SCAM…Chinese company pretending to be based in Melbourne. Boots not Australian sizes, cheap material, lasted 2 wears, company WILL NOT replace or refund for defective items…AVOID AT ALL COST….beware of them switching names and trading under new one

A deceitful operation. Pretending to be Melbourne-based and displaying false images of their products. Ordered a pair of trainers ($100) way too small (not true to size) extremely poor quality not worth even $10.
Tried to contact the site nothing!! Sent several emails for return or exchange finally received an email back only to be told I have to pay $30 with no address to sent to given and if not done soon exchange time will run out!!
Don't waste money on this dodgy business wish I had read reviews first..lesson learnt

Absolute scam. Business is located in China. Terribly made. Very cheap quality. Horrible customer service. Are refusing to refund me. Had to get my bank involved.

Misleading conduct by implying they are a Melbourne Company in using the name “Nuova-Melbourne”. They are based in China. I tried to cancel my order within minutes of ordering, repeating my request in several emails to the company. I was going overseas and needed the pants to wear overseas. As I believed the company was in Melbourne, I did not foresee a problem. No response from company. Then received an email on 22 June, ”Great News! Your order is on its way!” I was told it was now too late to cancel, but could get a refund if I wasn’t happy with the clothes. Then I got another email a week later saying the items were “now ready to be shipped”. Requested cancellation again, as less than a week until I left to travel overseas, items would not arrive in time and emphasised I did not want them anymore, No response. Pants arrived the morning I left. Pants advertised as being made from”premium cotton”, “soft with high breathability all day.” I opened my order. The pants were horrible and the label said they were made of polyester and spandex. Disgusting. I emailed again, requesting a full refund with payment for shipping paid by them. They responded by saying they had a “delightful offer, to pique my interest even more!” The delight was the offer of a 10% refund and a rambling exegesis on how this would benefit the environment, and surely I don’t want to damage the planet? I said it was their company impacting the environment with their rubbish clothes, and again requested a full refund and complimentary postage. Radio silence. No response. Nothing. Scam. Fraud. Deceptive. Stay away.

Appalling! The boots I ordered were advertised as suede, the ain’t. They are the wrong colour and are crappily made. A complete waste of money. DO NOT PART WITH YOUR MONEY!! 🤬

I couldn’t agree more with all the earlier reports. The jacket was way too small. They offered a replacement for 14$ shipment costs but I wasn’t impressed by the quality either. Thus I insisted on a return and refund of my 79$. It turned out the only option is to send it back to China on the customers expense. A quick check came back with 80-90$ shipping costs. So there is no point to go down that path.
On top of that they come up with ecological considerations to ship from a single warehouse. All most likely not true.
I should have red the reviews earlier. Those bloody Facebook adds lured me in and I decided to give it a shot.

Please don’t fall into the trap of buying rubbish from these guys. The products are nothing like the description on their website. They are made of cheap, plastic landfill and are unwearable. Their marketing is misleading. They are not a Melbourne based company and their products come from China. I wish I had have read these reviews before I ordered. I am reporting them to the ACCC as they should not be trading. Please do not waste your money.

Have just read through all the comments below. Totally agree. Got a full refund finally, instantly, when I elevated the complaint to Pay Pal. This is the second time I have been caught by them, but they were trading under a different name. Beware beware beware!

SCAM - They do not honour their money back guarantee. I bought shoes that are too small (not true to size). They want me to keep the shoes and then offer a small token credit! Why would I want to keep shoes that do not fit!!!

Update - This is a scam - they do not honour their money back guarantee. Boots do not fit, are NOT leather and I highly doubt they are orthopaedic!

I wish I had read these reviews before spending a small fortune on this rubbish. I agree with everything already said. Has anyone been successful in obtaining a refund? Despite marketing themselves as a Melbourne company and lying that their "discounts" were as a consequence of closing their Melbourne store, they are buried deep in some Chinese black hole and require returns to be sent there (at a cost of $60 shipping). They then go on to demand the sender commit an illegal act by declaring the returned goods to be valued no more than $5 (for them to avoid import duty) otherwise they will destroy the products and not provide a refund.

