If possible I would give 0 stars. Confusing - just wrong from beginning to end. Never known such a mess, Barnet council had managed the permits very well so far.

I quite like the app as it shows a constant countdown of my remaining time on my phone screen. Also was able to use Apple Pay without going through endless account setting up shenanigans. Unfortuna... Se mere

Lazy, inept, ignorant service

Possibly the laziest, most inept service you could ask for.

Purchased several resident permits, as I have multiple times before, and MiPermit emailed advising that my application for a resident permit was declined however, they still took the money from me.

Emailed asking for an explanation and they took over 2 1/2 weeks to reply and completely ignored what I’d actually asked and sent an irrelevant message.

They have a Trustpilot score of 1.7 and that’s looking pretty generous.

Absolutely horrendous app

Absolutely horrendous app. It crashes, doesn't connect properly, doesn't allow to get into current parking. Not once I had full network or WiFi and it wasn't connecting properly and I had to call them to get the parking paid and the customer service lady made me feel guilty like it was my fault and not theirs. It's just so ridiculous that I feel uninstalling it and using cash or card to pay for my parking ... Horrible!!!

I'm a disabled person parked in a…

I'm a disabled person parked in a disabled bay. The machine 744052 did not issue a ticket to display. I therefore paid via app unfortunately I typed one letter incorrectly as my reg as I have cognitive issues. I realised Immediately called castle point council who referred me to MiPermit 28 minutes later it got answered- sorry tge only thing I can do is reduce your stay and you will pay again. I questioned then she put the phone down. Call 2 another 15 mins before answering same outcome but I've said I've paid. She said it's the Councils Policy I asked fir copy as nothing on the machine refers to councils policy or refers me to then again. I asked to speak to someone senior but the phone got put down again. I will be contacting the Chief Exec at Castle Point and the Disability Team as the treatment when it's easy to see an individual has paid its another way of getting money the council has a Duty of care and should relook at this contract they have put in place. I will be taking it further - I will not be bullied into paying for something I've already paid for.

have constant issues logging into app

have constant issues logging into app, although I have registered my mobile & emails, my login details are never accepted, have to enter my details & card number every time.
Unfortunately, this app is used in my local area, otherwise would not use it.
Have tried contacting Mipermit several times, no response

Do Not Trust Auto-Renewal

When applying for a resident's parking permit, I ticked the field to allow auto-renewal. The permit application was successful. However, when it came time for renewal, the MiPermit system failed to automatically renew my permit and I am now facing parking charges and fighting with Bristol City Council to refund me the money it cost me to reclaim my seized car. All because of a technical error with MiPermit. Terrible service.

I had paid but the systemFailed

I used the system directly to pay for parking at Telford and Wrekin for a days parking . I input all the details correctly including my card payment details but then got a screen that implied payment had been received and would appear on my bank statement . I took a screenshot shot of the screen for some unknown reason . When I returned to my car I had a parking permit that I wrote to mipermit showing them the screen shot . They said this was not proof of payment and said it was my responsibility to check that payment had gone through. Who goes and checks their online or rings their bank to make sure . I have offered to reprocess the £6 payment if the system failed to connect to my bank . They are implying it’s my fault however I am 100% adamant that I did everything right . I suppose I probably questioned why I didn’t receive a email however I didn’t really get to check my phone as I was doing jury service all day and didn’t have access to it . They are forcing me to pay the fine and all they mention about the regulations . Would like to here if anyone else has had the same issues where I think it is mipermit system that is at fault

No problem at all.

People give it bad reviews. Not sure why.
Once my account was set up. Just a few clicks and check the parking code matches the place I am. It's done. Simple.
The timer on the app tells me how much time I have.

App not working but phone service excellent.

App not working on arrival at regular car park, tried again without success. Pressed the "phone Mipermit" button and got a response within just a couple of minutes. Gave car park address and my car registration and had 2 hours parking completed for me immediately. Very, very impressed as I was recognised via the car reg and my details were immediately to hand. Excellent service.

Scam avoid

I used the car park at Canvey Island and when checking my credit card bill 2 days later found 4 x 49.99 fraudulent transactions. The bank are being good and very pro active. Unlike MI. I tried to let them know on their customer service app as I thought for security that their system had been security compromised but they were not in the least bit interested and sent back my comments.
So be warned when using this company and their car parks as they have been compromised and you face a possible scam.
Park elsewhere.

