Hopeless customer service
Tried to source a small plastic bracket (that fixes the trigger spray part to the carpet cleaning nozzles on my George), which broke during normal use.
Numatic doesn't supply replacement parts and could only (after days waiting for a reply from their 'customer service' department...) point me to 3rd party parts suppliers who only offer complete trigger sprays at £50 + P&P.
I complained to Numatic's 'Customer Engagement Advisor', who gave me a series of classic 'computer says no' responses, then got bolshy when I remonstrated with her for her unhelpful and tone-deaf attitude.
All in all, several hours wasted trying unsuccessfully to source a simple, easily replaceable part and explain to a unresponsive Numatic that their replacement parts policy is absurd and counterproductive.
Delivery Time Massively Delayed
Extremely late delivery time. Website tells you “expected 1-3 days” delivery when ordered but you should expect anywhere from 5-10 days. Better just buy it from somewhere else as it will get delivered faster. Not happy about this..
No customer support.
I'm trying to get customer support from march 2023 (5 months already). Front line responds once a month and sends me to tech support. Tech support does not respond at all.
Never buy these products if you'd like to be supported.
Dead motor after 2.5 years and out of warranty
Great when its working but my Green Henry pet hoover has broken after just 2.5 years. It was a broken motor so not worth repairing once added labour and travel added to where Id need to take it.
It was outside of the 2 year warranty so they say nothing can be done not even a discount on a new purchase. Considering numatic say they are designed to last 25 years 2.5 lifespan is a little short!
Expensive hoover so would expect it to last much longer.
Wouldn't recommend
Henry quick
Henry quick , took me weeks to get through to return my Henry quick I don’t have the box . I boxed , yesterday courier wouldn’t accept it as when it wouldn’t go on the conveyor belt ! I get another box sends a photo to CS the sides ain’t strong enough ! Avoid this company useless
It is rubbish
It is rubbish. I am a 6 foot 1 person and I cannot use this hoover without getting a bad back after using it. Avoid this company and go with a cheap hoover that has a brush in it. This hoover WILL give you back problems in years to come if you continue using it. POS!
Highly incompetent delivery service
If you choose to use a notoriously and utterly incompetent delivery partner like DPD, expect your customers to be massively inconvenienced and disappointed.
I suggest people buy their Henry from a more customer-friendly outlet. DPD are shamefully hopeless and I blame Numatic. The least you could do is have the courtesy to respond to my email of complaint.
Update: hi Sharon - the order is under my name. Order number is 000645380. As I said above, my complaint email was never responded to. If you did, this would have already been dealt with. I won’t be returning to your store.

Brilliant service
Brilliant service - it is not often that customer service is as good as this. I was trying to get a 10 year old+ machine working and the service team and Ron in particular, couldn't have been more helpful in finding a solution.
Thank you
Henry - gold standard.
Henry - industry gold standard.
When i first saw these i was initially irritated by the "cutsie" face on them... not now.
These machines are powerful,
Simple to maintain, use and repair,
Spares are priced at a level that makes them repairable,
Genuine spares such as motors are only marginally dearer than pattern ones
Recyclable as there is demand for used spares
You see them used by everyone from builders to hairdressers.
Made in the UK - British engineering at its simple best
I'd stick to genuine spares as the pattern ones are often poor - the brushes on the cable rewind eventually fail, pattern ones I've seen lack "spring" and are too soft,
Pity the EU has reduced the wattage on them, but they're still good... keep your old Henry well maintained and he will probably outlive you.
These machines are "the one to buy", for my dollar no other vacuum comes close
Never have had good suction and just getting worse
Never liked henry Hoovers had lots of them the suction has always been crap and not very good dont see the rave about these products all hovers are crap and dont pick nothing up but these Henry's has always been the worst even a paint brush does a better job then any Hoover especially Henry's would never ever recommend these Henry's never been good suction like every other hoovers out there even big names hoovers are crap way way over priced wont be buying these hoovers ever again must have spend thousands on hoovers all of them are crap the problem is the suction
brilliant customer service 10/10
unfortunate and very rare defect with my henry, contacted customer support via email, they emailed me back promptly asking for a few details on the unit. when I didn't have the time to reply to the email they rang me without having to ask, to get the issue sorted. currently going through the process of getting my unit fixed now, seamless and easy. the best customer service I have ever received, I genuinely feel like a valued customer. 10/10 would recommend the company to anyone.
