This was my second time here at Irmet and again I couldn't say a bad word about it, from start to finish they make you feel calm and welcome.
Dr Kadir was my surgeon and he honestly is the best, hes a perfectionist in his work and has done exactly as I asked. The care i received after my surgery is exceptional, the nurses are there to tend to your every need, with pain relief, checking you and your observations regularly. The coordinators and translators are constantly coming in and checking youre ok, and that your stay is going well and making sure there's nothing you need.. they leave no stone unturned in your care.

I would recommend this place to anybody thinking about surgery.

I honestly cannot speak highly enough of my experience at Irmet Hospital.
I travelled from the UK to Turkey for my surgery and, understandably, I was extremely nervous beforehand. Having surgery abroad is a huge decision, and I had plenty of worries before I arrived. From the moment I arrived, however, I felt reassured and looked after.
The level of care I received throughout my stay was incredible. I was in hospital for several days after my surgery and was monitored constantly. The nurses were attentive, kind and patient, and I never felt like I was being left to manage things on my own. Even when I was uncomfortable or worried, there was always someone there to help.
I was particularly impressed with how thorough the medical team were. I had blood tests, ultrasounds and Doppler scans during my recovery, and I felt that they took my concerns seriously and checked everything properly rather than simply assuming everything was fine.
The hospital itself was clean and the staff were professional, friendly and compassionate. There is naturally a language difference when having treatment abroad, but this was never a problem for me. There was always someone available to interpret if needed. During the day there were multiple interpreters around, and there was also always a nurse who spoke very good English alongside nurses whose English may not have been as strong. Everyone made an effort to communicate with me and make sure I understood what was happening.
Having spent so much time worrying about whether I had made the right decision choosing surgery abroad, I can honestly say that I have no regrets about choosing Irmet Hospital.
A huge thank you to all of the nurses, doctors, medical staff, interpreters and everyone behind the scenes who looked after me during what was a very important and vulnerable time in my life.
I travelled to Turkey for surgery, but I came away feeling that I was genuinely cared for as a person, not just as a patient.
I arrived as a nervous patient from the UK, and I left feeling genuinely looked after. I will always be grateful for that. ❤️🇹🇷

I had a biatric sleeve and i recommend the hospital.

From start to finish my experience was outstanding, the staff, surgery, where so professional, I will be recommending your hospital to all my friends , the one that stood out from all the rest was Tuna he had fantastic bed manners, any problems I could turn to him ,he was so professional at his job ,it was just like home from home ,I can't thank you all so much ,watch this space I will be back !!! X

From the moment I made contact with Irmet, I can honestly say my experience has been totally professional. They have answered all my questions rapidly and with detailed response, with no language barriers.. Unfortunately for me the morning of my procedure it wascancelled due to my platelet level which was thoroughly checked 3 times... My translator that morning was Tuna who became my saving grace, his sensitive patient care was incredible, as I then became my sisters companion during the duration. I actually ended up getting my teeth composite bonding, which boosted my moral, Tuna is an asset to Irmet. The teamwork within Irmet is outstanding from all the departments. I can't wait to return to complete my orginal procedure.

I give 2 stars purely because the hospital nurses were exceptional and don’t want this review to reflect them.

My surgery was over a year ago (start of 2025) I had an ‘extended’ tummy tuck and breast lift and implants. I wasn’t able to choose my surgeon I was given one and asked to send my pictures in. I sent in my pictures and was told I would need an extended tummy tuck after loosing close to 10 stone for context.

When I arrivied to the hospital the nurses were lovely I was told to sign forms and my surgery would be in the morning. I was told I needed to fast until then. Come the next day my surgery was not in the morning and didn’t end up being till late afternoon. I chased my coordinator and asked for an update as by this point I’d not eaten for 36 hours and had concerns my surgery would not be going ahead. 10 minutes later they come and wheel me out and told me the Dr had done a lady previous to me, swapping our slots.

