Having had a Dyson for sometime- and getting angry everytime I used it- I've finally swapped over..... it's like going from a bubble car (no offence to bubble cars!!!) to a Ferrari!!!!

I've now purchased a Henry for downstairs ! So Hetty lives upstairs and Henners lives downstairs, they share the same hose and flat hard wood tool, I've kept the new hose and tools in the box , I purchase the pro kit too so I am delighted with the airbrush and the hard wood tool, my house has never been so clean, I love their little faces , brightens my day on furlough! Thank you Numatic

years ago Numatic units used the 1200w lamb motor. These motors were almost indestructible and would give you years of service with the occasional brush change. Roll on to the 2020's and we have a 600w motor possible made by Amtek. Am getting more and more failed motors on these machines. its not uncommon to strip one to find the brushes have jammed in the holder because the motor has got too hot, I assume. to free them off you have to heat them with a hot air gun to melt whatever is jamming them then wipe off the liquid till it sets again. if its really bad it melts the motor casing pushing the brushes out of line and destroys the armature and hence the motor is scrap
I am scrapping more of these units than I ever have (3 this week) whereas if its the older units the most common faults are switches and flexes. Come on Numatic why ruin one of best little cleaners on the market by fitting a substandard motor

I just want to take this opportunity to thank 3 individuals at the Numatic team that helped me out of a very difficult situation with Argos. I had bought a hoover from Argos and wished to return it. Argos made this very difficult. Emily, Neil and Isabel were absolutely amazing. Sorry if i have spelled anyone's names wrong. Thank you Isabel for staying on the phone with me for over an hour so that i could deal with the terrible rude staff at Argos Chadwell Heath. You have no idea how much of difference you have made to my day today. I wish there was more ways to say thank you than this review, I genuinely do. You are an amazing individual and I want to ensure this review is seen by as many people as possible, I'll be posting it on my social media! Numatic, if you are reading this review, please take the time to recognize these 3 individuals, these are the kind of staff that bring success to any company. I wish them all the success and good fortune that life can bring.

Good Vacuum cleaner, no problem there. My issue is with the filter, which Numatic say is not to be washed, which means that every time you want a clean filter you have to spend £20 on a new one. I find that not to be customer friendly, and actually an unnecessary Numatic money making decision, and I therefore challenge Numatic to produce a filter that is several times washable. Its surely not rocket science!

Great hoover as far as suction and it’s ability to give the house a really thorough hoover! However, have the manufacturers ever thought about making one that you don’t need to be 6ft3 and over to use? I’m 5 foot and feel as though I’m wrestling with an Anaconda and losing! The hose is so long it knocks pictures of the walls! Some people would love to have a Henry that live in flats or smaller homes that don’t need a lead that can reach to the rest of the streets homes! I have almost sent myself through to next door trying to release the hose from the bottom attachment to hoover a small piece of fluff in a corner! Also! Perhaps good quality plastic hoses? Saves skirting boards and floors being scratched to pieces using the hose! All in all! I feel Hetty is trying to kill me and wreck the house!

I have a Henry Extra which I bought a decade ago and it’s still going strong - but as I struggle to carry it upstairs I got another one in 2015. The new ones are not the same - very flimsy in comparison. You can’t pull it around like the old one or the hose comes off, I bought spares and my last spare hose has broken now - not split like the last one, but the end bit that you need to attach different tubes/ accessories has come off. The new ones are nothing like the original, sorry to say.

I was looking forward to buying a Henry Allergy. Sadly I missed the offer of the free pro kit by a few days. I called customer services and asked it there was any flexibility as I really wanted to buy direct from them, this was met with a resounding no. I also asked if there was any discount or offer for me as I am a Staff Nurse in the NHS, again this was refused point blank. Although the operative was polite throughout it was like talking to an automaton reading off a script. No human warmth at all. Shame on Numatic for offering nothing at all to key workers like myself who have worked throughout the Covid crisis.

We used to have a Henry Extra, brilliant machine apart from not going around furniture or anything else - how can something round with a bumper get stuck on every corner or doorway?

Anyway, this finally died after long service and we made the mistake of buying a Henry 200. The most useless piece of junk in our house. We go throught the token gesture of running it over our floors and then go around again picking up everything it has missed. No suction whatsoever and still doesn't go around the corner! Never will I buy another.

Absolute shambles of customer service. Contacted customer service team regarding faulty Henry 160 within 2 years warranty. After 11 emails exchanged, I am still clueless about the repair as Isabelle wants Sainsbury to repair. I contacted Sainsbury's and after an hour of wait, they directed me to Henry for the warranty cover after one year. Provided pictures, proof of purchase - for a dud of a response!

If this is a proud UK brand, I am deeply disappointed. I have been a very happy loyal, happy customer with Dyson for over 15 years and this was my first Henry purchase. The faulty cleaner was barely used as it was a spare for the upstairs carpet only. What a wasted purchase, appalling customer service and cheaply made product!

The vacuum, a Henry Micro (a filtered, allergy proof vac with a 9 litre bag) was just what I needed to get rid of the dust in my home.

