İrmet Hospital was established as Private Çerkezköy Hospital in 2003 with the principle of serving human health with respect and love. In 2014, it took the name "İrmet Hospital" with its distinguished physician staff, auxiliary health personnel, medical infrastructure and modern equipment and started to serve in its new location in Çerkezköy.

Bariatric Surgery
It is now known all over the world that Obesity Surgery is the most effective method for permanent weight loss and this is supported by many scientific articles. One of the most frequently asked questions in patients considering these surgeries; “How will I decide which method is right for me?”.
Patients who have undergone obesity surgery achieve a high rate of expected weight loss. However, it may be that they regain some weight over time. This situation occurs when they do not make the necessary lifestyle and diet changes within the first year after weight loss surgery. Unfortunately, if patients do not start working on lifestyle changes right away, this can negatively affect weight loss and weight maintenance.
Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy
The objective of the operation is to resect the fundus, the portion of the stomach that is the prime source of hunger hormones, as well as to decrease the functioning part of the stomach. Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy is now an established stand-alone bariatric procedure worldwide.
Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass
Gastric bypass, also called Roux-en-Y (roo-en-wy) gastric bypass, is a type of weight-loss surgery that involves creating a small pouch from the stomach and connecting the newly created pouch directly to the small intestine. After gastric bypass, swallowed food will go into this small pouch of stomach and then directly into the small intestine, thereby bypassing most of your stomach and the first section of your small intestine.Mini Gastric Bypass
The Mini-Gastric Bypass or single anastomosis gastric bypass, is an effective and well-established procedure which combines some of the properties of a gastric sleeve and a standard gastric bypass. The upper part of the stomach is divided into a tube, similar to the top three quarters of a sleeve, and then joined to a loop of intestine.
The Gastric Balloon
The Gastric Balloon is a medical grade, saline-filled gastric balloon that rests in the stomach cavity and decreases appetite by occupying approximately a third of the stomach volume. Intervention of complications in patients who have undergone Bariatric Surgery and/or the introduction of a different bariatric surgery after regaining weight in the following years is called revision surgery.
TRANSIT BIPARTISION
This surgical technique is much similar to the gastric sleeve operation, with the addition of the entire distal part of small bowel is brought to the lower stomach and a second exit is provided, therefore all the food can pass through the entire small bowel segments.AESTHETIC AND PLASTIC SURGERY

BODY ASTHETIC
When esthetic surgery is mentioned, facial area comes to mind immediately. However, medical esthetic operations and surgeries are performed on many other parts of the body. Body esthetics are carried out to eliminate shape disorders, to get rid of extra fat, to achieve a tight appearance on a certain body part, correct body contour with little intervention and many other purposes.
EXTENDED TUMMY TUCK SURGERY
Losing excess weight, Pregnancy, C-section, Aging process and Genetics can cause loose, sagging skin and overstretched abdominal muscles. However, these complaints can be eliminated by Abdominoplasty operation.
In the Extended Abdominoplasty Surgery, the incision is made as in the Standard Abdominoplasty surgery, but the lower abdominal incisions are slightly larger in the Extended Abdominoplasty surgery. Incisions will extend along the sides of the hips and most probably around the patient’s backside.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER SURGERY:
The results of a tummy tuck are best seen after 6 weeks when all the swelling has subsided. It can take over a year for the scars to fully heal.
Under the proper conditions, the results of an abdominoplasty surgery can last for many years. Exactly how long you maintain your abdominoplasty results depends on how well you take care of your body following surgery. Living a healthy and active lifestyle will prolong your tummy tuck benefits for at least a decade after your initial surgery and probably longer.
RECOVERY
Every patient will heal differently after and It depends of the type of tummy tuck procedure that was performed. You will be given a course of painkillers and antibiotics to take following surgery and you will need to wear your surgical garment for 6 weeks following your procedure to help aid any fluid retention and support you whilst you heal. You should avoid lifting anything that could make you strain for 6 weeks which includes children, heavy bags and vacuum cleaners for example.Patients can look to return to work after 2-3 weeks, however this will depend on their job role, and should wait 6-8 weeks before returning to exercise.

