Lovely house
Shame about poor communication when part of deposit retained! Weeks of chasing for security deposit to be returned and then some retained without any email to explain why. Spurious explanation given when prompted Shame when positive experience of company in previous year and during holiday this year

The villa itself was beautiful, we couldn't fault it. A month after we returned we were advised that we were being charged for damage to a bed runner. (the photo showed the runner appeared bleached, and we didn't even have bleach in the house) However, I had bought additional insurance through Villanova so I told them we shouldn't be charged because of that. I was then told that the insurance company was external and that I would need to claim it back from them. I was charged €200 for the damage and the insurance company EVENTUALLY told me that I would only be entitled to €150 back. We went in May of 2023, was told the credit would be issued to my bank in August of 2023 and as of today (August 2024) I have not received a refund despite several emails being sent.

A great company to deal with and a great villa to stay in.

Villanovo have beautiful villas, but be very aware of their pricing strategy, which is to hook you in with a good price, and then charge you (a lot!) for everything you might expect to be included. Sheets in a five bed villa ? An extra 400 euros please. Cleaning charge?
(compulsory) an extra 300 euros. You want towels, 8 euros a person, not emptying the bin 'correctly'? A fine of 50 euros per bin etc. They try to get money from you at every turn.

The process was a little slow and inconsistent. We requested all available properties in Marrakech over a certain set of dates, and were told only a fraction of possible options. When we enquired about others that seemed to show availablity online, they were magically available again. The pricing was inconsistent with the online rates, and the response time was slow (often several follow-ups needed on our end to get a reply). All in all, I was not left 100% confident in our booking process and expectations of what will happen on arrival.

I received very attentive service with patience as it took awhile for me to make up my mind. I had a lot of questions. But one question didn't get answered as I wanted to know the ratings on the villa as I couldn't find any on line. Do you have any ratings on it?

Villanovo was great and very responsive. Unfortunately we could not get flights to the island for the dates in April that were available for the villa we wanted. We'll start earlier next time
