Amazing Customer Service and support!
True scam
True scam for small businesses. They said we have to call before getting any treatment even if referred by my physician and was "approved" by Sana because you can go anywhere but they only pay for specific physicians or treatments. When I asked if I would need to call if I got in a car accident before receiving any treatment, they said yes.

They sell people on no network and how…
They sell people on no network and how amazing that is. The truth is that it's a nightmare. You have to get it set up at every provider and over half of mine won't accept it. So I have to pay out of pocket and submit for reimbursement. It's an absolute joke. TERRIBLE.
Not A Real Business. Total Scam
Won't provide you with your best coverage. They provide no info to doctors on preauthorization checks. I went to the exact place Sana is supposed to cover me 100% and they aren't reimbursing me because I didn't call before hand. They don't have an office, they aren't a business. They have people working from home that just say anything to get you off the phone. They lie about their claims process just to get you off the phone. This is a complete and total scam. Mind you it's also not much cheaper than real insurance companies.
renewal of Sana benefits
July 2024 was my 2nd renewal of Sana Benefits. It is just myself and my husband. The rate increases through this time have been unbelievable.
7/1/22-6/30/23 $5000 ded. Premium $720.73
7/1/23-6/30/24 $5000 Ded. Premium $773.26 renewal increased my rate by $52. 53 (7.2%)
7/1/24-6/30/25 $5000 Ded. Premium $1099.87
renewal increased my rate by $366.61 (47.4%) from last year which is $379.14 (52.6%) from the first year.
I was not able to stay with the same deductible because of this. Instead, I had to increase my deductible to $7500
7/1/24-6/30/25 I had to increase my Ded. to $7500 and my premium to $900.33, which increased my deductible by $2500 and my premium by $127.07 (16.4%) even with the additional $2500 deductible.
So overall not happy with that rate of increase.

It is nice to feel as though you are getting something out of your insurance you pay for monthly with all of the services included in your plan that you do not have to pay extra for. As a mom with two young kids, I am very impressed with Blueberry Pediatrics.

We’ve been with Sana Benefits for going…
We’ve been with Sana Benefits for going on 3 years now. They are the only reason I was able to offer benefits to my team with ease. The platform, the team, the explanation of services and benefits makes giving healthcare as a business owner a breeze.
Difficult and lengthy to get setbup
We like the plan, but getting set up was more difficult because we were flooded with emails with “direct contacts”/senior managers/sales directors - but they never returned phone calls. Our broker (Matthew Sage, who does not work for Sana) was the only live person we could reach other than the general customer service number.
Once we were signed up and paid (months later- we began this process in October of 23), we had a great zoom meeting with DeAngela, and she was amazing at helping us understand everything.
The automated systems etc will be great- but there is nothing that replaces a live human calling you back when numerous messages/requests are made for a live person. Text/chat systems do not replace a live phone call.
Many of the issues and hiccups we had getting started could have been mitigated if our sales contact had simply picked up the phone and called back to answer 2-5 minutes of our questions.

I don’t understand how a company can…
I don’t understand how a company can pride themselves on being for small business and increase more on the customer. Maybe a little less on marketing as that cost a tremendous amount when we already know what you have to offer. Endless spending on the wrong category to not help save funds for health care.
Sana forced me off my established meds
Sana has forced me off a drug that I have been established on since Dec 2017, onto a cheaper version that I am not tolerating well, and gives me no options to address the situation. Their response is nothing short of "tough, get over it, there is nothing you can do about it - we have the power over you, not vice versa." I have THREE meds available to me that I can take for my condition. Or, I can have a liver transplant. How's that for 'options?'
