Efficient service of Sam Munden
Working as a Procurement Manager, I really would like to highlight an efficient service of Sam Munden. In a busy construction industry Sam can satisfy 100% of our needs: prompt response followed by a quote, finding materials that could be out of stock in the UK!!, fast delivery service. Told day of delivery it wasn’t coming
Ordered materials for site, on the afternoon the delivery was due I received an e-mail saying goods could not be delivered as there deliver vehicle wouldn’t fit. Complete lie as the site is on a main road which is also a bus route. Then said they could use an alternative vehicle but would have to charge me an extra £95+VAT. Very disappointed at the short notice and attempt to get extra money. As a result of the none delivery, I had to let others down.

Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear about your disappointment and understand how frustrating it must have been, especially when you're relying on timely deliveries for your site.
Just to clarify, we did reach out to you the day after your order (on 16.07.25) to explain that the standard delivery vehicle—a double-sided curtain wagon—wouldn’t be able to access the high street location due to its size and the metal barriers in place. We checked with several suppliers, and unfortunately, none were able to make the delivery with their usual fleet or within the timeframe you needed.
The only immediate solution available was to use a smaller van via a third-party courier, which came with an additional charge of £95 + VAT. We also offered alternative options, such as collection from a nearby merchant or delivery to a different address with suitable access. We completely understand that the added cost and delay were frustrating, but we did our best to find a workable solution quickly given the access restrictions and vehicle limitations.
We do take your concerns seriously and appreciate the opportunity to explain the situation. If you have any further questions or need help in the future, we’d be happy to assist.

ordered and paid for materials online which clearly stated in stock to then be called 3 days later to say they can not and will not fore fill the order. only option to me was two wait another 3 days for my money back!

We're truly sorry to hear about your recent experience, and we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We understand how frustrating it must have been to place an order with confidence, only to later find out it couldn’t be fulfilled.
Our stock system typically reflects overall product availability; however, the stock can be located anywhere in the UK and is not always area-specific. In this case, the quantity you required was unfortunately not available in your delivery area. We did offer the option to purchase 10 units at a time, which would have allowed us to ship directly to your site. We understand that this solution did not work for you, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused.
While this explanation doesn’t excuse the disruption, please know that we are actively working to improve our stock accuracy and ordering processes to avoid similar issues in the future.
Regarding the refund, we sincerely apologise for the delay. Refunds are processed as promptly as possible, but depending on your payment method, it can take a few days for the funds to appear in your account.
We value all feedback, including critical comments, as it helps us improve.

Poor Service, Incorrect Products, and No Accountability
I wouldn’t recommend using this company. They don’t supply items directly – instead, they source them from third-party suppliers, which means there’s no guarantee you’ll get what you ordered, or that it will be decent quality.
I ordered fence battens and ended up receiving bright blue roof battens, delivered by Jewsons. I refused that part of the delivery, but they still left behind a small roll of weed membrane – a minor part of the original order.
It took over two weeks and a lot of chasing to get a refund for the incorrect timber, but they refused to refund the £35 delivery charge. That’s left me with some very expensive weed membrane and no timber.
Customer service was poor throughout, the order was wrong, and there was no real accountability. I won’t be using them again.

As you've pointed out, we do work with a network of trusted suppliers to fulfill orders, which allows us to offer a wider range of products. However, it's clear that in your case, this process didn’t meet expectations — and that’s on us. Receiving incorrect items and experiencing difficulty with resolution is not the level of service we aim to provide.
Regarding the delivery fee, unfortunately we do have a minimum order charge so this fee would have still applied if you had only ordered the correct item delivered.

Super helpful
Grahame was very helpful, we got what we needed in record time. The only company that actually helped with our urgent request, didn't have the item that we were looking for but quickly offered a better alternative and made the delivery happen as promised. This is what i call good sales. I highly recommend!

Absolutely shocking service, don't trust them you will receive wrong goods and never get a refund!!
Absolutely shocking service.. I made an order paid for it they sent the wrong items, when I asked for them to be changed or refunded the same day they told ne they would get the matarials picked up... 4 weeks down the line they still not been picked up I contacted them again and they told me sorry you have to get in touch with the seller your quote expired... 1) it wasn't a quote as l've ordered it and paid you for it it's down to you to rectify it.. 2) this company just gets your order and forwards it on to other builders merchants, like mine come from travis Perkins,
Don't use this company because you will order something pay £500 pound like I did and get sent the wrong stuff then they don't want to know
