Never use this company for Car Rental, at least not in Warsaw, Poland.

Completely worthless and incompetent staff at the office and hidden expenses in the contract. Weeks after your return you will get an e-mail that they will withdraw an amout from your deposit because of car damages which was never there etc...

Just, never!

Warning stay well clear !!! Just like all the other reviews they will find a way to get money out of you ...do not use ....so usual story with me on return damage done to the car .....Never use this company

I have been scammed by this company. They have returned the deposit in full, however a week later they have charged my credit card for an amount of 200 EUR for an alleged scratch I haven’t caused! They sent me pictures of bird droppings visible on the bumper claiming it is a scratch! I couldn’t believe it is true. I thought it is just a mistake and I did try to contact them, but they don’t reply on emails. Avoid this company!

DON´T USE THIS COMPANY!! We made a booking and according to the voucher the office was opened monday-sunday all hours. We were delayed because of a storm, when we finally arrived to pic up the car the office was closed, the phonenumber on the sign was also closed. Instead we had to take a taxi to the hotel and had no car on our vacation! WE WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!

Rather many have given bad reviews about Global, but I have to admit that I didn't have any problems using their services. And I'm the kind of guy who reads all the reviews before booking anything and consider my choices with care.

I rented a car from Global at Krakow Airport. Here are my pros and cons:

Pros:
+ Cheap.
+ Easy to use -website.
+ No-hassle pick-up/drop-off

Cons:
- Website does not clearly state different damage waivers. I took the most expensive package, and the clerk told me that it was comparable to "zero excess" or SCDW. However I find this a problem in almost all rental car companies.
- Credit card deposit for a small car was rather high. 500 euros, if I remember right.

Other:
- I took a small car, but what I got had a really low engine performance - well below what I expected. Well, this isn't probably fault of the company.
- Car rental desks are located in a tricky place inside a small corridor at Krakow Airport.

Be aware! Global rent a car is a scam. Their extremely rude personnel told me that i am not eligible to get a car unless i pay full insurance coverage. I asked which law states that, they showed me some clauses from the voucher. First time i was faced with such nonsense.
They also said fuel policy full to empty applies for me! I asked the fuel price just for fun, i was asked to pay two times the normal rate.

This company are totally immoral.
I gave then a few chances and each time they scammed me out of money for damage that wasn’t incurred.
The last time they supplied a car in a non road worthy status.
There was no washer fluid in the car which I only noticed whilst on the motorway in fog and had to drive 47 kilometres to purchase washer fluid. When I tried to reclaim the £5for the fluid they refused. It’s not the £5, its the principle. I have reported them to the Polish authorities. DO NOT USE THEM

I can testify that I have been wrongly charged for a very large scratch on the rented car to the value of almost £400. The rented car had over 20 reports of marks / scratches / damages on the status document at the moment of the pick-up. The status document showing the damages was NOT given to me, only sent by e-mail. I had no real possibility to compare the car with its status (no way I would remember all the damages). My family and I did however clearly see a 10 cm long and deep scratch on the car. I thought that this scratch must of course already be on the status report. It was unmissable. I have now found out, after having returned home, that the rental company debited my card of an amount close to £400. It is difficult for me to defend my case legally. I would nonetheless like to highlight this awful and unacceptable practice. I have booked at least 50 rentals with various companies and never felt so ripped off. Best regards, Frederic

I wish I read all previous reviews before I used this company. My story is almost identical as most of previous reviews. Taking money from people for damage that it’s not on the car or was there previously is purely called stealing!! Everyone be aware and honestly do not use them!!

I rented a car from an airport in Poland and on arrival was told that car was not ready and need to wait 30 minutes. Then I was offered additional insurance, which I declined as was not necessary. I was asked “are you sure?” several times, which I found very odd at the time. I had the car for 8 days. On returning the car there was nobody at the counter at the airport and after asking at other rental counters, I was told to post the keys to the box on the wall. I didn’t trust that and I took a detailed video of the car. An hour later I got an email with the report stating that there is damage to the bumper, which is not visible in the video. £200 was taken from my credit card. No photos attached, no other evidence, no invoice or breakdown of the repairing costs. I’ve tried to call and email the company but there is no response. I have never dealt with worse customer service and cheating than at the Global!!! Never again!