Ron Sutherland deserves a ten star…
Ron Sutherland deserves a ten star review! My Henry Hound broke and I ordered a new part but, as my machine was discontinued, it didn't fit! Ron contacted me direct and solved the problem by sending me a part that would fit and fixed my Henry. He couldn't have done more. Thank you Ron ☺️
Abusive Company
I would highly recommend do NOT use this company at all. This company is deceitful, abusive & untrustworthy giving customers misguided & inaccurate information regarding there products. I’ve had a manager laughing/sniggering at me treating me like I’m sort of f***ing joke. Then they got there supervisor to cover up & lie about what they did. This is disgusting & absolutely appalling treating customers like this, especially those who are vulnerable & disabled. Some friends of mine did recommend Numatic but I’ve found the vacuum cleaners are not all hyped up to what they really are. If you want quality, I would pay a lot more for bagged cylinder vacuum. You will get much more polite customer service instead of rude, incompetent & arrogant staff.
No replacement on a 4 month old faulty cracked and split Airo brush
Sadly my Airo brush head which is only 4 months old is cracked and split. Fortunately I purchased my Henryxtra from Amazon.
On calling CS to ask what I should do to complain about this faulty brush, I was told that Numatic International Ltd would not replace the brush. But Amazon were happy to refund the cost of a replacement .
So the Henry’s Warranty is not worth the paper it’s written on . Shame on you Henry !
I just hope there will be no other problems .
Best hoover in the world, by miles
Best hoover in the world, have had all the fancy Dyson and Shark hoovers but nothing compares to the Henry. If you can live with a cord this is simply the best hoover ever, have one for the house, and have had one at my business for over 8 years, totally indestructible and totally reliable
You need to be fit for one of these...
I've wanted a Henry for years as it's British made & people rave about it but what a disappointment. I'm in my 70s & I simply can't push it despite ensuring the head is adjusted correctly for carpets & the suction level reduced. I get on a bit better with the Ecobrush (Ecobrush/Hairobrush/Airobrush is just confusing - what's the difference?) but it's too narrow to be practical, takes forever & hurts my back. I can't get the Ecobrush head to park in the slot provided on the back of the machine (it doesn't seem to fit?) & the hose has a will of its own so it's a pain to store. It's cumbersome more than heavy to carry. The all-pictorial instructions are difficult to work out.
There are two good points a) the build quality & suction are amazing & b) my husband has had one before & doesn't want to return it so he's offered to do the vacuuming from now on (hence 2 stars😁).
If you're elderly or unfit this is probably not the machine for you. I'm so sorry Numatic. I really wanted to like Henry but I don't.
The Henry vacuum cleaner 2/10
The Henry vacuum cleaner has got worse and now falls apart when using it. The tubes become so smooth they literally fall out of each other when vacuuming. Another problem is the brushes are shorter than they used to be so when using it on a vinyl floor it sticks to it with unbelievable suction.
Please Numatic so these problems out.
Sorry but not as good as my previous Henry from 2007
I bough my first Henry in 2007, and I loved everything about it. It was built like a tank, powerful, reliable, versatile and extremely serviceable. Spares are readily available. The operating radius is massive thanks to its long hose and cord, and the manual cord reel is actually much better than automatic spring-loaded reels. Sadly, I had to part with my old Henry in 2009 when my employer relocated from the UK. I'm back now and I need a new vacuum, so I went for, again, a Henry, this time it's a Henry HVR200-11. The product is basically the same size and shape and shares all the good stuff as my 2007 Henry but Numatic has cut some corners lately and the quality has suffered, as follows:
1. The cord is too stiff. The old cord used to be very pliable and didn't prefer any specific shape. The new one is so stiff that as soon as I lay it on the floor it springs back into a coil. When I twist it around it makes cracking noises like cheap cables do. Where it attaches to the plug, a common point of failure, the cable bends awkwardly and doesn't look like it will last long. Luckily the cable is easy to swap out but it's a hassle and an additional cost, when before it used to be a good cord out of the box.
