I live in the UK and having read positive reviews about Magna Hifi’s first class customer service I decided to email them seeking information about Holo Audio equipment.

I received a reply from Jos within a couple of hours and over the next week or so we exchanged numerous emails in which he patiently and painstakingly answered every conceivable question I could throw at him about the various setup options for the Holo Red to Holo May combination.

I made the decision to sell my existing Cambridge Audio streamer and Chord Dave Dac/Amp on a well-known online market and 2 weeks later I contacted Magna and purchased the Holo Red, May and Wireworld I2S cable (I own a usb cable).

Service and delivery from Magna in the Netherlands to receiving the equipment in the Uk was excellent. It took 2 and 4 days respectively (2 separate parcels) to arrive and that included being informed about, and paying, custom taxes and duties. Boxes and products arrived in pristine condition.

The equipment was set up (Red > May > HeadAmp GSX MkII amplifier > Focal Utopia) in a way that made cable swapping accessible so that I could experiment with all the different options available in using the Holo Red.

After 2-3 weeks of burning in and experimenting I settled on a front end of Roon to HQ player (housed on a M4 Mini-Mac) and then a USB from Mini-Mac to Red and finally I2S to the Holo May which is run in NOS mode.

I have a lot of High Resolution PCM music files (both 44.1k based and 48k based) as well as numerous DSD files (up to 512) and so setting up HQ player was for me a steep learning curve but well worth the effort. I now have a system that offers me a hint of that warm analogue sound with the detail that makes listening to acoustic music so enjoyable.

I cannot thank Jos and Magna Hifi for all their patience, advise and above all for their sincerity in helping me get the system that is right for me. A wonderful company to liaise with from start to finish.

I ordered the eversolo T8 with ssd installed. The order was delivered within 3 days, what was quick sinds I ordered on Saturday evening in the seasons holliday after Christmas; Monday I got it.Perfect😀
The ssd was nicely installed and the packaging was in the box as proof. No hassle for me at no cost. Very nice service.
Everything works perfectly and after 1 week of continuous playing the sound is superb.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this company, if you look for good hifi equipment and a perfect customer experience 👌

The Magna Ultra 3.5 streamer with separate power supply has improved the sound of my system significantly.
Customer service was great with timely responses to questions.
Not impressed with Audirvana but maybe I just need to get more proficient in its use. I do not consider this to be a Magna issue. You might add a note for US customers like me who are not particularly worldly to make the Euro to Dollar conversion and that US tariffs apply. Both of which will affect the final price in $. Once again this not a Magna responsibility.

Truthfully, I wish they were in UK so I could call in and chat and purchase what they recommend! Superb service and products and customer service. As a lawyer, I advise clients every day; and paid for it! No fee however for this genuine advice!
