Coolest over shorts for gravel riding
I have been looking for over shorts for gravel riding for ages as alot of them look a bit naff. I stumbled across Victory Chimp and really liked the gear on the website. They are moderately priced and I believe Italian made. I recently purchased them as they look stylish on/off the bike and for the cafes & pub stops so don’t look like wearing all Lycra gear.
I feel it’s comfy, quality & stylish. I am so pleased I just made my second order for a thermal long sleeve jersey, can’t wait to try it out as the description and reviews seem spot on. They also do a discount for first time purchases.

Great piece of kit
The medium came up rather larger than expected but Victory Chimp were efficient in replacing it with a small. This is a great piece of kit. Stylish and going to keep me warm on winter rides.

Consistently slid off my nose as there is no curve to the arms. Waste of money. As for customer service when you have an issue... not my problem guv. Avoid.
No facts misrepresented. My head is a perfectly normal size. The glasses are poorly designed and the 'new adjustable nose model' is evidence the retailer knew this. The arms weren't melted; a gross misrepresentation of the facts Ryan. The 'shaped arms' do not ensure a 'secure fit.' Quite why you would want to resell something that's clearly not fit for purpose says everything about the retailer.
If “put the end of the arms in hot water and gradually bent them” translates into ‘absolutely melted’ and ‘submerged them in boiling water’, then yes Ryan, it was all me. Or your response is disingenuous claptrap.

Just a gross misrepresentation of facts here. The glasses didn't fit the customer, no problem, in rare cases they are too large or too small. We immediately offered either refund or exchange for our new adjustable nose model. Customer then explained they had melted the arms attempting to reshape the glasses into a different frame shape. As most buying these will know, cycling sunglasses do not have curved arms so they can be placed in helmet vents. Our glasses have shaped arms to ensure a secure fit and helmet compatibility.
Rather than saying "not my problem" as the review suggests, we simply explained that the glasses could not now be accepted for exchange has they had been melted, bent and rendered unusable/unresellable. An entirely reasonable policy shared by any warranty or returns process. Had they requested a return or exchange prior to attempting to melt the glasses, there would be no issue whatsoever. - Ryan

The new adjustable nose model is far from evidence of bad design in the original model. We tweak and improve each iteration. The adjustable nose bridge fits a wider variety of face shapes, but has no bearing on the overall width of the glasses which seems to be the issue here. The arms were absolutely melted, the customer told us as much by email that they submerged them in boiling water and bent them until they broke. We make these glasses, so we're not reselling anything. They are absolutely fit for purpose as our many thousands of happy customers can attest.

Good shopping experience on the website with exception to some product links lead to empty pages with no further information.
Customer services responded to my query very quickly.
Good experience overall and would probably buy from them again if I can try on the gear before I buy - e.g. if they start selling in high street shops. I ordered a XXXL based on the sizing chart but it looks like XXL might be better for me (but I won’t be able to tell until I try for myself, I don’t like purchasing online to try the fit of clothes).
Quality of the bibs I bought is good. Take with a pinch of salt though because my only benchmark is Decathlon/Van Rysel (which has suited me fine so far).
I love the brand and would love to see more of it out there.

Making the uncool, cool
I’ve bought a couple of signature packable jackets, two pairs of A.P.E sunglasses and the thermal arm warmers. The quality of all are amazing! The delivery time is always as promised. The fit of the jackets is next level and they are the easiest to pack into the built in packable pocket of any I’ve tried. The sunnys are fantastic and make me feel like I’m the coolest commuter. The arm warmers have been fully utilised on the 5am commute and fold away nicely for the sunny ride home. All in all a brilliant brand with quality products and great prices.
