I had issues with my private rented landlord and EMILY from GLP was amazing, she made sure everything was correct and kept me up to date with everything that was going on I would definitely recommend GLP solicitor

Used Martin from GLP for conveyancing services and unfortunately do not recommend for several reasons.

1. Was not kept up to date throughout the process, felt like I was doing the chasing and work but still needing to pay someone. Annoying!
2. They completely forgot about one of my properties that I had been quoted on, it was only when the final bits where being done I questioned it and he said “you should have reminded me” ermmm no that’s your job that I am paying you for.
3. I understand quotes and final figures can differ but felt like they completely made up a lot of the extra figures and when questioned I was owed some money back, if I didn’t notice would I have got it back, who knows.
4. The receptionist is so unnecessarily rude, if you don’t like your job then please leave.
5. Previous owner left a lot of rubbish in the house which I paid to have removed, solicitors were supposed to bill the previous owner, never heard a thing since.
6. The house we bought had planning permission granted - solicitor advised us we have until 2027 to start the work, later found out from my own research it’s 2025.

Besides all of this communication is terrible, quite old fashioned style of working. Wouldn’t recommend.

I have sent 25 email and made 5 phone calls with no response. I am autistic And struggle anyway they have Be littled me . I only want to ask what documents need to Ben sent to the court And the court date

I made one of the biggest regrets of my life going witg this company. Over the course of almost 5years after a brutal attack, I hor a call today after a brutal attack, I have been called a liar and told I will not get a pennies of compensation, fo4 everything I went through I was brutally attack3d, strangled repeatedly attacked, I can no longer work and I get told this my children have missed on years of me being disabl3d after what this so called man done to me, it is disgusting the criminal justice is despicable, don't touch them whatever you do

If you want to be belittled then GLP Prestwich is the place to go.

I have been in the property industry for over 10 years and dealt with a vast number of Solicitors during that time. GLP is, without doubt, the worst company I have used.

My case was dealt with by Martin Cohen, his approach to me was rude and self righteous. He continually spoke down to me and I also witnessed his young members of staff being treated the same way in front of customers. I was that annoyed I put a complaint in - the response form the MD was shocking to say the least. He wrote about how my property business was 'just 24 months old' and he completely backed up Martin Cohen with his actions (what they didn’t seem to realise is that most of properties are ran through my Self- assessment for tax purposes rather than Companies House so they are not visible online !

Clearly a culture of self-importance and ageism.

I can’t thank Annam Llyas enough for the help, support and fight she had for my claim. She went above and beyond for my rights and wouldn’t give up. Very professional and knowledgeable, communicated so clear on each stage of my claim. Even when I didn’t see an end to this, Annam kept pursuing for the best outcome for me. For me a true asset to the company

After struggling to find a solicitor to help me with a small problem I was directed to GLP, Terry,Amy and Jane went out of their way to help me when nobody else would, they got me set up with an appointment asap as my enquiry was urgent and dealt with the matter for me taking a huge weight off my shoulders, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend and use again should I ever need legal advice, thankyou so much 😃

I had a very good experience with GLP solicitors. I have bought my first house in april and used their services, however the house fell through so I used them for my second house. I have nothing but only good points to raise. Going through buying your house is the most stressful time in my life and the ladies have been nothing but supportive. I have chased them daily for a update so I was worried and so stressed but they assured me, that they are chasing the other end and as soon as they hear any update they let me know. Which they did. The waiting was driving me crazy but I had trust in them to help me and sort it all out for me. The ladies Jennifer and Ruth where so supportive and understanding my desperate situation, loosing already one house and also going through a difficult divorce and trying to deal with all of this. I have felt really supported and that was so reassuring for me at this difficult time. At the end of the exchange there was another delay and wait from the other part but they rang me all day and kept chasing and updating me. I would definatly recommended GLP and I will use the service again as I feel trusted.

terrible no contact whatsoever always having to chase them up .
a trip in the road where craters were ,a sly untrustworthy council subsequently admitted responsibility liability after much deliberation and dodgy internal e-mails from department to department, they were trying to say it was not there road ? however highways england said yes it was .
it’s 3 years on still nothing . time to instruct a better understanding competent law firm who will communicate and understand communication is part and parcel of everything customer services is paramount .
GLP are a joke avoid at all costs .

I contacted glp because my flat was in disrepair for 11 years since the first year I lived there the walls have mould and damp all over, after years of complaints and health complaints leading to my kids having asthma and mould related illness this was my last resort and I’m glad I choices to work with them. Lucy from the bury branch was fighting my corner right from the start and settled the case within 4 months with a great outcome! I’m getting compensation and the landlord is fixing all problems highlighted. Lucy kept me up to date at all times with what was happening and in making sure the landlord kept to the deadlines. I would highly recommend Lucy from glp law in bury, thank you for all your help and support.

I couldn't think of a more incompetent solicitors. This company miscalculated my fees and demanded over £700 the day I was moving. They are rude, unresponsive and completely incapable of their practice. I urge you to look elsewhere.
