Excellent service from beginning phone…
Excellent service from beginning phone call to final collection. Becky was as helpful as she coukd be and Mr Rix introduced himself. Coffee provided. Wine presented. Small but very professional dealers and only a small step away from the brand dealerships. Would recommend them unreservedly.

BMW E70 X5SE.
I purchased a BMW X5, E70 , so an older model, from Rix Motor co. Trading as HR Sports and Classics.
Ignoring the slighly surreal scenarion when on our initial telephone conversation the salesperson attempted to sell me a £13000 car with only five months MOT on it, offering a full 12 Month ticket only if is was a 'Deal Breaker' (I indicated that it was), I made an appointment to view the car.
The vehicle was well presented, with exceptionally low mileage for its age and was the exact spec which I'd been looking for for some time. In spite if the price being significantly 'over book', I purchased it.
As is borne out by multiple reviews here and elsewhere, pre- sale service was very good. (Although you might reconsider your choice of complimentary wine).
However there were a few niggles after my cash hit their bank. As soon as payment was made they informed me of a BMW recall on the vehicle (having done my Due Dilligence on the vehicle I knew this but the sales-person clearly didn't think it was worth mentioning prior to that point).
They had booked the car into their local dealership and there was an expectation that I would complete two further four hour round trips to Warrington to have the recall work done there. I declined and had the work done at Stratstone BMW Chesterfield with a complimentary courtesy car and valet both included.
I had to chase Rix to submit the change of ownership with DVLA which took over two weeks after purchase, although there was a smattering of Bank Holidays in there.
Most significantly, within a mere 3 weeks of purchase a pre-existing oil seep had developed, resulting in an accrid smell of burnt oil entering the cabin. I had a quote for the rectifying work from my local BMW specialist for £300 all in, which Rix Motor Co Trading as HR Sports and Classics flatly refused to meet or even offer to meet me half way on a 'Goodwill' basis.
From experience with my own business, if a customer had spent £13000 with my I would have been very focused on reaching a resolution with them over a £300 repair for a fault developing within such a short time of purchase, on the basis that retaining an existing customer is way easier and less expensive than putting effort into acquiring a new one to replace them.
Nevertheless this does rienforce a thread running through a siginificant proportion of revues, notably that once the money's changed hands, then that customer 'focus' becomes somewhat less intense.
Am I pleased with the car? Yes..will I be going back there when my Wife's car needs changing in the Spring? Highly unlikely.

Extremely disappointing experience
Extremely disappointing experience. Since we purchased a car in May 2025, the car has been back in the garage 5 times in 6 months, and each time we've been left without a vehicle for up to two weeks or more.
We have been without a car for almost 4 weeks over the Christmas period, with no courtesy car offered, or any update whatsoever on the cars progress.
Customer service has been poor throughout, with no communication without constant chasing. There’s no consideration by Rix for the disruption caused by this faulty vehicle and the danger of driving a faulty vehicle on the road.
I have lost all confidence in this dealership and would not recommend them.

I found myself in a difficult situation,at 71years old I needed to purchase a car quickly.