However, it arrived (from an online retailer) with a couple of small dents in the lid.

At first Numatic were a bit hesitant in offering a fast solution, but within very little time sent out a new vac, to arrive the next day by courier. This was prior to collecting the old vac, and done to make things easier for me during lockdown (very grateful for their efforts).

The quality control could be better; the lid of the replacement still had similar (but less noticeable) dents in it, but the vacuum performs very well -- worth it even without the advanced features of many other vacuum cleaners.

I purchased this after my Dyson doesn't really fit under the bed, or work well for my car. I paid £99 from Currys, and it's the best vacuum I've ever bought.

I was very impressed with just how quiet this machine is, and the suction is actually better than my Dyson. Sometimes it sucks that hard, the carpet tool sticks to the floor and can be hard to move, but you adjust the air inlet to fix this.

Henry does require a bag, but actually massively reduces the amount of dust in the air compared to the Dyson. I actually perfer using a bag as it's much easier to empty in one go. And at £1 a bag which lasts 3 months, it's hardly a deal breaker.

I highly recommend this vacuum if you want a clean house!

Numatic vacuums are easy to use and they are great for cleaning corridors. The vacuum is adaptable on stairs and their vacuum is great at removing dust and the quality of the suction and hoovering is very good.

Just bought a Henry after having Dyson for several years. Absolutely hate it , not easy to use at all, doesn't run smoothly across carpets, attachments hard to get off. Does pick up well but just find it so awkward to use.

Had my Henry for approx 30yrs..it only has lost its motor this week... over 40 its excellent cleaning ability..quirky great vacuum and really great value for money. Needless to say with such a great owner amd cleaning experience of numatic Henry ordered another without hesitation.

I have owned various Dyson hoovers over the last 15 years and the most recent one is on its last legs so I went in search of a new hoover but I didn't want to spend a massive amount of money like I have done previously as they just don't seem to last as long as they should. I also suffer with asthma and emptying a bin/ container is not ideal so I went in search of a bagged hoover instead. After spending days reading multiple reviews on the internet I decided to purchase a Henry and I have to say I am very glad that I did. Henry is a work horse there is just no stopping him, his suction power is outstanding and like nothing I had ever experienced before with any other type of hoover and I have used several over the years. I have a navy blue wool carpet on my stairs, I also have a long-haired cat. Previously getting hairs off the carpet on the stairs was extremely difficult and time-consuming. Henry lifted 100% of the hair without any effort whatsoever and it took no time at all! The carpet looks immaculate and brand new I am so impressed with He rys performance. Additionally Henry's hose is long and allows you to reach the top of the stairs. Henry also comes with multiple tools which are are just what you need for any type of job. Henry's suction is so powerful that I had to reduce it by opening the air inlet on the tube he lifts the carpet off the floor!! Outstanding performance
and an absolute bargain buy! I highly recommend Henry and you will not get better value for money than this. I paid over £300 for my last Dyson and Henry outperforms the Dyson by far. He also has a Hoover bag so when it's full it's I can just remove and throw it away rather than suffering inhalation of the dust which happens when I empty a bagless Hoover. I think we're disillusioned that bagless hoovers are better as they don't lose suction, I disagree now I've gone back to a bagged Henry. I'd never buy a bagless Hoover ever again. Henry is the best hoover for me.

Initially I bought a Dyson that had a 100% suction 100% of the time. I used the dyson to suck up some fine plaster dust after a bit of DIY! The Dyson lost 99% of its suction very rapidly. Emptying and cleaning the dust canister failed to restore suction. I then called out Dyson who sent an engineer who stripped my Dyson with a lot of specialist tools then informed my that I had sucked up the Wrong Kind of Dust. He then got a Henry out of the back of his van and cleaned my Dyson. I said wouldn't that damage your Henry in a slightly sarcastic way. I replaced the Dyson with a Henry very quickly after the dyson failed outside of warranty. My henry is now over 10 years old and still going strong plus you don't need a box of fancy tools if it should happen to get blocked.

Withheld a star because i've not had it long enough to comment on longevity or reliability...

I bought mine, for £80, to clean man stuff...plaster dust, sawdust, cement, sand etc. It works a treat thus far, way better than our precious £400 dyson, which sulks at first sign of aforementioned mess. To test em i tried the dyson first...after a minute i had to spend the next twenty cleaning filters and unblocking main pipe. All the sawdust had also wedged itself around cannister inlet so i had to scrape it out. Henry completed rest of job in 10 minutes without a hitch, still sucking like a newborn calf.

I felt i had to write this review to stop the makers of Henry vacuum cleaners robing the public.Do not buy a henry with a boost button this just another way of this company robing you ,let me explain when they added the so called boost button they had to incorporate a printed circuit for the two speeds to work so there is something else that can go wrong and does very quickly and will cost you£29 just for the board to be replaced and that is if you do the repair yourself .There was no need whatsoever for the makers to add this facility the only reason they don this was to generate extra revenue for something that was not needed NUMATIC IN MY OPINION ARE CHEATING THERE CUSTOMERS
