My experienc with Phonix Life
I have been receiving my monthly endowment paymnts for many years. If I had a qustion regarding my policy, the response from Phoenix Life has always been dealt with quickly and very professionally.

It was good that you contacted me to finally get the ball rolling regarding my pension plan. It would be great to get everything finalised.
Appalling service!
The worst service experience I have ever encountered! Inexcusable delays, errors, staff incompetence and poor communication across all departments Customer facing staff were always courteous but totally inefficient. The senior management of the company should be ashamed of running such a shambolic organisation.
What went right over 15 months
What went right over 15 months. Still have not had a Full Detailed Break Down of how you came to your decision. A simple this is how much you owe us in over payment and this is how much we owe you now would have been good. Also how much I will be getting each month before and after tax. My case has been handled very poorly and I have been without this payment every month and as I am retired can ill afford it over 15 months. I still believe the mistake lies with your office. When I received that policy as a part of my inheritance it was not 50% it was the whole amount was mine. A new policy in my name should have been written up at that time as it was no longer Mr Tootells. You gave the payments to Mr Tootell on his retirement but it was not his to have. The court awarded me the policy in full. On my retirement It should have been paid to me as I have always paid the installments although it should have been Mr Tootell. However he got into money problems so therefore I took it on. Feel very aggrieved at the way this has been handled. Hands up when you make a mistake and boy did you make a big one yet your still not admitting to it. The policy should have been changed all those years ago.

My policy could not be linked with the app. One week later I am still waiting for the promised call back to resolve the issue. I would rate the company 0 stars but they achieve one on the basis they actually answered the phone to supposedly deal with my query.

My policy cash in request is taking ages to complete. Correspondence often takes weeks. Much more use of E Mail could speed the whole process ups

Have had a few issues over the years through lack of understanding me , and a few frustrating times where I have been so stressed down to some of your team not being able to process instructions quickly enough for me , I have been with phoenix a long time and can only hope they can achieve better gaols in keeping there customers happy, Helen

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WHATSOEVER
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WHATSOEVER. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have been dealing with them 5 months to get my deceased mum’s pension paid out. They constantly push back everything. Saying we haven’t sent enough documents, taking weeks to look at documents sent, they even sent our personal proof of identification documents to a complete WRONG ADDRESS. I am now worried for my safety as a random address has my documents which they could use for fraud! And guess what Phoenix life will just ‘add it to the complaint’! Not one member of staff cares in that company. Sam Johnson a manager can’t even get in contact with the “back office” to process the payment despite sending every single bit of information they have required over the past 5 months. I have emailed the CEO twice, with no resolution. I fully believe all the 5 stars reviews on this are FAKE, and they pay people to leave good reviews so the company doesn’t look that bad but DO NOT believe it. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. DO NOT TRUST THEM. They are purposely withholding our deceased mums pension from us as her beneficiaries and I have no choice but to take legal action now.

No one was able to deal with my questions. The person taking the call appeared to have no knowledge of what my policy terms meant. They were unable to refer me to anyone who could . I had waited 30 minutes for the call to be answered and the call handler ( Cathy) suggested I call back. When I asked for someone to call me I was told the call would be made in the next 5 working days. This is the latest in a long list of failures by phoenix life. I would not recommend them to anyone who wants good service.
