Can Phoenix Life be trusted with your Pension?
Phoenix Life out of respect owe me an explaination as to how and why they failed to switch funds requested more than 7 months ago and to this day still deny me this information. I have absolutely no confidence in them managing my pension!

everything explained to me perfect whilst on the phone. very experienced staff,who you could fully understand. received correspondence back within a few days. I would fully recommend phoenix life to anyone.
EMPLOY MORE STAFF - SPEED UP
After 5 mins going through security, then awaiting transfer to an Agent to deal with me, I am advised "all our Agents are busy, we will put you down for a Call -back within the next 1-5 days!!!".
This happened twice
Ridiculous, I cannot be glued to my desk for 5 days with all this Pension paperwork from which I wish to draw 25% and an Annuity, I have to go to work, shopping, dog walking etc
After 5 days I tried contact again and was given a VIP Customer Services telephone number. Success, went through all the security again with Agent who is emailing the drawdown forms in the next few days. That was 5 days ago - still waiting.
Suspect the few staff they have all Work From Home & Pheonix happily sitting on our capital!!

I contacted you regarding my brother's passing so I don't expect to get an email addressed to him asking how his experience was. Unacceptable and no consideration for the family.

Disaster Zone - avoid if possible
Terribly slow! Will not use email for correspondence [unless great pressure applied in telephone conversations], insisting on using Royal Mail - [5 - 7 days to deliver]. Any action requested has a 2 week response time and nearly always fully used. So expect 3 weeks between a request and a repsonse.
Requests frequently not actioned correctly e.g. request for overdue [and out of performance time] P60 forms given a previous 12 month financial summary - not the same as the tax year! Or, 6 out of 7 annuities created wrongly that took months and months to correct.
Achingly slow to buy my annuities - think around 2.25 years + refused to allow 7 savings plans to be used to buy a single annuity.
Disasterous. Avoid if possible!

Still waiting for a reply to my letter dated 18th June which stated that there was no justification forthe proposals you had nade. Most of the UK financial services have been, and still are, performing well. Your proposal of £6368 premium for a benifit of £108,174 , showing drop of over £ 71,000 benifit, is totally out of order and unreasonable. We have been custome of your for such a very long time, I cant be bothered to check , and I do feel that under all these circumstances, this current proposal is very much out of order.
I look forward to your prompt responce and hope that you will ammend your proposal to more logical, industry related, values.

Lack of professionalism
It takes a long time to receive information and call back assurance by a senior personnel at the call centre did not happen. Furthermore ,there is a lack of personnel with knowledge on policies placed under Trust.
