I purchased a warranty to protect my washing machine. When I called for service they sent out a technician that had no idea what he was doing. He called me two weeks later asking for pictures of my machine, obviously he hadn’t yet ordered parts. After a month they told me my washer would not be covered and they would refund my money. Such a waste of time. Save your money and don’t buy a warranty with this company.

I have changed my email address and although I changed it I am unable to access my account with Domestic and General. I rang them up and was told that I would be contacted by their technicians. Nobody has contacted me yet. This is not acceptable as I will now cancel the agreements I have with them. If I am not treated right by a company I cease to deal with them

Fraude.
Se merecen que TODOS hagamos una reclamación formal a MediaMarkt.
Se han llevado el aparato, me envían mensajes de que están esperando las piezas de recambio, pasan los días y cuando finalmente lo recibo de nuevo el aparato está exactamente igual, sin funcionar. No han dado explicación alguna y ya no contestan....
Nunca más voy a contratar un seguro, mejor arreglo el aparato cuando se estropee y ahorro energía y disgustos

I received an email on 5th June that my policy was being renewed 5th July I emailed on 2nd July to cancel, they then proceeded to take the next payment. When I complained I was told that I had probably emailed the wrong department, I had simply replied to the renewal email I was sent. It is very bad communication when departments within companies are unable to communicate with each other. Burr the first gentleman I spoke to was very understanding when I called but his colleague called me back was severely lacking his customer service skills.

Esta empresa de seguros ofrece una atención deplorable. Es un auténtico fraude. Actualmente estamos cursando una denuncia en toda regla a través de asociación de consumidores. Nefasta. Tras contratar una póliza, la cancelaron unilateralmente tras realizar cobro bancario y por supuesto no solucionar la avería comunicada. Sin proporcionar ningún tipo de documento de la cancelación. Se solicitó poder verificar los motivos de la cancelación sin obtener ningún tipo de resuesta

Getting the policy was fine. But have just had a phone call from them stating it was Domestic and General then asking me to confirm my details. When I said, you phoned me, what is this phone call about? He huffed asking if i needed anything else covered. Then when I said I didn't want anything covered he replied ,thanks for your time and hung up straight away. Hilarious but unprofessional

Vorige maand mijn contract beëindigd, maar geen bevestiging van hun kant en ze blijven gewoon geld incasseren van mijn rekening! Hier moet ik dus verder achteraan en kostbare tijd besteden!!!

Absolutely brilliant service now whether it was D and G or Beko but booked my repair online booked an appointment for Beko to call needed a new fridge door and a week later all done

This company is nothing but crooks.
I cancelled my plan. So they can get that last monthly service fee… they take it out of my account and say it’s after the billing period and I have coverage for 30 days. I was not told. Nor did I ask. What are you covering for when in all that period of time - over a year you were NEVER called and received free money.

Based on what I see you come out better not buying the plan and just get another washer and dryer to throw in a landfill since this company is a scam.
BUYER BEWARE.

I never do this but I am tired of companies like this scamming and hiding behind policy.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING still waiting for my washing machine to be fixed over a month now I’ve been waiting. Engineer said it’ll be 48 hours for an update, still theses anything was given 2 local numbers to call no answer terrible way to treat your customers. Once my washing machine is fixed (if it ever does) then I’ll be leaving straight away, POOR POOR COMPANY.

Thoroughly Apalling Service Level
I have used D&G for all my appliances for years and years. I called them out to fix my heat pump tumble drier during the winter and that took a month to be fixed.
Last week our oven blew, could only book repair ‘online’…earliest available appointment was a week away.
Engineer called yesterday, element has gone, checked stock, none available so just left the house. I rang today to find out what was going on, on hold for 45 minutes, put through to ‘offshore’, (and here’s your issue D&G), told part ordered, no idea when it will arrive but more than likely 10 working days…THEN they will get back in touch to book an engineer to fit it, all in all this will take at least a month….I currently have 7 policies with D&G and they’re all getting cancelled when eventually my oven does get fixed 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

I’ve been paying D&G for years. Renewed every year. My dishwasher broke yesterday. Couldn’t locate any of my plan numbers. Unrecognised on the system. After being on hold on the phone for too long, I was eventually told my dishwasher isn’t covered. There’s no way I’d cover my washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge but not my dishwasher. So angry, I’ve cancelled every single payment. Will never use ever again. Disgusting service.

