Very bad customer service, waiting for over 2 weeks now to get business account openend with no luck. Had a different issue before that and took weeks to get a reply with no resolution.

Terrible customer service they are rude…
Terrible customer service they are rude and blunt and completely unhelpful. First of all the van I rented wouldn't start because of a problem with data fob inside glove box, it took me 25 mins to get through to customer service who decided to rebook the van but using my own funds on my bank account, not once, not twice but three times.
And at the end of the journey they charged me extra 5€ claiming I driver over 60klm in distance which I did not. So instead of it costing me €30 they took €95, It took me 4 phone calls and number of emails to eventually get the other €65 I was overcharged returned but it has been 12 days since then and only 35€ was refunded and a member of there staff has blocked my account witch is fine because I won't be giving them my money again.
Terrible waste of time
In October 2022, I booked a car at Fitzwilliam Street West which started at half two in the afternoon. I used my phone to unlock the car but it wouldn't unlock. My father decided to cancel it by ringing. My father thought it was very frustrating and I thought it was extremely disappointing. It was just a terrible waste of time. I'd say GoCar is probably the worst carsharing company in Ireland. I am NEVER booking any cars/vans from GoCar again ever! I am NEVER reinstalling the Go Car app on my phone or my future phones again either.
If you're reading this, avoid the app.
Please note this experience wasn't happened on Friday the 10th May 2024. It was actually happened on Sunday the 23rd October 2022.
My experience was hassle free
My experience was hassle free, car was clean and ran well. I was able to get done what I needed to do. So overall for me I would definitely use Gocar again.
It was just GREAT !
We hired a car for the first time for two days and it was 200% perfect ! The whole process of being accepted took not even 2 hours with my Irish Driving License. I was very impressed by the whole technical process to open and close the car...very quick. The car was in a perfect and clean state...nothing wrong. During our journey we saw 5 other GoCars driving on the Motorway. We will book again soon !
Didn't show up at the pick up point
Didn't show up at the pick up point, more or less told us to F off when we phoned the 3rd time.
Rude lazy, useless.
I walked in the airport door and had a car from Avis in 5 mins.
I emailed them later recommending a name change to, "NoCar"
A bad experience
Well first of all, I hired a van from.9am Friday 6th April, it didn't arrive at the pick up point until 12 noon, ( I was left waiting for 3 hours in horrible weather ) I contacted customer service service ( which is nearly impossible) and a very nice girl apologised for the delay and refunded, € 25 to my account then a while later I noticed that they had taken € 4.70 from.my account for using the M50 toll bridge, when I wasn't anywhere within miles fo it, thenI contacted customer service again to query this and was told that I would have to send them an email about it, ( I'm talking to a customer service agent on the phone and she tells to to send them an email, the mind boggles ) then when I return the van and got my final receipt I noticed that not only was I charged €4.70 for using the M50 toll bridge which I never did I was also charged €8.00 for 38km's of diesel, ( I travelled 88km of which the first 50km is free,) plus the van was filthy both inside and outside , the windscreen was so filthy on the inside that I had to pull into Halfords and purchase a packet of windscreen wipes to clean the filth off it.
I don't normally complain about things on the Internet but this was just unbelievable

Terrible experience, I booked a car 3 weeks in advance for the easter bank holiday, the car was without battery and they didn't have a spare car, so, a weekend planed more than a month ahead completely ruined. They just did a full refund and 25€ into the Go Car account that I am pretty sure I am not going to use never again. Absoultely awfull. Worst experience ever in a rental
Great method of sustainable travel
Great method of sustainable travel, car rental by the hour in Dublin.Also they left a Easter egg in the car. What's not to like?

What the Hell is wrong with this company?
The awfulness of this service... the impossibility of actually making it all work - has motivated me to start my own on-site car rental service, and to do it right.
It's a fantastic idea. But apparently, GoCar is run by an eight-year old.
Look, when you make money in a business, you use a significant percentage of your profits to make your services easier and more appealing to your clientele.
As it stands, GoCar COULD be what it should be, but because of someone's incompetence and/or flat out greed, you are going to see a far superior competitor take over this idea and put GoCar out of business - and deservedly so.
Disgusting service
Disgusting service. Cancelled on me last minute, no alternative provided. “Go look on the app” is the answer. Just wow.

We have waited nearly three weeks for approval even though emailed back and forth got absolutely no help whatsoever would not recommend thus company if you are looking for hassle free I suggest people go elsewhere

I see bad reviews for this company here but still wanted to try it as one of their car is available near my office.
Downloaded the app, created profile and uploaded documents.
Now two months and still waiting for approval.
Looks like every other start-up story. Big show-off, raise capitals from investors but no actual business.
Unauthorised charges to card for valet of car
I have used gocar a lot in the past and accepted that sometimes I’d turn up and the car wouldn’t be in the right place or it wouldn’t be there at all or wouldn’t open or a bit dirty. I took the good with the bad but then one day I saw 180 euro unilaterally taken from my credit card for valet of a car I rented. The car was a bit dirty when I rented it but I never reported it on the app as I always never do but this time they stung me without even notifying me and said they are entitled to and I have no recourse. I am pursuing them with the consumer agency. Be warned. The car had the usual level of uncleanliness that is always in their cars. I rented the same car on my street today and it is still dirty, they are just using it as a sharp way to extract money.

Same fraud as Ryanair. One cm away from the area you got the car or 1 minute later than booked, they charge you 5x more. It’s just a fraudulent company which should be shut down by governments immediately.

Terrible! Not only did they downgrade the car we hired but also made us pay insurance because they didn’t accept the cards we had to hold the deposit. Completely unhelpful and a scam!!
Using this company was more painful than gouging my eyes out with a blunt wooden spoon.
By far the worst experience.
Initially the car was not at the reported location. It took us contacting support to find the car.
Upon entering, the car wouldn’t start (it seems the previous owner left the lights on). When we requested to have a new car, customer support cancelled our trip and asked us to make a new booking. Given the limited availability this left us stranded at our location with no options to get to where we needed to be in time.
I strongly even considering using them.
