I was very dispointed with the quality…
I was very dispointed with the quality and the way it had been stacked on the delivery palet. The soil and very thin and poor quailty. The bottom rolls and side rolld were all damaged so take a long time to patch the holes. I contacted their customer service and a Mrs Sarah Milburn stated that they had have bad weather so it seems they send out the turf in what very condition it is. I will buy turf locally next time
Waiting for Refund after non delivery
My order for a bag of topsoil did not turn up on the day stated. Customer services phoned to say sorry bag was left in Birmingham. I said I needed that day so it was agreed order could be cancelled. 22 days later and numerous phone calls I am still waiting for refund. Shocking service! Rolawn get your act together and give me my money back! UPDATE: finally received my refund after yet more phone calls. It took 30 days to receive credit!
Avoid
Paid the extra £10 for delivery before 1pm. Now 4:17pm and still waiting. Last time I tried to call gave up after almost an hour of waiting for somebody to pick up... going to be fun trying to get my money back. Heed the warnings on here (I wish I had).

I ordered a bulk bag of topsoil. A day or so before delivery, Rolawn phoned me to say they couldn’t deliver to my property due to ‘logistics / access issues’ (note, I have had similar deliveries before and since from other companies with no problems at all).
Having cancelled my delivery, they advised me they would immediately refund. Guess what, weeks later, no sign of my money back.
No replies to emails, no one answering phones! So I messaged them through PayPal, again no response.
Eventually I raised a PayPal claim. Rolawn seem to have not even replied to PayPal as I have received a refund from PP instead.
I wish I had fully read the reviews for this company. I will never use them again.

Completely disgusted with this company . Wasted hours on numerous occasions waiting for a promised delivery of top soil . Then to be told 2 days later they had a signature from me and item was delivered . I quoted him on his lies about the so called tracking they had on there vehicles .He then went quiet trying to think of another lie he would try and fob me off with. BE PREPARED FOR LOTS OF LIES , NON DELIVERY OF GOODS .

I ordered direct rather than through a local stockist. So far only half the soil has been delivered (a day late) and six days later I am still waiting to find out when the rest will arrive.
Each day I have had to phone them for an update and requested a call back. So far I have had no contact.
They are blaming the delivery company / Covid but this does not explain why they are not calling back.
Terrible service
I paid extra for an AM delivery on Friday to topdress a lawn for a customer. I chased the delivery Friday pm , took ten minutes for someone to answer and was told someone would call back , never did , called again and waited another ten minutes to be told that it had been left off the lorry because of a mix up and it wouldn’t be arriving at all . No one called to say it would not be arriving, I sat around waiting for a non existent delivery which they knew was not going to arrive . I was offered a refund which I accepted and bought the topdressing from a garden centre to complete the work for the customer. He has just called me to say that the soil has been left blocking his driveway today , Monday, three days late even after the delivery was cancelled. He is so cross and so am I , terrible service. It’s in a one tonne bag and I have no means of moving it and I’m sure it will be a mission now for them to remove it . 😡

Absolutely wowed by the quality of the soil 2 stones in the entire bag! no junk or rubbish. Shoveled every barrow load myself and raked it out. Use No Dig garden method so have bought all manner of compost and soil. And this order was by far the best.

Well I guess I should have read the reviews first. I'd say my experience to date mirrors those below - no product, no communication and little urgency in trying to resolve anything when I call them (once they get round to answering the phone). Surprised they still have a business if this is the norm in terms of service.

Ordered large bag of top soil for a project, no confirmation email, but they took the money! no update on delivery, had to call and email 8 times for one reply, told it would be delivered on 1st April, cancelled other work to receive it, never showed, now the 6th no soil, no email, no one answering the phone, STAY CLEAR of this company, am considering legal action to recover costs

22/03/2021 Hello, I’m a landscaper in Barnstaple, Devon. I called today and spoke to one of your customer service team and informed them of problem with the turf on two lawns that I installed late last year. The lawns have both been cared for correctly and not cut too short, but the grass has gone brown and very patchy.It looks like it could be diseased?! I have purchased a lot of turf from you through Travis Perkins in the past and haven’t had this problem before. It seems very strange that they were laid at similar times