2. The included floor tool is of lower quality. It's bigger but the plastic feels cheap and hollow, is entirely made from plastic, and the lever is awkward to toggle as it overhangs out the back, which causes the front of the floor tool to rise when the lever is pressed. The old one used to have a smaller footprint, felt much more solid and featured a steel plate on the underside to prevent wear. The levers were easer to use as instead of just having one it had two one on each side, and you just had to press one or the other depending on whether you were vacuuming tiles or carpet. Luckily better compatible 32 mm floor tools are available for not a lot of money from Amazon and AliExpress but, again, this adds to the cost.
3. The tubes used to be made of chrome-plated, now they are raw stainless steel. I prefer the old ones because they were more resistant to scratches, though they were perhaps a bit heavier. The new ones, look cheaper for two reasons, one, the angled tube has marks where the tube bending machine exerted pressure, and it's profile is not round but oval near the middle, and two, the ends of all three tubes are rough and sharp (you can literally cut your finger on them). These should have been sanded smooth at the factory. I used fine-grit sandpaper to smooth those out. The weird shape tubes are tolerable.
4. The new model features just an on/off switch, while the old model had two switches: an on/off one and another to toggle between full and half power. New regulations limit domestic vacuum cleaners power usage, and supposedly the new motor delivers the same amount of suction at approximately half the power, making the power selection switch redundant. However, there are situation where less power is needed, so the switch is missed. The place of the missing switch has now been taken by a pilot light that remains lit as long as the plug is connected to the mains, which I don't see the need for. If I wish to leave the vacuum plugged in for convenience, I don't need any lights to be on wasting any amount of electrical power no matter how small. The light was not put there for functional reasons but rather to cover the hole left by the missing switch. No biggie I guess, it'd probably grow on me.
5. Less powerful than a smaller bagless Rowenta vacuum I recently borrowed from my parents, presumably due to the 620 W motor in the Henry vs a 750 W motor in the Rowenta. I tested them side-by-side. There is no remedy for this unfortunately, besides accepting the lower suction.
6. Motor noise is similar to the other vacuums of similar power rating, but this one makes an unbearably loud high pitched 11,420 Hz noise. The noise comes from the plastic attachment at the free end of the hose. I am guessing this is down to bad luck and could be fixed by identifying the bit of plastic that whistles as air is forced past it or plugging the leak if that's what's causing the noise. If it's a leak it may be harder to fix if the leak is at the rotating seal.
7. This is only a nitpick but the new detachable smiley face on the front of the vacuum was unnecessary, and it will have increased not production costs but also the use of resources (one more pointless bit of plastic to pollute our planet). The old model was simpler, just one solid chunk of plastic with the face printed on it. Simpler is better. It's the product logo, why would they want people to be able to remove it?
I used to be a huge Henry evangelist, but I can no longer recommend this product due to the above problems. I'll be returning my unit and getting something else. Hope this helps someone.
WHERE ISMY MONEY?!
over 6 weeks past - no refund - called - emailed no response - horrible company

Suction too powerful
The suction on Harry hoover makes it very difficult to manoeuvre and it actually lifts my rugs and mats off the floor, even when using the different setting. I find I can only hoover them by standing on a corner and pushing brush in one direction!
Even when vacuuming room carpets I feel like I've done a workout at the gym and because you are having to bend so much, it's very uncomfortable to use
I'm pretty fit, but struggled with this hoover and it definitely would not be a good buy for an elderly person or anyone with joint or back problems
I'm very disappointed and regret buying it Thankfully I have another "stick" hoover
