Very easy to use website

How on earth do l ever delete my account with Childcare.com?
I’ve been trying to stop emails for them for weeks. Please help me Childcare?. I do not want any work from you and l’m getting far too many emails!!!

I’m really surprised that, from your response, you think l am deliberately trying to leave you a false review and that you are accusing me of lying! That is quite an accusation. The fact is that l find Childcare.com a very unsatisfactory way for a teacher to find jobs because, unlike other platforms, you charge the teacher. As you know, l put a bad Review for Childcare.com several weeks ago because l paid £10 to respond to a specific enquiry and that person never contacted me again. I then looked at reviews and, prompted by Childcare’s spiteful and unprofessional tone to another reviewer, l was promoted to leave a review about my bad experience. Because you immediately agreed to refund the £10 l had paid l deleted that bad review. (Which shows my good faith because l did not have to do that!) But since you are again being spiteful, l repeat that this is not a good platform for teachers to advertise on. I have been trying, without success, to delete my account since l left that review! That is about 5 weeks ago. I keep being sent the same job offer which l am not interested in, and l’m absolutely fed up with it.

Your implication that l chose to leave a false review is defamatory to my reputation as a teacher and l ask that you withdraw that accusation or l may consider taking legal action. I am a 62 year old graduate of King’s College, having passed the threshold qualifications for teachers and l have a diploma in special educational needs. I do not, and have never, left a false review. I am, however, infuriated, by how difficult l have found it to get off your platform!

In response to what you have just written.

1. I did NOT imply that you asked me to remove my initial bad Review (which you can confirm l left in February 2026).
I did not remove this review because l had made any false claims. I removed the bad review because, since you had had the decency to refund the £9.99, l felt that the decent response to that gesture was to remove the bad review.

2. Had you, in response to this cry of frustration from a 62 year old teacher, just politely stated that you had deleted my account for me, l would no doubt have also deleted this second bad review.

3. Your unprofessional response has made this far worse. When l stated that l paid £9.99 to get the specific details of an enquiry for Maths tuition in Harrow, l meant that FROM MY POINT OF VIEW this is what l did! Yes, that meant l had one week to go on your platform, but to me that was not the point because l was only really interested in that one enquiry (though l did reach out to other people in that week because, very frustratingly, that person never got back to me.) That is when l realised that Childcare.com is not a good platform for teachers to advertise on and l stand by that judgement.
Whilst l have the time, and l’m tempted, to take this to this directors of your company, l don’t want to be childish, but your team (leaving these emotional responses to bad reviews) need urgent training in how to act in a professional manner.
I don’t intend to respond any further but this whole thread will leave both parents and teachers wondering whether they really want to get involved with Childcare.com

Excellent and very informative

Jo is an outstanding childminder. She has looked after our 2 year old at short notice with so much care and thoughtfulness. Jo consistently went above and beyond from the very beginning to make our son feel at home, happy and safe with her at her home. Jo also made us feel very confident that our son was being well looked after and supporting his development. Jo was an excellent communicator with ourselves about how our son was doing on a daily basis and quick to let us know if there were any issues or concerns. Jo puts in an incredible amount of effort into activities for the children to make it personal and engaging for them. It is clear at the end of the day how much son our son has enjoyed his time with Jo. He is always smiling at the end of the day and is talking about her on his way home. We are so grateful that we were lucky enough to have Jo care for our son at such short notice when we were in need of childcare.

I feel so grateful to have found a childminder like Sara. Even though my daughter was only with her for two months, the care, warmth, and dedication Sara showed made such a difference.

At four years old, she quickly settled into Sara’s setting and felt safe, happy, and encouraged. In that short time, I could see her confidence grow, and it was clear how much Sara invests in each child’s development and wellbeing.

Sara also brought me great peace of mind as a parent, she was flexible, supportive, and made us feel like part of her extended family.

Sam has been looking after my 20-month-old daughter for around 8 to 9 months, and she’s been absolutely fantastic. They’ve built a wonderful bond — my little one even learnt to say her name!

Sam always greets us warmly each morning for handover and gives me a detailed update at the end of the day. I really appreciate the regular updates and photos throughout the day showing the different activities they do together.

Communication with Sam has been brilliant — she’s always quick to respond to any questions I have. Her home is super clean, well equipped, and a lovely environment for children.

I’m genuinely sad to be moving away because the connection between Sam and my daughter has been so special. I honestly wish I could take her with us!

Overall, Sam has been amazing, and I’d highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and engaging childminder. 😊

I pointed her to set herself up on this site shortly after having been put in touch with her by a former keyworker at Mead Preschool whom we approached for holiday babysitting/nannying support recently. I did this having had good experience in the past in sourcing a childminder when we lived near Wimbledon area a few year sago.