Transformation
I am a returning customer, i previously had a gastric sleeve and came back to have a breast implant and lift, i had liposuction and a tummy tuck and some Botox which my dr did, which i am very happy with, my teenage son had his ears pinned back, our whole visit for 9 days, I’ve had a very good experience and happy with the outcome. The hospital staff work very hard and nothing is too much trouble.. they were very accommodating with me and my sons needs.. I would recommend to anyone thinking about having surgery being abroad can be risky I really wouldn’t go anywhere else with the level of care I received., I would recommend bringing cash my only regret as you get charged with using your cards other then that all was a success glad I had the courage to go along and do it. Where to start… 🥹😍😁
From the moment I spoke to my amazing co-ordinator “Alina” about booking my surgery, she put me at complete ease. I felt reassured and all the information I required was passed to me via WhatsApp, with swift response each time. Which helped me make my decision and book a flight with my Dad as my companion, all the way from Bonny Scotland, within a week of speaking to Alina. ****IF YOU NEED THIS SURGERY DO NOT DELAY THINKING ABOUT IT FOR YEARS AS I DID. YOU HAVE THE VERY BEST AT THIS HOSPITAL… GO FOR IT TRUST ME!!!****
As soon as I arrived at Istanbul airport (IST) I was happily surprised how big and beautiful the airport was. We were then, met by our driver “Enes” who was smiley and very attentive with our bags and giving us water for the journey (which was just under an hour) as well as the transport WiFi password. We then arrived and were met with fantastic nurses, Enes took our luggage all the way up to our room and we were then introduced to my nurse for that evening who was “Ece”!! (Pronounced.. Edgey) This young nurse spoke lovely English and couldn’t do enough for me or my father. I actually looked the meaning of her name up and it means “QUEEN”. I swear this is so fitting for this amazing nurse. Taking bloods, checking my height and weight, then, ECG and giving me all the care I required from then on, was second to none. I had to buzz for her ALOT!! I don’t think I have ever had a hospital experience with a member of staff, where I felt completely taken care of, reassured, like I mattered and I’ve had two babies, via c-sections.
The following morning I was met by “Benji” the english interpreter and his team. The three of them were very good, kind and always came back to give me answers to any of my questions or my Dad’s. I was then, taken to different wards for various tests; Ultrasound and chest X-ray. A member of the psychiatric team spoke with me with the interpreters help. All my needs were met by them communicating to the nursing staff and doctors on my behalf, when required. I Can’t fault them, they went completely out their way to assist me, even if they did like my Dad more lol… they are invaluable to the team here at Irmet Hospital.
For my surgery I had a Gastric Sleeve. My consultant was a Dr Fatih Sümer. He came to greet me and was so smiley and lovely. He shook both mine and my father’s hands. I think I was a bit nervous at this point and he put me at ease. I had every faith in the operation and although the post op nausea is awful, he had assured me the proceedure all went well! In the coming days, I had around the clock care, blood pressure and pulse oximeter checks regularly, with body temperature. I had blood taken once per day and always greeted by Dr Sümer advising they were fine and normal. Which was reassuring. Head nurse in the department gave me all my post op drugs to take home as I fly out early tomorrow. He had Benji with him who translated all the post op advice care for medicines.
The ladies who brought the food for my Dad and my liquid diet lol were also very kind and even if they didn’t speak English she tried to understand you. The domestics who cleaned and changed the rooms were such lovely people also smiling and practically begging you to have your bed sheets changed! Cleaning the rooms twice a day. Fresh towels, toilet paper, soaps, bedding, changing bins and bringing extra water as well as sweeping and cleaning the floors. They really did not stop.
I met the dietician “Kate” who surprised me with her smiley and happy demeanour. She introduced herself post surgery and today gave me information I will need in order to succeed on my weigh loss journey. I was taken to her office today where my body mass, weight and fat content were put on the analysis machine. It was so interesting, I can see why she really looks like she enjoys her job. Kate then went through a very detailed diet plan for the next 6 months post op. I was a bit shocked as she’d printed these sheets of information out already and sat with me to then go through them in finer details. This was 5* star, as she could have just gave me the sheets and said read them goodbye… Finally, giving me her WhatsApp, to help with any questions I may have and a home pack of protein shakes etc.
I can only fault the day I paid for my proceedure to the accountant. They wouldn’t accept Scottish Pound Sterling!! It was a very small amount that I had still to pay as I had the rest from the Bank of England but nope they had me use my card whereby they were going to charge me an admin fee. I wasn’t told before I arrived that they wouldn’t accept any Bank of Scotland notes but my coordinator sorted that in the end. If you’re Scottish remember they don’t like our Legal Tender!! lol!

