they agreed this was good performance untill I droped the key detail it was using compatible cartridges in all that time untill the firmware update.
You can't backdate the firmware, leaving you to buy cartridges at around £100.
At no point the terms and conditions said Only compatible with genuine ink! It said Epson recommends the use of genuine ink. But they used the firmware to block use of anything other than Epson Cartridges.
I raised a complaint, it was ignored. Simply google Epson and firmware update prevents compatible ink and you will see the court cases against Epson.
Don't trust these con artists.
My ( 2 year old) XP 4155 eats ink at…
My ( 2 year old) XP 4155 eats ink at an alarming rate and costs a fortune to run - even though I only print about 25 documents a year. It is supposed to print using black only, but this isn't the case, turns out you have to have all the colours to print regardless. It just feels like a money making exercise for Epson. When appropriate, I tell everyone to avoid Epson. I see many other reviewers feel the same ...
Worst way to treat your customer
Worst way to treat your customer.
Bought a epson wf2960 last October. Turns out itnis not able to connect to the WiFi keeping the laptop even near to WiFi router and I was paying subscription every month to print.
It got replaced and then the serial number issue on the ready print service didn't allow me to print . It was resolved and turns out I was handed over a defective printer which has the same issue and amazing thing is this printer is still under warranty but epson customer service just not being helpful.
Just messages without any relevance to install this, install that, uninstall this uninstall that .
Just a nightmare product we bought and even an horrible service.
Please don't buy epson products , trust as this is coming from a customer who had bee using cannon for 5 years and epson duped me with a offer to buy one of theirs and now 0.
Absolutely HORRENDOUS experience
Absolutely HORRENDOUS experience!
The printer updated automatically and the update crashed the printer (totally rendering it useless).
I went to the website to re-download the latest software (including: drivers, firmware and installation software). However the downloads kept freezing and not installing.
I contacted the [absolutely useless] call centre (and web chat) 'customer service' staff who just kept telling me to do the same basic trouble shooting procedures that I had done multiple times!
I eventually noticed that my windows 10 (64 bit) operating system had been downloading a 32 bit software package from the Epson website (despite me selecting the correct operating system for my printer on the Epson website). The problem therefore was with Epsons web engineer's poorly managing the Epson website.
I EVENTUALLY managed to explain the situation to Epson customer service (all of whom are based in Egypt and can't really understand proper English). After which they 'escalated' to a higher tech support and I NEVER heard from them again!
I managed to find a second hand original installation disc online (for my printers make and model) and got it working again!
However, I will NEVER use Epson again! They are a disgusting company who can't organise themselves to sort a basic issue (even when the printer is still under warranty)!
AVOID!!!
Epson XP2205 printer
I bought an Epson XP2205 printer from Argos. What a complete waste of time and money, it will not connect to my computer and unable to print from phone as it is not able to connect to it tried the Epson helpline who just kept sending me a link to install it, they don’t seem to understand it was installed but still wouldn’t connect to WiFi. Wouldn’t give it any stars if that was possible
Worst customer Service & my first customer service review in my life
My projector broke for the second time, and despite six attempts, they failed to pick it up on time. They didn't call me back after I requested it, and when I finally spoke to the complaints team after three weeks, they argued with me about a fault that wasn't my responsibility. I'm shocked that customers buy from such a company.
I wish I had researched more before buying their projector. Getting through to them is a long process. I'll never buy from this company again and will contact the financial ombudsman.
Cheap poor quality products. Terrible customer service
I wouldn’t give this brand/company a one star review. Bought a printer which was replaced by Epson as it stopped working and it was replaced with a reconditioned printer.
Now this has only has only lasted 10 months and they have said warranty is valid for the original printer purchased which I find an absolute joke. I will not buying from this awful brand again. Stay away from these cheap poor quality products.
Brought brand new Epson WiFi printer…
Brought brand new Epson WiFi printer last year, cartridges are full with the colour inks and it's printing in the blue colours only. Very disappointing. I used to had very old HP for years and it will print even after month and month I am not using it
Readyprint - Shocking!! not a reliable service
Readyprint flex contract supposed to ensure I never run out of ink. Today I am chasing their customer support because despite the printer being connected, online, with up to date software, there was zero sign of an ink delivery, while my printer tells me it has run out of ink!!!! I contacted their support and after explaining the situation and the agent checking the issue, the call was mysteriously dropped. Phoned back and went through the same rigmarole, to then be told yes I can see your ink levels are well below the replacement order point. (20%) One colour is at 1%!!! I simply don’t understand how they can offer the contract commitment and then fail to deliver in such a spectacularly poor way. I am told it will never happen again but no explanation offered of how I can be in any way confident. My ink will take 2-3 days, I am told. I will have to go and buy some. Not good enough for a service which promises I will never run out and I need for business. Addition - they added a very small credit to my account but the ink promised to arrive did not appear the next day or even the day after - in fact their courier now says it will take 5 days to get here!!!! Amazon deliver overnight. Shockingly bad.
