My sitter Nav was a lifesaver. I have a sudden serious illness and she just knew how to slot into place with my 3 children who all have additional needs. In my opinion, she's overqualified.

Everything on the app worked perfectly. We found two great sitters in London. Being from out of town it was nice to know sitters did the work to background check everyone.

Randomly started charging us £14.95 quarter about 18 months ago. Been +6 years since we used them, once.
Really not cool, plus feels kinda like a bit of a breach of PCI DSS standards and GDPR.
Money recovered via credit card dispute.

It is not easy to find job placements…
I tried this app, hoping I could increase my income. It is not easy to find babysitting jobs here. I have struggled over the last two months as I cannot manage my own job applications. What I mean is, nannies cannot decide to what job they apply looking at all the possibilities in their area or close by, instead, the jobs are sent to her by their algorithm and then she picks, this can be frustrating as it makes you wait for the "right" match, if your availability is very specific and limited it is hard. Also, jobs that are sent to new users are usually late night jobs, for example 6pm to 12am, and not close by...and in my case it will never be possible to do them due to personal cirscumstances. So again, very frustrating.

Used to be brilliant, now only average
I have used Sitters for about 6 years. All the sitters have been fantastic and up until the last year I always had my bookings filled. BUT.......this past year has been disappointing with several non- filled booking requests and just today, a last minute cancellation. The new App should have a function to advertise an increased rate to get the booking filled - if you want to do this, you need to email them.

Membership status is nonsensical before registering a card
Logged in to my account without providing card details (= no card registered with the service). Checking Membership status: Active since Feb 2025 ... How can it be active if I have not booked a single time and have not even registered a card with the service? What if I make 1st booking in May'25 - are [you going to charge for membership starting from Feb'25 on the basis that is was active in Feb'25? The present logic of the app is ambiguous on the financial side even before booking.
Taking this along with multiple complains about malfunctioning app, I'm in doubt it makes sense to move forward with booking.

When your account shows as 'active,' it’s ready to go whenever you need us—especially handy for emergency childcare when you need to place a booking quickly. Plus, as mentioned above, your membership won’t begin until after your first completed booking.
We have a friendly and dedicated customer service team ready to assist with any concerns you may have, we’d be happy to talk them through and put your mind at ease. The best way to reach us is via email at enquiries@sitters.co.uk or through our live chat in the Help Centre.
The sitter have all been great
The sitter have all been great, punctual and trustworthy. My only gripe is that everything, including payment, now has to be done through the app.