Surgery happened and I was brought back. I was on my period and they did not replace my pad they removed and I woke up in a pool of my own period blood. The nurses helped when they realised but obviously not a nice situation and I had made everyone aware I was on my period. I lost half of my blood so had to have transfusions and felt very out of it. While I was quite out of it only a few hours out of surgery they came to tell me they had removed a hernia and I owed another £600. FYI I went for a full body scan prior to leaving for surgery I am under 25 and have never had chrildren and my scan was all clear. As you can imagine I refused but I was made to feel quite uncomfortable and constantly harassed to sign a permission form to say I allowed this! I did not sign the form.

Other than to ask me to sign the form I didn’t hear from my coordinator for the duration of my stay after surgery. I don’t know if it’s this specific coordinatior because I met some lovely people there who had great coordinators who checked in during and after they returned to the UK.

Fast forward home time, again I didn’t hear from my coordinator until about a month later when the swelling had gone down I reached out as I continued to notice I had ‘dog ears’ which basically means not enough skin was removed from my sides. I had made my Dr aware of my concerns a few days after surgery and he said it was Edema, just swelling and it would go away. My coordinator then spun a load of rubbish saying I’d been told to get a 360 or an FDL and I refused. This was not the case as I wanted the skin removed I didn’t care what scar it left. This was purely to cover them needing to do a revision and so I would pay extra. In the end I booked with someone else to revise the work and they said they couldn’t believe I had been left with all that skin on my sides.

My advice if you are considering irmet and you have lost a considerable amount of weight ensure what they are recommending and performing on you is sufficient and specific to you I think a lot the ‘quotes’ are the same and a copy and paste. Also make sure you go for a full body scan so you’re not diagnosed with false issues and scammed.

I went as a partner to my friend who had the operation. She was really looked after by all the staff. From the doctor who did the op ( who came every morning same time without fail) to the wonderful nurses ( so kind ) and the interpreters who helped with anything and everything. Not forgetting the cleaning staff who were very thorough with cleaning and bed change everyday. To be honest food was usual hospital food. Weird combination and not hot usually Cold but its still worth having any treatment here

Tuna was very helpful and made are stay at the İrmet hospital feel at ease everything has been really professional and my wife has been cared for brilliantly

The whole experience from start to finish was great, most of the nurses are incredibly helpful and cheerful (2/3 that are not so helpful or happy) but a few bad apples doesn’t spoil the whole bunch! Tuna was a great support in helping translate and taking me for pre op test etc.. the driver to and from the hospital was nice and gave free cold water which was very needed. Lastly the surgeon doctor Kaman was amazing, he did my operation and checked on my everyday before and after surgery

I cannot put in to words how amazingly outstanding the service and all of the staff have been during my recent gastric sleeve op at Irmet Hospital. I cannot recommend this hospital highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Thank you so much to my co-ordinator Farah for organising everything and Benji for sorting airport assistance, the cleaners, who came in at least 3 times a day, the interpreters who were always on hand (even though everyone's English is phenomenal), the amazing nurses who have such a high level of skill and are all so friendly and just lovely and of course my doctor Dr Kaman who did an amazing job and kept me informed throughout and who visited me twice a day before flying home. 6* service in my opinion.

As a companian I was able to observe thr treatment my friend recieved which was impeciable.
Everyone was so lovely, nurses,cleanerd,food delivery ladies.
Trandlator snd supported Tuna was lovely ,he made sure we were looked after,had all we needed.
Tuna checked on us all the time ever if was a quick hello are you okay thru the day.
He put us at ease and made my friends experience so much easier after her operation.

Tuna is a asset to your buisness and needs to be treasured as not many people have empathy,kindness and knowlege as him.