If I could give zero stars I would, they are a rip off, hiding behind quality products on their website, only to send out cheap made in Asia rubbish. Save your money and buy from someone reputable and a brand you know. These people are scammers and should not be operating in Australia as a company from the Netherlands when clearly they are China based.

I purchased shirts & a jacket from here. Not Australian, it’s just Chinese rubbish. Sizing was not what was stated on the website & it was expensive for the rubbish I received. Stitching, materials way below Australian standard. There was meant to be wool products however the shirts were images taken & printed on elastic material - simply gross! They kept offering me % off instead of a refund & wouldn’t send details through but once they did they told me I had missed the 14day return but I also had to lie & say the goods were no more than $5 otherwise the products would be destroyed & no refund processed - pure scammers! AVOID AVOID AVOID

The product is nothing like the pictures. Cheap and nasty. I tried to cancel after my purchase, but they said it had already been processed, and to return them once I received them. But they don't want to refund you and try everything to avoid it. Avoid this company at all costs - they are Chinese not Australian!!!!

Don't buy from this company. They are a scam - posing as a Melbourne based company but in fact located in China and the goods displayed on their website are cheap Chinese knock-offs. I ordered a pair of so-called leather Orthopaedic boots and couldn't believe the poor quality and badly made condition of what arrived. Entering into a lengthy and frustrating email debate with them to return the goods and get a refund, which is promised on their site, proved useless. Fortunately I paid through Paypal and have been able to get Paypal to resolve the dispute in my favour.

Avoid this company at all costs. Cheap Chinese made rubbish not resembling either the photo or description on the website. They make returns almost impossible allegedly a Melbourne based company that expects customers to pay return costs to China. Disgraceful scam.

Ordered a pair of boots from them, they are too small and very cheaply made. As soon as I received them I sent them an email saying they were too small and I wanted to return them on the 2md July. Today on the 23 July they replied saying that the 14 day return was up so I couldn't return them.
Another scam company that I thought was in Australia.

The company, 'Nuova Melbourne' - or are they Novo or Nouvo this week? - delivered the boots I ordered, however the size was too small. They state they have a 14 day return policy, with return postage at buyer's expense - fair enough, IF the product is going back to Melbourne. They are not. If an item is not right, it will be postage back to a warehouse in Asia, not Melbourne, a cost of 1/3 to 1/2 of the product price in my case. Instead of a refund - because they know the postage back is cost prohibitive - they offer a new pair for a $AUD 25 DONATION to cover postage; then a 10% discount, then 30% (woo hoo now only $60 of a product I can't wear!), and then a $60 gift card! That is NOT a returns policy! Nuova Melbourne are engaging in deceptive business practice by giving the impression they are based in Melbourne, and while I checked their return policy I didn't go that step further and look for a local address. I wouldn't have bought the boots from China direct, as I know the return shipping is horrendous. Their 'return policy' is a gamble in which I take all the risk - I was advised to claim the good are worth less than $AUD 5, otherwise Chinese customs may destroy the product and then I have no refund, no boots AND more money wasted. THAT IS NOT A RETURNS POLICY. It's obvious if someone is paying many times the alleged value in postage that the claim of value is fraudulent. Furthermore, they are advertising the boots for $99 and the same product is available from multiple Temu vendors for under $20! Shoddy business, deceptive practice. I filed a dispute with Paypal, but as I did receive the boots, they cannot help. I am awaiting a reply from my bank. These charlatans need to be stopped, or booted from payment platforms, they are ripping many people off.

An absolute scam! Ordered a pair of sneakers didn’t even come in a box for what was $290 down to $100. Can tell they are cheap knock offs.

To get a refund you have to go through about 30 back and forth emails!!

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.