Full gastric bypass with Dr Sumer at Irmet, July 2023.
Highly impressed by the whole experience. Alina Winter was my liaison, very responsive really helpful, a great person. The staff at the hospital were absolutely lovely and Dr Sumer is just a fantastic surgeon. He went out of his way to check on me throughout my stay and did a brilliant job.
I felt in really good hands at every stage. I chatted to various patients post-surgery at Irmet and everyone seemed to feel the same way.
It's now Feb 2024 and I have lost 110lbs since I began my prep for the trip and 96lbs since surgery. I am out of the T2 diametic range and my BP is now within normal limits - in total I take 7 pills less per day and feel fantastic. It's given me control.
I go to the gym 2 or 3 times a week, use a personal trainer and my strength has improved beyond recognition. Before surgery 200 meters was hard work. In June I'm going on a walking holiday.
This has not only changed by life, but given me my life back. Would I go back to Irmet for plastic surgery or other procedures? You bet I would. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner.
Dr Sumer is one of the very best in his field out there and a really great person. If you go to Irmet you get him and that is worth the price of admission alone. 10/10.

Avoid at all costs!
I had a thigh lift / lipo in December, whilst there I expressed my drains were not functioning properly. I was ignored and still sent home.
Within days of returning to the UK I was admitted due to infection and Ecoli in my wound (found from faeces). Several rounds of anti biotics later, the infection hadn’t cleared. despite telling the co-ordinaters, they ignored me for 9 days.
I had massive lumps of fluid build up which was told ‘ will go down’. They didn’t. They had to be drained as developed into sepsis/ blood poisoning, at this point Irmet was offering me to fly to turkey despite it being unsafe and being seriously unwell.
I was lied to by Matt being promised a partial refund due to the costs occurred. He went quiet and told me to deal with his manager Ozan. He fed me lies for 2 weeks then told me no. I expressed how unhappy I was, then I was blocked of their Facebook page, support groups, everything. I would avoid Irmet at all costs. They do not care about patients. They want your money then disown you.

When you informed that you were having discomfort after you went back home, we were concerned and raised the matter with our medical team. We answered your queries promptly each time and kept regular correspondence to follow up. We also asked for your medical reports and exams about your current condition and offered you to come back and get examined and be operated if needed, free of charge. You have not provided reports and/or scans, you informed that you could not work for a number of days due to complications and asked compensation for loss of income.
In your comment it is implied that you were sent home early before you were fit to leave, got infected with E-Coli at our hospital, and we did not care about your wellbeing after the operation. That is unfair to say the least.
Firstly, we are one of the few (if not the only) hospital in Turkey, that keeps the patients at the hospital until they are fit to fly. The usual practice is sending the patients to hotels after a few days. In fact most of our patients think they stay longer than needed as other hospitals send patients to hotels to open place for new patients. Our priority is the health of our patients and we insist that they stay at the hospital in clinical environment to reduce the risks of complications.
Secondly, as you also know that e.coli can be passed due to a number of ways. To be sure on our end, we have browsed our records as we get samples every day from our patients and none of the blood samples including yours were e.coli infected. Neither you nor any other patient at that period got infected at the hospital. No one (other than you) reported infection with e.coli after leaving the hospital. Therefore, you were not infected at our hospital.
Finally, we have been following you, giving feedback and offering further help if in case your discomfort needs a further treatment or operation free of charge, all to be covered by us. You chose not to come here or send any medical reports or scans for us to assess further but instead asked compensation due to an infection that cannot be caught from our hospital.
We are sorry to hear that you feel like you did not have the best of experience we hoped to serve you. We are here at your service to help with your medical needs and wellbeing; however, we still find it unjust to be accused of something we were not responsible for and asked compensation with the threat to defame us.

4th Visit to Irmet
Since Oct 21 I have been to the hospital for 3 different procedures and now booked for my 4th! I used the hospital whilst it was working with the agency and since they stopped working with the agency and in my opinion the compassion and care is there. In 2021 the experience was outstanding. By my 2nd visit in 2022 the hospital name grew, the agency business grew and it had became a bit of a money maker then and it appeared the agency was quick to get you out the door as with the agency they was keen to get patients in and out, so much so they hired a floor out in a hotel and started to put patients in there. On this occasion I seen staff over worked, surgeons exhausted and the ward and theatre became a cattle marker I was less impressed on this visit. However I heard agency and hospital had parted so I took a gamble to go back to the hospital (inside I worried was it the agency I should have gone with or the hospital) but I can honestly say I made the right decision as the care and compassion was there, they recommended a longer stay than ever b4 recommended and the surgeon is amazing. 6mths later and if I want a video call with my surgeon it's arranged by the lovely coordinator Matt White, I got taken to the hairdressers in town and collected, airport pick up and drop off and checked in all taken care of. Irmet have changed my life for the better. Let's hope my 4th visit is just as good this year x

It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Irmet hospital staff, when we arrived to the airport a friendly driver picked us up and took us to hospital where we where greeted by the members of staff and thru the full duration of my stay it was so good, never had such a good experience in hospital before. Some good, some not so good
Pre and op services were great.
Operative services were great, as they took into consideration pre-existing health issues.
My best experience, post-op, was with the dietician, Kate. She was quite responsive and adapted her suggestions and answers to suit my reality and items I had available in my locality.
The primary issue I have with the post-op services is that clear responses are not given by the doctors and the assigned coordinator on the test results that are done every 3 months. It makes one wonder why the test results are being sent in the 1st place, if you can't get useful insight on the results.