Appalling customer service
Appalling customer service. I ordered a printer, it was not delivered by UPS, despite them saying it had been. When I raised this with Epson they eventually gave me a refund for the item but in the meantime had increased the price of it by £70. When I asked them to honour the price I had paid they told as I had returned the item, I had to start again. Takes ages to get a reply and when you do it feels like they have no idea what to say that might actually be helpful.
The Worst Company Ever
Unfortunately, there are no options to give zero stars. I set up the printer and it didn't work, so they told me to keep doing nozzle head checks until the ink ran out. I had to wait another week for ink to arrive, and even though it was meant to be three months free, they have charged me for having to do these prints.
I have barely been able to use this printer in the month that I have had it, as now they are saying there is an issue with my payment method when there isn't. Their customer service is appalling, and they can't even listen properly.
Highly Misleading Advertising
I bought an Epson XP5200 printer from their eBay store. The Epson listing for this printer included (and still includes) the following wording which is in bold and underlined; "Product supplied with one FULL set of Epson ink cartridges". It wasn't, it was supplied just with a set of very low content setup cartridges. I have had a long email conversation with Epson about this and one of their CS reps even told me they would send me "....the missing ink pack as originally promised" but was apparently subsequently overruled. They have flatly refused to correct this or even acknowledge that their advert is misleading. It was the 'full set' statement that led me to choose this printer. Diabolical behaviour from a large multinational company and consequently this will be my last Epson purchase.
Edited a couple of weeks later to say that Epson actually blocked my email address from their 'Epson Level One' mailbox. Make of that what you will
An expensive bookend
I was suckered into buying an expensive Epson ET 2856 Ecotank printer in September 2023. I thought it would last longer done my usual cheaper printers but it hasn’t lasted as long as any of them. After 18 months the Wi-Fi stopped working. I spoke to Customer Support and they quoted me £150 to take it into a service centre because it’s out of warranty. Also, they couldn’t find any of my details even though I had registered the product when I bought it. I’ll stick to a different manufacturer in future and Epson will join my blacklisted companies. It’s disgraceful that Epson is allowed to sell such poorly designed products at a premium price to consumers.
Epson XP2205
Bought an XP2205. Absolute rubbish. Keeps losing Wi-Fi connection and frequent errors to be resolved. The controls seem to be counter intuitive. Replacement ink cartridges can only be Epson originals and these cost a small fortune. It’s still working but it’s going in the bin. Easily the worst printer I’ve ever had. Pay a bit more and you’ll get a better and cheaper printer in the long run.
Please don't buy Epson printer
Please don't buy Epson printer. I bought Epson printer 1 year ago and it cost higher price compared to others. But after 1 year it stopped working. When reached to the seller, they said it's a mechanical error and can't be repaired. Please don't buy any Epson printers.
Epson's helpdesk Scam
My recent experience with Epson’s outsourced helpdesk in India has been nothing short of appalling. On 28 May 25, I contacted them for help setting up my XP-2200 printer, which stopped connecting to the network after I changed my Wi-Fi router. It had worked perfectly with the previous one.
The support agent, who identified himself as Harvey, seemed more concerned about ending his shift than solving my issue. He told me he had just 20 minutes left and promised to call back the next day at 10am.
When he finally called at 10:45am, he remotely repeated the same troubleshooting steps I had already attempted multiple times without success. Then, without solid justification, he claimed my Mac’s OS (Monterey) needed an update—which they could provide for £220 plus VAT. I reluctantly agreed, hoping for a resolution.
After the so-called "upgrade," nothing changed—the printer still wouldn’t connect. Harvey abruptly ended the session and promised another call at 11am the next day. That call never came. In the meantime, I discovered there is no upgrade available from Monterey, making it clear this was nothing more than a scam.
Thankfully, I have not paid—and I absolutely will not.
This experience reveals an alarming lack of professionalism and oversight in Epson’s outsourced support. It’s disgraceful that a global brand allows such predatory behaviour under its name. #Epson, it’s time to take responsibility, clean up your support channels, and stop exploiting your customers.
Needless to say, I will never purchase an Epson product again.
PS: My 2-months old printer is still not working...
PPS: If I had been able to get through to Epson's helpdesk in the first place I'd not have felt the need to look for alternative numbers to reach them.

Avoid this very painful & costly experience.
I have 3 expensive projectors from Epson, one still working, one in a shed gathering dust, another that just went pop.
There are four significant issues with Epson I'm suggesting are so bad you should avoid this company at all cost (as that cost is yours).
1. They do not give a rat's a.. spoke with 5 so called support staff this morning all either lied, passed on incorrect information or just got rid of me.
2.They cannot source lamps for any of the three projectors I have. They are always out of stock and you are driven to Ebay (by Epson). I now have 2 of 3 dead.
3. The resellers they send you to also cannot source genuine lamps so you are driven to google them.
4. This Market place is full of cheap and not so cheap knock off lamps - but you cannot tell till they blow up. That's happened to me five times now and I know its a fire hazard because Epson told me knock off's are.
I don't know how a company once respected by so many has managed to decend into one who's customer support is so painfully awful. This one has managed just that meaning you're on your own. Good Luck with that...
P.S. Epson, I have all the proof anyone would need to fact check my statements. Ref: GB-253785748
Response to Epson:-