Avoid at all costs !!!

Paid the £1 to set up the app, next day I got a message from my bank about fraud on my account.
I had been charged 59.99 for a monthly fee to something called TNFbill. Luckily the bank had stopped the payment. Deleted the app and will never use it again.

Permits - rules for proof of address and vehicle

Just moved, trying to get a parking permit for almost a month (3 days until a full month). Keep uploading screenshots of my insurance and went on council website took a screenshot of the bill, just to get rejected.
Website says proof of address and proof of vehicle, and it allows me to upload screenshots, it allows me to pay for it and it blocks the money with a pre-authorisation, but the person that manually checks this are not interested in the slightest and reject your application.
Finally called them, they said insurance is OK as it is a PDF, but council tax is not OK, needs a PDF also. Why? it is exactly the same thing as the screenshot on the council website. Even their website mentions formats allowed jpg, png and pdf.
Now I have several pending transactions of hundreads of pounds which I am waiting to clear so I can use my money again.

Rarely works

The positive: When the app works, it is very straightforward. The negative: It very rarely works.
Errors abound, including flooding your mobile screen with dozens of pop-ups, unable to recognise car park, can't find tariffs. I only need this app for car parks in West Sussex, which is why I increasingly avoid the county. Hampshire uses Ringo, which is a much more reliable app.

Tried to take money without permission

I updated my credit card details and it said that they weren’t recognised. I then got a call from my credit card company saying that it had been declined and they’d tried to take money from my account. I didn’t agree to anything and now I’ve got to wait for a new credit card as it’s been frozen. I’ve deleted my details and the app,

Mipermit App has been hacked

There needs to be a zero star rating available for this company!!

Whilst trying to install the Mipermit app at Braintree Station car park, Essex, to pay for parking (as instructed on the board in the car park), after entering my card details, which were correct, an error message came up that my details were INCORRECT. As I didn't have time to waste on something that should have been quite simple (and, as I assumed at the time, quite convenient to have for the future), I gave up and used a debit card to pay for my parking.

Almost immediately afterwards I received a declined payment alert from my banking app to something called Blasttr.net, which was described as a toy shop. It was only for £3.59, but appears to have been a test purchase that was timed at exactly the same time as I was trying to install the Mipermit app!! The fraud officer at my bank said my attempted download of this app had actually redirected my card details to a completely unrelated website and whoever had nabbed my card details had tried to set up a regular payment from my bank account!!! 😡Thankfully my card was cancelled immediately and my bank account is secure.

Having since searched on the internet, it appears this is a known problem with the Mipermit app, as it has happened in other car parks around the country.

Mipermit, you need to resolve this issue and improve your online security and if you can't do either and keep customers' details secure, then you should just close the app down.

I will NEVER download a parking app again.

Fantastic Service!

Fantastic Service!
I recently needed help updating my car registration number plate on my MiPermit account, and I have to say the service was excellent. I spoke to Caroline, who was extremely helpful, professional, and patient throughout the process. She made sure everything was sorted quickly and smoothly, and her friendly attitude really made a difference.

Osborne Street car park Hull

Osborne Street car park - Hull. Machine not working (so I was told) and app wouldn't load, again. Left the car park, rang them 30 mins later to try and pay, they said I couldn't pay now as I'd left the car park! I asked them what I could do to pay for my stay, she said 'nothing'. I asked her why it was so difficult to resolve - she hung up. I now await a fine no doubt, nice work if you can get it.

Trully awful app

Trully awful app. Three issues today parking in Charlotte Street, Bath.

1. Needed the physical card to pay on the app. Why in this day and age can't you use Google/Apple pay or even select card details listed on your phone. A lot of people don't carry their physical cards any more!

2. Charlotte Street car park, Bath did now show up on the app as a nearby car park. One of the main Bath car parks!

3. I borrowed a friends card to pay for my session in the end but apparently had paid a a guest. When I wanted to extend the session it said I needed an account, which I then set up. It wouldn't then link my account to the active parking session so I couldn't extend and had to leave an engagement early.

It's like they are purposely trying to make parking as difficult as possible so you get fined. Please Bath Council, choose another parking app company to manage your parking.