Many thanks for coming back to us with the additional information. Unfortunately, we are still at a bit of a loss as to why the lawn has deteriorated, so I hope you don’t mind answering another couple of quick questions?
The lawn was first mown when it was around 5 inches in length – when was this? And was this before or after an issue was noticed?
Before / 4 weeks approximately
What did the previous lawn look like/why was it replaced?
Grass good replaced Due to having the garden landscaped
Was any mould or discolouration noticed before the lawn started to die off? No
Have any grubs (Leatherjackets or Chafer Grubs) been seen in the soil?
No
And I had no issues with the previous lawn, so I feel the issue is with the new turf supplied by Rolawn
I’m sorry to have to ask for more information but this is very much a process of elimination at this stage.
31/03/2021 After looking at feedback re Rowland online I think I need a price to replace the Lawn I do not hold out much hope re any assistants except a lot of hot air talk is cheap it doesn’t replace diseased Turf. I would want it supplied from another turf supplier

02/04/2021As you thought Rolawn wouldn’t except liability for the dead turf.To take up the old stuff and lay new from another company, you would be looking at around £300 + vat but like I said, I’m so busy, I will struggle to get there this year! I’m guessing you want it done before then.

Why do you use plastic mesh inside the turf? I wasn't aware that my 6 year old lawn contained plastic until I tried edging it, otherwise there is no way that I'd have bought it back then.
People have had lawns for hundreds of years, with no plastic mesh inside, until rolawn decide to put profits above the environment.
I'm astounded that this is considered perfectly fine by both yourselves and the suppliers that use it.
Even if it does one day degrade this still means microplastics entering the sub soil and eventually the water.
Am lost for words really..

Ordered bark for delivery on named day between 8 am and 6 pm. No sign of order by 4.45 pm so called customer service - took an age to get through, even though was number 1 in the call queue. Assured order would be with me within the next hour. Order never arrived.

Further to my previous review and their reply can I please state that this Company did not do everything to help and support me as a customer but wiped their hands of the problems I have had with their turf. More so, all the information and images were provided on numerous exchanges of email and telephone calls and the final letter I received stated all shortages and defects must be reported within 3 days of supply and they couldn’t accept liability for it’s condition !!! So come on guys tell the truth when replying to reviews !!!
Dreadful customer service
Bark mulch is good but agree with many others on here customers service is shocking. 1st order came 4 weeks late despite changing. Second order did not arrive on date agreed despite them having delivered before. You phone their customer service dept who promised to call back but obviously didn't and you are met with rudeness beyond belief. No empathy from the woman who answers the phone, All she says is we deliver hundreds over the UK each day and you musty be unlucky. Currently they have a 200 per cent failure rate with me on delivery and customer service. Wait for the excuse to follow this review.

Ordered bark for landscaping. This was a pallet delivery which turned up on the day requested. The delivery driver was friendly and accommodating. The product was good, no issues at all and as expected.

I was worried once I read all the reviews as I didn’t look first. I’m a landscaper of 17 years and Rolawn have always been the creme de la creme when it comes to turf. So seeing all these bad reviews had me worried. I payed for a 8am till 1pm drop it came at 1pm! Not exactly great. The turf itself has the odd rip or hole but it’s to be expected with any size order. 1 rip and 1 hole to be precise. So pretty happy. Always buy an extra roll or two for this reason. Instantly from looking at it I could see it was thick and healthy with no meadow grass and with a lovely colour. Same thickness and cut and really nice mix of rye and fescue. A quality lawn that I am very happy with. Thank you

MEDALLION IS RUBBISH
I agreed for Coventry Turf supplies to fit me a new front lawn, at their recommendation it was fitted late last year using medallion turf ,however this turf had been a disaster and has never really grown well, its got areas where the turf has just died off in large patches all over ,this is despite me watering it regularly ,have to say i am now really embarrased by the state of it and will replace it next spring ,have to say i believed all the hype but next time will use proper turf ,really annoyed at Cov Turf recommending it to me .

Top Soil
The online ordering process was easy, However the issues started when the product arrived.
There was too many stones, clay lumps, large debris well over the so called screed recommendations.
I found twigs, peaces of plastic, china, hard plastics, worst of all Glass, yes Glass peaces.
I removed bucket loads of debris...
The whole area is Contaminated...
I have tried to scrap if and remove, days later I am still finding glass segments..
The top soil supplied is certainly Not fit for purpose.
I am in a Nightmare situation of trying to eradicate the contamination caused.
