The web-page is fairly easy to use and if you get stuck an e-mail was quickly answered. The product bought was of very good quality, well packed and arrived undamaged.
Next day delivery does not work at weekends, so a packet ordered and advised to the carrier Friday will not be picked up until Monday but will be delivered Tuesday in the UK.
My computer is now in France, the review applies to UK,not for sending to France !

Beautiful, heavy and made to last! The description perfectly matched the item. This switch will outlast any modern equivalent. Adds a perfect industrial feel to my garage area.

I received one of the most unique things I've ever come across on Etsy from Vintage Electric. My item was shipped quickly, boxed well, and everything was 100%.

Really unfortunate that I’m having a write a second negative review about this company, which I hate doing, but currently I have an unwanted item that I’ve paid £150 for and can’t get any correspondence about returning.
Have contacted several times now through various different methods (email/contact us page on website/instagram).
I received one reply to my second attempt to contact them to inform me I was outside the return window (as per their refund policy I wasn’t outside this window…and my first email, which I had sent days earlier, that I didn’t get a response too, definitely wasn't outside the return window)

The response to my last negative review said details had been emailed to me directly and to check my spam. I had been checking my junk mail daily following the initial lack of response. There has been NO email, spam or otherwise, that has provided direction on how I should proceed.

I sent a fresh set of emails/contact us enquiries/Instagram messages following their response to my previous negative review. Again no replies.
I have provided a contact number to allow them to contact me directly to have the issue resolved also. Still nothing.
Really frustrating. At this stage I feel like I’ve given them ample opportunity to sort this out.
Again I note another customer had similar issues with lack of response from customer service regarding a return. My advice would be that if you are planning on possibly having to return an item…don’t bother ordering!

Still absolutely no contact re returning item and has been 3-4 weeks now. c£150 out of pocket. Would avoid - not worth the risk if you don’t like the item or parts missing as you won’t be able to return or refund…

I’m genuinely shocked and disappointed at how poor my experience has been, especially compared to the glowing reviews that convinced me to order in the first palce.

I placed an order on 20 June for two Cawston XL pendant shades, costing over £300. The product page showed a green “in stock” indicator, a live stock count, and normal delivery times. As of today, the site still shows 25 in stock, with no mention of pre‑orders or extended lead times.

Despite this, I’ve had no communication at all since placing the order. No replies to live chat. No replies to email. No replies on Facebook, where other customers also seem to be struggling to get any contact. The silence is what’s really making this worse, because I have no idea what’s actually happening with my order.

Out of frustration, I contacted the owner through their Etsy shop, where they sell the exact same item. I was told
"dispatch would normally be 3 to 5 days"
Only when I explained that I had already ordered through their website did the story suddenly change to “pre‑order,” “10 to 14 days,” and “a batch of 20 being made.”

This directly contradicts the website, which shows the items as in stock with a green indicator, a stock count, and standard delivery times. I even provided screenshots, and communication stopped immediately afterwards.

The mixed messaging around lead times, handmade batches, and pre‑order items is completely at odds with what the product page displays. It’s confusing, contradictory, and feels misleading.

At this point, I’m left wondering when, or even if, my order will arrive, and whether I need to start a chargeback with my bank.
What began as an exciting purchase has turned into a stressful and disappointing experience. We’re now having to delay electricians because we have no idea what’s happening.

Seeing other customers reporting the same communication issues on Facebook makes me think this is a pattern that isn’t reflected in their overall reviews.

I feel massively let down. This is not what was advertised, and certainly not the experience I expected.

The shades did finally arrive and seem as expected. Good quality.

However, I do feel the need to comment further, prompted by the sellers reply below.

The website clearly states "in stock" or "low stock" and when the delivery information is clicked on, on that exact pages, the timescales do not say a lead time - they state, and I quote:
" SHIPPING & RETURNS
We endeavour to dispatch next-day delivery orders on the same day if they are placed before 1pm, Monday to Thursday. Orders placed after 1pm will be dispatched on the next working day.

Orders placed after 1pm on Friday will be dispatched the following Monday. Please note that we do not offer Saturday or Sunday delivery. Any next-day delivery order placed on a Friday (before 1pm) will arrive on Monday.

We have two levels of postage:*

Free economy postage over £60

Next Day – £9.99 Next working day
Economy – £5.99 3-5 days

*Except on bulky items and made to order products which can have slightly longer lead times"

A lead time of 7-14 days is indeed quoted further down the description but unfortunately when it's this contradictory, how can you know what's right and what's wrong. Misleading. Contradictory. Unclear.
The worst part is the hiding from contact, refusing to answer customers via email, giving contradictory ETA's on Etsy and the lies that they have already spoke to me.
The only contact I had was forced by me and was via Etsy, where the ETA for the same item was stated as "we would despatch 3-5 days after the order was placed".

A shambles of a seller. I'm amazed a successful business comes out of the effort demonstrated in my dealings with them.

Unbelievably shocking. Company finally got in touch, offered a refund and then ignored all messages for a return address and refund. Having to charge back through my credit card to try and get the money back.

Great product, really nice quality, matches the work being done at home, compliments the other electrical work. It's good to find quality vintage inspired products with such an attention to detail, well worth the price. Great build quality, our electrician was impressed as well!

Product was awesome! Bought a champagne box as a gift for a friend and she was so pleased with it. I will be going back to buy one for myself :-) Company was great with communication and really quick to send product out, too. Highly recommend.

I ordered and then cancelled. This was done extremely quickly. I then ordered again and it was delivered within a couple of days. The item (rusted steel ceiling bar) is exactly what I wanted.