I hired first time a car and I probably could not find worse car hire company. My partner and I landed in Katowice airport on 12 of January 2019 after midnight , took our luggage and went straight to the terminal counter where we payed for the car (had to pay extra £25 for collecting after opening hours- painful but this was agreed), sorted out all necessary documents and collected the key. The car was not prepared for the drive, we had to spend extra half an hour to defrost it and scrape the windows with little cheap plastic scraper in the middle of the night after long trip, after 10 days before we were going to return the car, we went to the closest to the airport petrol station, filled up and washed the car (this was the condition for car rental employee to check the car at the return while we still there), when we arrived at the airport the was nobody from the reception nor any employee from Global to check the condition of the car (in the agreement was stated that their working hours are from 7:00 to 23:00 and someone will check the car while we there - this did not happen) . We were left a message at the counter to leave the key in the post box under the counter so we did. Next day we have received the email with report that we damage the car. Certainly we have inspected the car after car wash and the scratch was not there, after next 10 days we have received the photos (small scratch at the back driver side doors). They took nearly £200 from my credit card to cover the damage, we have not done. I have wrote several email to 2 different global contact email addresses with no response. I have called the company and complaint but was only advice to write an email of complainant and wait for the response which will never receive. Strongly not recommend them, bunch of tricksters. Thieves they rob people, Please if you were victim of this company let everyone know, write reviews make others aware don't leave it. I have forgotten to add that I still have not got the Invoice nor final repair garage invoice which in polish law is a tax offence. At the moment trying to sort it out with help of financial ombudsman service.

Ta firma to złodzieje i oszuści naciągają klijentow i ubezpieczalnie mój przypadek Lotnisko Gdańsk 27.10-7.11.2018 auto WND68706 kosztowało mnie to 188,83€ Szkoda + 191,01€ po urzyciu pierwszy raz karty kredytowej ktoś urzył mojej karty. Mój partner lotnisko Katowice 27.01-03.02.2019 SK790LR 250€ za wyjazd za granice ale byl tylko w Kudowa Zdrój +781,23 złoty. Oczywiście mamy zdjecia ze uszkodzenia już były. Jak nazwać taka firmę?????? Złodzieje i oszuści

I totally agree with John Rios, investigation is needed. This company can't remain open at main airports.

Hereby a summary of my experience at Krakow airport, which is a real scam!

- no one present at the rental desk for check-in, had to wait 30 minutes
- car was not ready, I was offered a smaller car
- had to pay additional fee for a car of a higher class
- car was not cleaned on the outside at pickup
- CHARGED €200 FOR DAMAGE FROM OPENING THE PASSENGER DOOR AGAINST A WALL, WHILE I WAS TRAVELLING ALONE AND NEVER USED THE PASSENGER DOOR
- Unable to reach the customer service over the phone
- I sent 9 e-mails without any reply, in the end they blocked my e-mail address

I don't understand the bad comment's the guy at the desk was very helpful with a big smile at his face. The car the gave me was a Suzuki swift 2018 brand new, it was clean and I liked it so much. Good job there in Thessaloniki !

HIRED CAR WITH TOP INSURANCE THROUGH RYANAIR AND WAS CHARGED £81.44 FOR DAMAGED PLASTIC WHEEL TRIM THAT WASN'T MY FAULT (PROVEN WITH PICTURES). THEIR MOST LIKELY REASON FOR A CHARGE WAS THAT I DIDN'T BUY THEIR INSURANCE!!! SOME SORT OF PENALTY??? . BOOKED CAR WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION AND RECEIVED AUTOMATIC. ON A TOP OF THAT PISSPOOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
