İrmet Hospital was established as Private Çerkezköy Hospital in 2003 with the principle of serving human health with respect and love. In 2014, it took the name "İrmet Hospital" with its distinguished physician staff, auxiliary health personnel, medical infrastructure and modern equipment and started to serve in its new location in Çerkezköy.
In our 18,000 m2 hospital with a total capacity of 200 beds, including 24 adult, 24 neonatal, 5 coronary and 5 cardiovascular intensive care units, there are 8 operating rooms where all kinds of surgeries can be performed and angio and cardiovascular surgery and nuclear medicine units that meet a great need in the region. We are one of the rare hospitals in the region with some special branches such as Neonatologist, Gastro Surgery Specialist, Nuclear Medicine Specialist.
In our hospital, which aims to provide service with a friendly and patient-oriented approach, the equipment of international companies that have proven themselves technologically are included. In addition to the fully equipped laboratory where all tests can be performed, our radiology unit has the capacity to meet all the needs of the region with state-of-the-art MRI, 128-slice tomography, digital X-rays, digital mammography, 4-dimensional ultrasounds.
In 2012, we started health tourism activities for the first time in our region and so far we have served thousands of foreign patients from all over the world. We have treated patients from 7 continents and 87 different countries. We pioneered other health institutions in our region to start health tourism activities. Bariatric Surgery
It is now known all over the world that Obesity Surgery is the most effective method for permanent weight loss and this is supported by many scientific articles. One of the most frequently asked questions in patients considering these surgeries; “How will I decide which method is right for me?”.
Patients who have undergone obesity surgery achieve a high rate of expected weight loss. However, it may be that they regain some weight over time. This situation occurs when they do not make the necessary lifestyle and diet changes within the first year after weight loss surgery. Unfortunately, if patients do not start working on lifestyle changes right away, this can negatively affect weight loss and weight maintenance.
Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy
The objective of the operation is to resect the fundus, the portion of the stomach that is the prime source of hunger hormones, as well as to decrease the functioning part of the stomach. Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is now an established stand-alone bariatric procedure worldwide.
Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
Gastric bypass, also called Roux-en-Y (roo-en-wy) gastric bypass, is a type of weight-loss surgery that involves creating a small pouch from the stomach and connecting the newly created pouch directly to the small intestine. After gastric bypass, swallowed food will go into this small pouch of stomach and then directly into the small intestine, thereby bypassing most of your stomach and the first section of your small intestine.Mini Gastric Bypass
The Mini-Gastric Bypass or single anastomosis gastric bypass, is an effective and well-established procedure which combines some of the properties of a gastric sleeve and a standard gastric bypass. The upper part of the stomach is divided into a tube, similar to the top three quarters of a sleeve, and then joined to a loop of intestine.
The Gastric Balloon
The Gastric Balloon is a medical grade, saline-filled gastric balloon that rests in the stomach cavity and decreases appetite by occupying approximately a third of the stomach volume. In addition, with the gastric balloon in place, the stomach empties more slowly, keeping you feeling full longer.Revisinional Bariatric Surgery
Intervention of complications in patients who have undergone Bariatric Surgery and/or the introduction of a different bariatric surgery after regaining weight in the following years is called revision surgery.
TRANSIT BIPARTISION
This surgical technique is much similar to the gastric sleeve operation, with the addition of the entire distal part of small bowel is brought to the lower stomach and a second exit is provided, therefore all the food can pass through the entire small bowel segments.AESTHETIC AND PLASTIC SURGERY
Deals with plastic surgery, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery (renovation surgery). Cosmetic surgery reshapes the normal body structures and develops the appearance of the individual and his perception of himself. Reconstructive surgery is applied on abnormal body structures that were formed in connection with the birth or those that have appeared afterwards, and its initial purpose is to recover the functions of the body structures that are affected as much as possible.
BODY ASTHETIC
When esthetic surgery is mentioned, facial area comes to mind immediately. However, medical esthetic operations and surgeries are performed on many other parts of the body. Body esthetics are carried out to eliminate shape disorders, to get rid of extra fat, to achieve a tight appearance on a certain body part, correct body contour with little intervention and many other purposes.
EXTENDED TUMMY TUCK SURGERY
Losing excess weight, Pregnancy, C-section, Aging process and Genetics can cause loose, sagging skin and overstretched abdominal muscles. However, these complaints can be eliminated by Abdominoplasty operation.
In the Extended Abdominoplasty Surgery, the incision is made as in the Standard Abdominoplasty surgery, but the lower abdominal incisions are slightly larger in the Extended Abdominoplasty surgery. Incisions will extend along the sides of the hips and most probably around the patient’s backside.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER SURGERY:
The results of a tummy tuck are best seen after 6 weeks when all the swelling has subsided. It can take over a year for the scars to fully heal.
Under the proper conditions, the results of an abdominoplasty surgery can last for many years. Exactly how long you maintain your abdominoplasty results depends on how well you take care of your body following surgery. Living a healthy and active lifestyle will prolong your tummy tuck benefits for at least a decade after your initial surgery and probably longer.
RECOVERY
Every patient will heal differently after and It depends of the type of tummy tuck procedure that was performed. You will be given a course of painkillers and antibiotics to take following surgery and you will need to wear your surgical garment for 6 weeks following your procedure to help aid any fluid retention and support you whilst you heal. You should avoid lifting anything that could make you strain for 6 weeks which includes children, heavy bags and vacuum cleaners for example.Patients can look to return to work after 2-3 weeks, however this will depend on their job role, and should wait 6-8 weeks before returning to exercise.