Some people shouldn’t be in a customer service role. That is when you can get through to them.
Have had numerous problems with our dryer. Each different engineer that comes out blames the last one. It’s got to the point now that it blows our electrics when in use.
Engineer comes out on Wednesday 19th, is on the phone to his boss for 50 mins before replacing a part, and you’ve guessed it. It blows again. Said engineer orders new part and says I’ll have to wait again to get it fixed.
Called up to complain about the time it’s taking but can’t get through. Eventually selected ‘cancel’ my policy and is put straight through.
Operator submits my grievance about it and tells me someone will be in touch. No one gets in touch.
Calls today and gets told they have dismissed my complaint and I need to wait for engineer. The woman on the phone sounded like she was more interested in whatever she was doing rather than talking to me. Didn’t listen to what I was saying and fobbed me off. Left me frustrated and ready to cancel all of my other policies as it’s an absolute waste of time. I’m sure there are better appliance insurances than D&G around

Tried to book a repair online and the booking system did not work. Gave it a few days same issue. Called them and their booking system was not working so they took my details and assured me of a call back. 3 Weeks later nothing.

Called them and some bloke in India answers the phone "Hello!" then radio silence. Not "Good afternoon, Domestic and General how can I help." His service was appaling. Finaly gives me another number to call which was incorrect. When I got the correct number the lady put me on hold and then cut me off.

I tried again and was on hold for over 20 mins. USELESS service. I am appaled as to how bad this company has become. The only person worthy of being called an employee at this company was Steve Trangmar who finaly managed to book this repair for me and did what I would have expected any member of their staff to do from day one.

Once repaired i'll be cancelling my policies with them going forward.

Purchased washing machine November 2021 after numerous phonecalls engineer visits machine still vibrates to the extent it moves and shaking about they have replaced the casing the drum springs shock absorbers heater element still vibrates violently said it was the floor thats making the machine do this had floor lifted took photos sent to ombudsman they said because its not electrical or mechanical they cannot help so gave up on them just purchased another new machine put in same place working perfectly no shaking very little vibration the machine l purchased in November 2021 is still under warranty outside in my back garden rapped under a cover

Absolute waste of money using this company to provide insurance. 3 year old Candy/Baumatic washing machine has broken down consistently since day one, hence why I took the policy. The latest issue has meant I've been without a washing machine since 14 June. Now 20 July. FOUR engineers cannot fix it. One said it could be used, so I used for a few weeks until another engineer arrived and deemed it unsafe as apparently giant hole in the drum and water will leak and make it a fire hazard.

D&G is literally taking my money for no reason and I am getting little to no help with the actual problem. Already spent over 25 minutes in a call this morning (still on hold).

I cannot stress enough - do not use this company for help with repairs.

I'm at the stage of just going out to buy a new machine as I can't deal with the hassle and high cost of launderettes any longer!

Un'assistenza inesistente. Fanno sottoscrivere il contratto immediatamente e poi spariscono. Mi hanno tenuta in ballo con scuse varie per poi scoprire, dopo più di due settimane, che il pezzo non sarebbe stato più disponibile. Rispondono da un call center composto da personale maleducato e totalmente incompetente. Si appoggiano poi a centri assistenza di zona che tutto hanno a cuore tranne la soddisfazione del cliente. Un consiglio?Chiamatevi un tecnico vero la prossima volta!

Absolut top! Bei meinem heute telefonisch gemeldeten Versicherungsschaden unseres Geschirrspülers war die Mitarbeiterin nicht nur sehr kompetent, schnell, sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend, unkompliziert und zielgerichtet. Besser und kundenfreundlicher geht’s nicht! Mit freundlichen Grüßen Jürgen Mayr
