A good mechanic who did a good clean job.not much more to say,the only downside was as he was a quite tall man he had to adjust the seat which in my ignorance had problems getting it back to where I wanted it,my problem of course

Very easy to use, found me a great local garage who did my MOT just a couple of days later.

The actual service and the AA mobile mechanic was 5 star. However, had I not called to check up on his whereabouts I would have waited nearly 7 hours for him to turn up, when I was expecting him between 9am and 12 noon. The booking process gets you to choose a slot and you then get an e mail confirming the slot, and that Smart Care will confirm the likely two hour slot on the day, and that the mechanic will call when 15 minutes away. I was expecting to hear by 10am roughly when I could expect the mechanic to arrive. As I heard nothing by 11.30 I called the helpline who said the mechanic may have been other jobs for the same time period as me or may get called out on an unscheduled breakdown. I was told the mechanic might not be able to see my job on his device if this is the case, and that smart care wouldn’t necessarily know either. So basically I waited until nearly 2pm then called the helpline again. This time to be told it might be 4pm before the mechanic arrived. Again no notification. Until I rang. Finally at 3pm the mechanic rang at 3 pm and said he would arrive by 3.15 pm, which he did. He was excellent, and did a great job, but confirmed that he had no sight of my details until he had finished his other two jobs. He even said he had to turn down an unscheduled breakdown job to ensure he didn’t keep me waiting longer. So had the AA told me of the lengthy delay I could have spent 6 hours doing other things rather than waiting at home. So, great service from the mechanic, but serious flaws with Smartcares diary system and communications. Hence a 2.

The garage did a good, thorough job as far as I can tell. I was kept up to date with what they found during the MoT & service & it was sorted that day. Also the staff were pleasant.

My car was picked up I was informed about the work needed for the MOT and agreed to it, it was done and the car was delivered back the same day