5 Stars Experience at Irmet Hospital
Top class experience at Irmet hospital from start to finish.
First, you don't need to worry how to get there as driver (WiFi available in car) is arranged to get you to and from hospital (he even accompanied me up to check-in)
Next the Hospital is simply amazing, from clean, modern premises (felt almost like in hotel) to staff (nurses, cleaners, translator) always polite and welcoming and available 24/7.
I was accompanied by my husband who stayed with me in a room and was served with meals 3 times a day.
Last but not least the fantastic surgeon Dr. Fatih Sumer who performed gastric sleeve surgery without any complications and visited me twice a day to check on me and explained everything in detail.
I have received full report in the end along with meds and instructions for follow up.
So I hope the after care will also happen like discussed.
Special thanks to Benji (translator) for assistance whenever needed and Jensen (nurse) always friendly and kind.

Would have been totally lost without Benji I never had this the first time I went and as you can imagine communication is vital and If I needed anything or advice I would wait for Benji to pop in and say hello every morning !! He even accompanied me to the local hairdressers and supermarket , think this is an amazing service !
I had the best experience here, the staff and nurses the doctors are all great the rooms are clean and they help you in any way. The care I received here was fantastic.would highly recommend this hospital and Dr Kadhir!

Irmet was outstanding...
This was my second visit to Irmet hospital. 1st visit was in nov 2021 and i had a mini gastric bypass. After losing 9st i decided to go back Irmet for an extended tummy tuck, lipo and arm lift. Just like my 1st visit the care was excellent, all the staff were amazing. The nurses go out of the way to make sure you are comfortable, the cleaners, dinner ladies literally everyone that works there is fantastic. I had Dr Kadir Cicek for my surgeries and he was fabulous i am so impressed by his amazing work and how neat his work is. Alina was my coordinator and helped me throughout the process. She is such a lovely young lady. Benji who is translator/patient liason was also brilliant he was so very helpful with anything we needed. Honestly down to the drivers who pick you up right through the whole staff i couldn't hasn't asked for more. Hopefully i will see irmet in 2024 for a breast uplift and bra line surgery...

Amazing place
From the moment I contacted them to the very end to go home everything was perfect.
Alina was my Coordinator and was very helpful and answered back very quickly. Arrived at the air port and was greated with a cold bottle of water and a WiFi password to let family know we had arrived safe.
About 45 mins to the hospital then it was all go.
Had a quick shower, then it was off for scans bloods taken.
The following day we meet the translator Benji explained what would be happening and came back with Dr Kadir he then spent time going through everything and drawing over body for what was needed. When I came around from surgery they had me eating and walking. This hospital cannot do enough for you. They are so through in what they do and everyone is so nice and welcoming.

From the very 1st contact everything…
From the very 1st contact everything has been very smooth, we we’re collected from the airport given in car Wi-Fi and water.
Arrived at the hospital taken to our ward and introduced to the nurses.
At this point the team are very efficient and sweep you off your feet for a myriad of tests, including ECG blood tests, ultrasound chest, x-ray lung function test you name it. The test is carried out way and above the care that you would receive back in the UK.
Once everything has been cleared and you’re good for your operation, the next day we were taken down for operations, I myself had breast uplift implants, liposuction, and abdominoplasty.
My husband had gastric sleeve. We were both put in the same room which was immaculately clean cleaners came twice a day. We were both given our operation on the same day. I was required to stay one day longer than my husband however, he was allowed to stay as a companion.
Dr kidar came and checked on my wounds every day, as did my husband surgeon on his wounds.
My operation required me to have drains in place and as such, I actually required two extra days within the hospital. These were given free of charge as Dr Kidar wanted to ensure the best possible recovery for myself.
I have never received such wonderful care by such wonderful people. Everybody from the coordinator to the nurses to the translators are absolutely fabulous. Nobody can do enough for you I will definitely be returning for anything that I require in the future.

From the moment I stepped of the plane…
From the moment I stepped of the plane to being greeted by the driver my whole experience has been amazing! This is my second time visiting irmet I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
I have just had plastic surgery with dr kadir Breast uplift with implants 360FDL what can I say other than this dr is a miracle such a perfectionist my scars are so neat. He came each day to check on me such a lovely man.
The after care of the nurses was absolutely fantastic the care is amazing nothing is ever any trouble. They are so caring took me for my hair washed to make me feel better such a nice touch.
The pre op tests before surgery are very good ultrasounds, X-rays ECG ECT.
You receive a full report of all your test down to each blood test you received during your stay when you are discharged.
We had two interpreters who was amazing Benji and Aliah they was present each day of my stay very very helpful and was always there if needed.
Cleaners and caterers always presents changing your beds cleaning your room several times a day.