I travelled to Irmet in November 2023 for a gastric sleeve with Doctor Isa Kaman, I was nervous as I was alone but I had no need to worry. From my collection at the airport (where all my luggage was carried got me) to the ladies who clean and do laundry, every single member of staff was kind and courteous and went above board to help me, surgery was a success and all my medicines and aftercare was explained thoroughly in English to me, I also saw a mental health practitioner who checks you understand the surgeries and the risks. Since coming back to England I am so over the moon with the service I received and my results I will be returning to Irmet in December 2026 for a tummy tuck. Honestly this isn’t a cheap hospital like the ones I’ve seen who put you in a hotel. You are in a working hospital the whole time with specialists and doctors, they did my blood pressure every few hours (they keep you clean and immaculate) and they are always there for a chat, smile or sometimes a cuddle. Dr Ali Bal is an exceptional surgeon, but beyond his outstanding skill, it is his dedication and compassion that truly set him apart. He was present, attentive, and deeply committed to my wellbeing every single day. He checked on me regularly, explained everything clearly, and responded immediately to any concern. Knowing Dr Ali Bal was always there gave me complete trust, reassurance, and peace of mind.

His entire medical team reflects the same exceptional standard of care. The nurses and healthcare staff are truly outstanding — kind, professional, gentle, and always available. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they cared not just for my recovery, but for me as a person.

The domestic and catering staff also deserve special recognition. The hospital is immaculate, the food is nourishing and thoughtfully prepared, and every interaction was warm and respectful. These details matter so much during recovery, and Irmet Hospital excels in all of them.

What makes this hospital truly special is the sense of community and support. The patients support one another, and the hospital team supports us every single day — emotionally as well as medically. This entire experience has been nothing like I imagined; I was supported, reassured, and cared for at every stage.

I am deeply grateful to Dr Ali Bal, his entire team, and everyone at Irmet Hospital for making this journey such a safe, positive, and life-changing experience.

On the whole its been fine and I would come back, however certain things are lacking and could so easily be improved.
On arrival in the evening nobody greeted us for ages. We were just shown into a room by our taxi driver and left. When you’re new and nervous thats not great.
No clinical waste bins in rooms. Maybe this is a Turkish thing?
Towel rails are far too high when you’ve had surgery.
No seating in bathroom, you need this is a shower when you’ve just had surgery.
No drip hooks behind toilet not mobile drip hooks makes it hard to get around safely.
If something it TV or light is broken it takes telling multiple people over several days before it gets fixed.
My room didn’t have privacy curtains so felt quite exposed if someone opened my door.
My blood stained bedding wasn’t changed until I complained at day 4. I don’t know if we were meant to ask the cleaners, in the UK nurses do it every morning so no idea what the routine is here.
Its very noisy at night, staff and patients don’t lower their voices when chatting in the corridor. One night in particular was bad but nurses won’t ask patients to be quiet.
Most of the nurses are lovely as are the cleaners and catering staff. Just a few thoughtful tweaks would make all the difference. Big shout out to Benji and the nurse who washes hair. They were both great and should be recognised for their great service.

I never normally write reviews but I just wanted to write a review for this amazing hospital. I travelled to İrmet from the UK in hopes of having a TT. Unfortunately due to my blood levels being low I couldn’t proceed. The doctors and nurses at this hospital were excellent, they sourced platelets to be infused in hopes of boosting my levels and they also managed to source other medicines that I needed (unfortunately they were too expensive) the care and compassion I received was great. You really cannot say a bad word about the care from the staff here. Even down to the cleaners, co-ordinators, translators etc. I will definitely be coming back once my levels are high enough!

Im the support person so I got to stay and eat for free. The patients here are cool and chatty. Good company and support here from them. The staff here on the other hand are slack. No support really. Just here to do their job I suppose. Lack of encouragement as well. I would pick a couple of the staff that pay attention than that nah lol. Staff here are very noisy no consideration for the patients very loud here. Food is terrible I suppose they are trying though. Been here about a week now. Heading to the airport today. Ty.

I was in discussions to undergo surgery at this hospital. In coordination with someone associated with the hospital called Romeo, we defined the procedures, and I was told that in order to secure the date and the agreed price, I would need to make a payment of €100. I immediately made that payment and sent the proof of transfer.

Unfortunately, I had to cancel and asked if they could refund that amount as I would no longer proceed with the surgery. They said yes and that they would start the process, explaining that it was handled by an external company and it would take three weeks for the money to be returned to my account. This was on 23/09/2025.

It is now 11/11/2025 and I still haven’t received the refund. They continue using the excuse of an external company but are not able to provide the name of this supposed company. I send messages and no one replies.