I’m writing my review from the other…
I’m writing my review from the other side of the operating table. I’ve recently returned from Turkey and the Irmet hospital following my husband’s gastric bypass.
We were collected from the airport by our driver who was professional to the end. He wouldn’t allow us to carry our cases and insisted that we used the step to get in and out of the luxury minibus we were collected in. Little touches like a bottle of water and internet access were a great help after a long flight and to be able to reassure loved ones we had landed safely.
Once at the hospital the driver continued to ensure we were supported right up to our room leaving us in the very capable and caring hands of the nursing staff that ensured I was fed while they prepped my husband for surgery the following day.
The day of surgery we were both talked through every single detail. Every test possible was carried out to ensure that my husband was fit and healthy enough for surgery, which was a real reassurance. Matt my husband’s coordinator talked us through each and every test, and it was quite strange to jump the queue to see each medical professional.
After surgery he was seen regularly, treated with care and respect.
The care there on in was excellent, from the surgeon who visited daily sometimes twice, to the caring and attentive nurses right through to the cleaning and catering staff each and everyone of them provided a class A service, I’ve got to admit I felt like Royalty.
We spent time out in the garden area enjoying the sun, in November!! It was a great mood booster to be able to spoken to others about their surgery, tips an experienced of the hospital, weight struggled and as a result we’ve made some lovely friends.
My husbands surgery has been a lifestyle change for me too and I’m really hoping in the coming weeks months and years our health improves and we’re able to enjoy our life’s again to the full.
Irmet and the team have changed not just my husbands life and health, but also that of mine and our children. We both have a new lease of life we are both looking forward to a healthy pain free future.
If you’re unsure, if you have any questions use the WhatsApp link ask the question and be assured that your questions will be answered and you’ll be reassured that everything will go to plan and you’ll be well looked after. It’s only been a few weeks since our visit but we’re already reaping the benefits. 10kgs in 17 days is awesome. He’s to the future

The best experience I could ever have had
After struggling with weight loss for years and years, I saw my self not knowing what else I could do to change my life and lose the weight that was decreasing my self esteem day after day. It was when I started looking for the gastric procedures available but I was still not sure whether I was going to put my self through it or not.
It was when I got in contact with 2 people who had their gastric bypass at Irmet Hospital and they started encouraging me to contact the coordinator. So I did and I met lovely Alina who helped me to go through the process and to decide which procedure would be the most suitable for me ( if it wasn't for her kindness, professionalism and patience I wouldn't have come all the way to Turkey for the surgery)
From the driver who picks us up at the hospital to the cleaning ladies everybody makes sure u are very welcomed and comfortable.
The nurses are essential to the process because they are with us day and night, always with a smile in their faces and never never diminishing our pain and needs.
My personal coordinator (Benji) had perfect English and he was with me for the whole 7 days translating, explaining me things and making sure I had all my needs met.
Dr.Fatih Sumer was AMAZING since the beginning, coming to me everyday to check on me, to explain the procedure and to make sure I was progressing accordingly.
I have to point out that after surgery I had pain in my lungs and once I told the doctor he did not hesitated and sent me to have ultrasound, x-ray and an MRI. thankfully it was just tired lungs and I have to do breathing exercises which has improved a lot the pain.
So, I would highly recommend Irmet Hospital to anyone who is thinking of getting a Gastric surgery. I couldn't have asked more and i am very happy and Pleased with everything.

I have been to Irmet a couple of times…
I have been to Irmet a couple of times now, The hospital is amazing, very clean and wonderful staff, coordinators super Benji & Anthony especially.
I trust this hospital, (although another hospital we’re pretending to be them ) booking surgery ( DO NOT TRUST this company) pretending to be Irmet, taking booking and ending up at another hospital.
Thankfully Irmet hospital found out, ( Booking Surgery not too be trusted )
I went to Irmet this time to have reconstruction surgery at no charge at all to myself by AMAZING Dr Kadir, what a genius this man is.
( my previous surgery was done by another Dr) who thankfully now works for Booking Surgery (definitely not a hospital to trust)
Dr Kadir went above and beyond to correct my previous surgery, nothing was too much trouble.
Thankyou Irmet .. you are wonderful 🤩🤩