Sleeved at Irmet
I started my journey back in June 2023 with an excessive amount of research for my gastric sleeve and my friends Tummy Tuck and 6 x liposuction. We wanted to book with Irmet as that is where my friend had had her sleeve in 2019 and had an amazing experience. We approached the same person from 2019 who was bookingsurgery.com and started the process only to find that they had parted ways with Irmet. This made me uneasy to say the least as I wanted to go where my friend had received previous 5 star care but I was hearing Irmets priorities had changed. So I contacted Irmet directly and I asked both coordinators from Irmet and Bookingsurgery the same question. I asked what's happened? The replies gave me the answer I needed to choose as Irmet were very professional and simply explained there had been a parting due to changes in priorities eg. Patient/Money. Booking replied with similar but added a lot of slurs against the hospital. I took a few weeks out to research more and think. I'd concluded myself that a hospital will always put patients before money and an agency will obviously be number driven fact. So I chose Irmet I still hadn't booked yet and wasn't pressured too either. I was added into patient social media groups where you could chat to recent patients and follow people's journey who were ahead of you. Both my friend and I both booked in July 2023 for September 2023. The booking process was easy and the deposit was even changed to accommodate my tiny credit card limit. The coordinator was on hand every day to answer my many varied questions and the patient group was fab. I was also still on bookingsurgery.com page and I noticed what I could only describe as a massive smear campaign against Irmet. Did it unnerve me again? Yes it definitely caused anxiety. It's not what you need stuck in the UK waiting for surgery abroad. I private messaged one particular man who'd just had his surgery at Irmet and he was so helpful and it calmed me right down. And when I sat back and thought about it the fact Irmet weren't retaliating to this campaign proved to me they were the right choice. So to the month of September and our arrival you are looked after from the moment you go through arrival gate 8 at IST. The hospital is immaculate and every day your visited by the head nurse to ask if you have any issues with your room or your care. Eg. I wanted a clip for my bed remote and within 10 minutes I got a whole new bed. Netflix went off our TV at 10pm and by 11pm an engineer had been up and fixed it. Both operations were seemless and the surgeons check on you twice a day every day of your stay. I had a pain in my bowel day 2 post op and within 20 minutes after telling the surgeon I was down having an ultrasound to find out it was only gas pain. Whoops!
I mean we wait days back home whilst in hospital and months as an outpatient. The staff are so nice I have never felt so heard and cared for before. It is truly a surreal experience.
Special thanks to Dr Faith Sumer for a seemless operation and great aftercare. What a lovely friendly gentleman.
The interpretors Benji and Alina work tirelessly to help everyone. We seen them everyday they went above and beyond their roles as interpretors and never flickered when we asked them to arrange extra things for us in the absence of the coordinators. Eg. Once we were mobile they arranged us an amazing pamper session at the aesthetic clinic on our hospital floor to a mini trip to buy a few things in the shopping centre and a salon visit on our last few days. Taken, arranged and brought back with no worries.
The care givers all the nurses are amazing when I say nothing is a bother I literally mean nothing whatsoever.
Special thanks too Canan for her gentle support on the first pre op days her calming nature is exactly what we needed. Esra and Helin for their warmth and friendliness and great care. Last but not least Johncel for the happy happy visits such a tonic and again amazing care giver. Anyone thinking of using Irmet but scared do it you will not regret it. The only downside is if I ever need to go into hospital at home its going to feel worse than normal after I've had the best.

I am so happy with my results and would definitely come back.
I came alone to have my mommy makeover. I was really worried about it all before I got here. When I got here, I was made to feel very comfortable. I looked into going to other places and still on some of the WhatsApp groups and some of what I have been reading I am pleased that I made the right choice to come to Irmet Hospital. The Plastic Surgeon is the best ever. My surgery was so neat. He came to see me every day to make sure I was okay. And Antonio who was my coordinator, answered all my questions, messages and phone calls which made me way more comfortable and put me ease than the other people that I talked to. I have read on the few WhatsApp groups that you end up pay more when you get to some hospitals. My price was what I was quoted every single time. Never paid any penny more. There was no extra and unexpected charges. Benji and Aliya, who were my Personal Procedure Assistants and Interpreters, were so good and I am gonna miss them. 😢 My room was as good as being in a hotel it was extremely clean. But I had the Nurses ,who couldn't do enough for you, 24/7. Thanks to all of the nurses. ❤️❤️❤️

Just been to irmet I’ve given it 5stars every thing from my first message to our co ordinator till we went home has been 1st class operation went great everyone from nurses to cleaners to interpreters were so welcoming the place is spotless Everyone one of the staff couldn’t do enough for us and always made sure we were comfortable and happy even took us shopping we were lifted and left at airport they carried our bags There is a quiet garden with private lift up and down which was Great felt like we were really special as they treated us like royalty and couldn’t do enough will Definitely be recommending Irmet hospital to everyone I know that is thinking on going to Turkey for treatment
