A review from someone who actually did the research
What most people fail to realize is that Sana Benefits is a broker for additional health plans (featured on the front of your insurance card) , and the largest benefit they offer is the availability of their additional care partners. I am entering my second year with Sana and have no complaints. My prescriptions are handled, my healthcare equipment is handled, the free weight loss consulting and mental health services are excellent as well. I truly believe most of the negative reviews here are from people who don't understand the services they have available to them.
Absolutely the worst insurance…
Absolutely the worst insurance experience. They cover no one in my area and say they will work with providers and do NOT. They pay nothing on claims and then say my responsibility is zero which is not the case. I am stuck with hundreds of dollars in bills and my employer is paying way too much for this lack of care.

Absolutely frustrating insurance…
Absolutely frustrating insurance company and unfortunately we're stuck with them. Had a deal worked out with pediatrician and then Sana changed something and now our pediatrician won't work with them. We're able to do self-pay and get reimbursed. However we're told it could take up to 60 days.... Jokes on us it took 70 plus another week to process so 80 days in total. Problem is 2 days later we have another appointment that the money will be going right back out. Asked for compensation was told no we don't do that. So they don't have any consequences or reason to pay out on time. Now our only option is to change pediatrician but the process is also incredibly annoying having to wait for them to work out a deal and we may not even like the pediatrician.

If I could submit a 0 I would in a heartbeat!! Sana is the WORST insurance company by far! I called ALL 153 doctors in my area. Majority of doctors are pediatrics. The remaining mostly were retired, no longer accepted, or was not licensed to prescribe my ADD medication. I’d bet my bottom dollar that when I find the Goldilocks doctor it still would not change my experience. TERRIBLE!!

If I could do a 0 I would! It wasn't bad enough they jerked us around the whole year we had them for our group health insurance, now they're jerking me around making me wait for the 1095B/1095C (for the 4 months we had them last year). Last year I was able to have the 'raw data' (I refuse to pay them to do them so I do them myself) the beginning of January. Now this time they claim they can't send it to me until the beginning of Feb!! I like to have them done and given to the employees when they file their income taxes. Guess that won't happen this year.

The worst insurance company I've ever had by far.
If you get this insurance they will expect you to work for them like an unpaid employee. They will refuse to pay for things and force you to jump through hoops in an attempt to get you to give up and pay for it yourself. They will change the goal posts, they will hide behind meaningless jargon. The worst insurance company I've ever had by far.
