Great service throughout. Chris kept me updated with what time to expect him and when he was on his way. Professional and respectful. Adviced what would need doing on my next service. I would highly recommend on using mobile mechanics.

Great customer service ,told me time would take to fit car part and called me earlier than expected to say my car was ready,the staff were really friendly and professional.

Booked a after 12pm oil and filter change. Lots of emails stating the mechanic would ring in the morning giving me a more accurate TOA. No phone call so had to ring up myself and was told he would be there about 3.30pm.
Mechanic rang at 2.45pm saying he would be there in 10 mins.
Happy with the work done.

The service was excellent I would use again

Absolutely disgusting service 2 mechanics arrived on time. Fortunately i had a camera what records where my car was parked. They only changed the oil and checked the tyres nothing else was done. I mentioned when they said they had finished about the coolant to be told i ain't sure i will ask my colleague. He then came back saying they forgot and its done now. They spent 40 minutes at the car mostly standing talking on their mobile phones smoking and eating.then pulled up in the corner of the carpark for a further hour before they left.

I would not even give 1 star its better to take it to the garage they will damage your car i will never use smart care again

I booked my car for repair, MOT and service with you through your approved garage. Your garage requested for further investigations on the repairs and I approved again through AA. 5 days later you called me telling me the garage did not have aa qualified person to do the diagnostics. Why the hell did you make me pay for what they could not do? How did they become your approved garage, whats your selection criteria for approved vendors?
You inconvenienced me a lot. Spending the whole week with my car, charging me extra and not doing the job.

Would not use anyone else, reasonable on price from the comfort of being at home. Excellent mechanic, great advice and tips on motoring, friendly efficient service, would never usually write reviews but really impressed with this service AA offer.

Was told it would be a morning appointment so took the morning off work, however he turned up 2:45pm.

No prior warning was given.

I paid for a diagnostics off the AA and the garage charged me for diagnostics as well. Couldn’t get my vehicle out of there quick enough

Online booking did not include MOT plus service - only service. Big delays in communication with AA Smart Care. Studied disinterest when I did eventually manage to speak with a real person. Exaggerated costs for repairs. Disappointed as an AA member for decades.

Job not completed. Scheduled for Friday July 3rd. Sixteen emails later and several phone calls…..The job has still not been completed. It was only an oil and filter change! Update July 25th. Called AA Thurs 23rd July. 27 minutes delay whilst investigations took place. Another visit planned for August 4th. Original visit was July 3rd. Absolutely terrible customer service. I’d have had more success if I’d called Alcoholics Anonymous!

Clear prompt and precise communication throughout accessing the service.
The Garage team was courteous, efficient and prompt and dealt with the entire service and MOT request very well.
Price was reasonable, definitely cheaper than requesting it privately.

After claiming that the “AA Approved” garage was capable of replacing our broken alternator, the car was unfit to drive when picked up after two weeks; dashboard lit up with uncleared warnings.

The agreed price had already grown from £1600 to £2200, but now needed a £200 battery, £300 of investigation, and yet another week in the garage.

Three weeks without the car; having to speak to both AA and garage throughout, just to find out what was happening.

We will not use AA Smartcare ever again

*wildly optimistic (almost dishonest) time and cost estimates from AA system, possibly to encourage booking
*poor communication
*poor cost control
*poor quality of work

The guy did amazing job

I was booked in for a service which could not be done because apparently it should not have been booked due to mechanic availability. It was confirmed and I received a reminder. I also waited a whole morning for no one to arrive. Rather disappointed.
