Arrived on time and fixed the problem in two visits. Very helpful and friendly.
I would recommend AA for a very prompt and timely visit.

Mechanic didn’t turn up
Very disappointing service. Mechanic didn’t turn up! My appointment was confirmed for 9am–12pm, so I took the day off and rearranged childcare. After calling at 9am and being told the mechanic was coming, I was then contacted at 10:50am and told he wouldn’t arrive until 2pm. That simply wasn’t possible for me. Completely unacceptable communication and a waste of my time. Waiting for my refund now

Very plesant mechanic came to our home…
Very plesant mechanic came to our home and done the work quickly. He identified some other issue and fixed that too. Overall cost was actually less that that I had received from my local garage.

Work still not completed, poor communication
Engineer didn't have a part to complete service, was advised he would order and arrange to come and complete within the next 5 days prior to our MOT.
Was also advised our service documents would be sent via email, never received
No email, no contact and did not come back.
Nearly 4 weeks later received email with service report stating everything completed, I contacted them to say it hadn't and the part had not been changed. She apologised said it must have been marked complete by mistake and i had already paid for the part, she made an appointment for the engineer to complete. Appointment was for today (8th) with a time slot 12-1800, I explained we needed to get back from work so she entered notes for the engineer to attend from 1630 onwards.......guess what he hasn't turned up, and I have tried to track the engineer via the AA chat which is basically a waste of time. I will never use smartcare again for any future services I will go to my usual garage, the only reason I booked was it is supposed to be easy and hassle free, what a joke.

Dreadful, avoid
No communication, I was left without my car for 9 days as they gave the garage wrong information, sent wrong parts, failed to provide authorisation to the garage for the work, failed to send parts until reminded by the garage. I wasted hours of my day calling to chase and get them to do what was needed

Not very reliable on time
We was given a time my service was coming so we stayed in ,but I had to phone up because now one turned up.
It was one hour and 45 minutes later I got a phone call telling me he’s on his way.
NOT VERY HAPPY.
