Building Materials Nationwide has been an incredible supplier to work with. I work closely with Steve Maschke, he consistently goes above and beyond, always delivering on what he promises and making the impossible seem possible. Time and time again, he's been able to source products that other suppliers either can't get or simply won't supply.
His pricing is consistently competitive, his communication is excellent, and he's incredibly efficient. I know I can always rely on Steve to get things done quickly and professionally.
I'm so glad Steve reached out to us, as he's become a trusted supplier and someone we genuinely enjoy working with. If you're looking for someone who is reliable, resourceful, and always willing to go the extra mile, I couldn't recommend Steve highly enough.

l ordered 30 x 20kg bags of blue circle…
l ordered 30 x 20kg bags of blue circle cement from this company, on a Monday 6 July 26, in the morning before twelve no problems with the order and asked if they could deliver between 10am and 15:00 hrs so as to avoid possible chaos in our cul-de-sac. No notification of when delivery is due until Wednesday 8 July 26 at 08:05 had a text delivery 'delivery expected at 09:34' delivery arrived at 09:10.
The driver was blocking up the street with out riggers and so I told him to place the covered pallet on our small front garden, so he could get out of the road and stop blocking it, we would wheel barrow it round the back later.
On the order it wasn't what l had ordered instead of blue circle they had sent 30 x 'Heidlberg'40n .
I contacted BMN and was told we supplied you with an alternative , with no conversation or contact whatsoever.
When l told BMN that l could have purchased the same concrete mix 12 miles down the road and for £44.80 less than you have charged me, they were not interested and told me you couldn't get It for less than a fiver.
I supplied BMN with copies of their order and a order from 'Tippers' of Staffordshire showing exactly the difference of £44.80 less for the same delivered items.
I asked BMN if l could have difference paid back into my account, because they had broken the contract of sale without any notification or point of contact.
l have been told by BMN to read their terms and conditions, in which l have already seen two other breaches of contract through failing to notify customer of when to expect delivery and amendments to order placed again without any notification.

Apologies from BMN for no contact on notification of said 'email' delivery timing and window allocation not met which is set out in their t's and c's.
If you think that a text message at 08:05 stating delivery is 09:34 but arriving at 09:18 when asked on order for a possible delivery window of between 10:00am and 15::00pm because of the delivery location was in a cul-de-sac and the fact the driver blocked the street and placed the pallet to the nearest accessible place to enable him to quickly unblock his street blocking is good enough?
This delivery request was ok'd and cleared when making payment on line.
Which service was l wrong in ordering on line before twelve o'clock in order to achieve a early delivery ? A standard service? or a dedicated courier service?
Now you tell me that l shouldn’t have even ordered anything under £750 under your t's and c's
This tells me one thing you cannot even abide or stick by your own terms and conditions.
And you are still wrong in the two order and delivery receipts I sent as proof, they are not a comparison, they are genuine quotes from yourselves and Tippers.

We sincerely apologise if your experience did not fully meet your expectations.
As mentioned in our previous correspondence, the Heidelberg product supplied is an appropriate equivalent to the Blue Circle product you originally ordered and complies with the same specifications.
It is common practice within the construction industry to use equivalent branded products when they meet the necessary performance standards.
Nonetheless, we recognise that we should have contacted you prior to making any substitution and apologise for not doing so.
We appreciate that you have requested a refund for the price difference. However we have reviewed the comparison you provided from the alternative supplier and, after checking the pricing, including the applicable delivery charge to your postcode, we can confirm that the price difference is £4.20 plus VAT, not £44.80 as stated. As a result, we are unable to agree to the refund you have requested.
We also acknowledge your comments concerning delivery timing and communication. While we always endeavour to accommodate delivery requests, specific timed deliveries cannot be guaranteed as part of our standard service. Guaranteed delivery slots require a dedicated courier service, which incurs additional costs and would need to be arranged at the time of order. We recognise that your preferred delivery window was not achieved on this occasion and apologise for not meeting your expectations.
Finally, we would like to clarify that our Terms & Conditions specify that we mainly operate as a trade supplier for those in the construction trade, with a minimum order value of £750 for retail orders. As your order did not meet this threshold, it would not normally have been accepted. However, we chose to process your order as a gesture of goodwill.
We regret that you remain dissatisfied and sincerely appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.

Don't waste your time going through this company. They do not carry any stock themselves and will just call a merchant, as you can do yourself. Adding a pointless link to the supply chain.
I ordered some timber on an advertised 2-3 delivery. Three days on, after an unanswered email they replied to say the size I had paid for were unavailable. I would need to get the next size up and pay additional costs.
Almost three weeks later with two missed promised delivery days with the textbook transport problems excuse, I found out which merchant they had placed the order with.
I contacted the merchant directly and they confirmed that the order hadn't even been placed and was still just a quotation due to there being a problem with their account.
The merchant also confirmed that they did have the size I wanted and they could deliver the following day. I therefore cancelled my order and placed an order direct with the merchant. All the correct materials were delivered the following day.
I'm currently a week in waiting for the refund.
Don't waste your time with this company.

Needed to bulk buy some timber last minute. I spoke to Grant.S on the phone who was super helpful. Due to the last minute oder, I wasn't able to place the order in the dimensions I needed. Due to it being so last minute, I was fine with this. When the delivery came, I was joyed to see that the the timber was cut to the dimensions I needed. Ended up saving me alot of time. Great customer service.

We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We do not hold stock directly on site as we operate from an office and source materials through our supplier network once orders are placed.
Unfortunately, after your order was processed, availability was extremely limited and the only suppliers able to fulfil the quantity required were charging approximately £500 in courier costs for delivery, which made the order unviable at the advertised price.
Rather than pass on these excessive delivery charges, we contacted you immediately to explain the situation and arranged a full refund, which is now being processed.
We understand the frustration caused and would once again like to apologise.

Not really impressed with the service…
EDIT: company responded below on 08/05, but we are on 17/05 and no sign of refund or any communication outside of here. Changing to 1 star.
Not really impressed with the service for a £100 delivery cost. Part of my order did not arrive on the pallet and 3 weeks later I’m still waiting for it. No response to my last email either.
Materials delivered as described and good quality.

Your order was placed on Friday 9th January at 14:26, after our 12 pm cut-off and late in the working day and our team do not work weekends.
While Monday 12th January was a full working day, we had other orders to manage and needed to confirm stock availability with our suppliers, which takes time.
Once supplier availability was fully confirmed, we were unfortunately advised that the parts would not be available for approximately one month.
We contacted you at 09:20 on Tuesday 13th January to explain this and to offer a full refund, which has now been processed.
