This company abuses credit card numbers of customers!! Be warned.

I want my money back. This is a scam and law enforcement should be involved since this place is running some sort of racket.

If I could put 0 star, I would. I made a reservation on Orbitcarhire.com and everything was fine until I showed up at Global Car Rental to pick up. Once there, the representative said that my reservation was not valid because the price was too low. He forced me into purchasing a much higher contract stating that he was doing me favour as it was Thanksgiving week so cars were hard to get. In reality he was taking advantage of the situation and as I couldn't get a hold of Orbitcarhire.com to verify anything and I needed to get going so he used this against me. He said I could then get refunded from Orbitcarhire.com but when I contacted them the next week, Global Car Rental came up with lies after lies saying that I didn't have a valid driver license, a credit card with my name on it or a credit card with sufficient funds,... I obviously had all of these or else they would not have let me purchase a new car rental contract but they came up with all these lies to cover the fact that they are not a legitimate company and they are only here to rob people. Stay away from this company at all cost if you don't want to end up in the same situation where they charged us $400 for a 3 days rental of a small car and they are now coming up with more lies to avoid refunding us.

Wynajelam auto na 45 dni- pierwsze otrzymalam brudne, awaria alternatora w drodze. 1 dzien bez auta, drugie auto brudne i poobijane, potem 3 bez plynu adblue. 3 auta zamiast jednego ale sprawnego technicznie. Firma do tej pory nie zwrocila depozytu 5000 zlotych (16 dni od daty zwrotu)-- sztuczne przeciaganie zwrotu kaucji.

Scam!!! Run away and avoid at all costs!!!! This company is nothing but a rip-off operation with lies, hidden fees, and intimidation tactics. Here’s what happened to me: They refused to accept my own rental insurance and forced me to buy theirs. Pure extortion. They slapped on a $20 unused toll fee, then had the nerve to say they’d remove it only if I wrote them a good review. FYI my car was parked in the cruise parking lot be we never used toll. That’s blackmail. They charged me $20 for tolls I NEVER used. I even asked for proof since I have all history from the Google Maps. They ignored me and kept the money anyway. Booking.com clearly said $250 deposit. At the counter, they demanded $1,500. Outrageous. In total, what should have been a $130 rental turned into $430. I’m writing this review a month later because I was genuinely nervous they might steal more money out of that $1,500 security deposit. That’s how untrustworthy this company is. They trick you online with low prices, then ambush you at the counter with hidden charges and threats. They are dishonest, predatory, and should be shut down.

Global Rent-a-Car pulls you in with a promise of an inexpensive rental. When you get to their office, they tack on several service fees, which more than double the quoted price, but by this time, you either accept their terms or you don't get a car. They tell you things like, "You need the Sun Pass or the tolls will really rack up. The fee covers the tolls." But the fee does NOT cover the tolls. (It's in the fine print.) You get the car, it's dirty with a few stains, but hey, it's a rental. The air pressure is low, and the light comes on about 5 miles out from the rental desk. They tell you not to worry about it, "it's just the Florida heat. It happens here." Physics doesn't work that way! Then, about two weeks after you've returned the car, you get hit with the fee for the tolls and the cleaning fee. (You know, for the dirty, stained car they provided.)

So, you try to clear all this up and you call, leave messages, call again, but they can't find your records. They'll call you back...but don't. So you call back. They give excuses. You ask to talk to the manager. They tell you it's the owner, and he isn't available.

In the end, the final cost was about three times the quoted price per day and about double that of the major rental retailers.

I would tell you NOT to use this company, but I think you should. Record everything. Take NO extras, NOT ONE, and fight every fee NOT explicitly written. IF enough people do this, they will go broke. This company is out to scam you!!!

Horrible!!! Paid for my rental online and was prepared to pay the deposit but when I got there they tried to Charge me another $258 for the rental plus the $250 deposit.

WARNING!!! WARNING!!! please don't ruin your family's vacation if you're looking to rent from this SCAM COMPANY!!! DON'T DO IT...they are liars and scammers!!! hidden overpriced fees for insurance they claim you have to have. And they will let you drive off in a vehicle that's unsafe, as our passenger van had a huge cracked windshield...and wouldn't compensate for it!!! and FL allows this? Florida itself is the number 1 scam state in the nation!!! Be careful and DON'T rent from them and be careful in Fl. The owner doesn't care to respond to these issues. They are going down!!!!!

Very shady. Extra fees, took 2 weeks to get deposit back. And then they took out money for tolls that I know for a fact I never went thru any. Wouldn't recommend if they were the last rental place on earth. Very bad experience.

Fueron muy rápidos recogiéndome al aeropuerto, me entregaron un vehículo mejor del que había seleccionado y no tuve ningún inconveniente. Me gustó mucho el precio y el buen trato.

The van that we had was reliable. No major problems. In and out in a timely manner in the office.

This place is a rip off. They add all these hidden fees $199. For fees after you pay ur rental in full when u book it. Also still have not received my deposit back 30 days later they added an additional $150. From unknown reasons. They cannot be contacted at the phone number. Left several messages and Emails and have still have not heard back. Very shady company. Don’t rent here if u are looking for a deal. This 5 day rental of small car has cost $ 750 and no return call with explanation. Car had expired tags and was in crappy shape

DO NOT RENT WITH THEM! Nightmare experience, arriving with 2x small kids (2&4) after 3hrs flight delay to Katowice where super unhelpful and careless guy told us that we are half an hour late and our car was rent out! The asked us to pay 3x the original price for new rental, despite our car was prepaid more then 4 months in advance; they left us with 2x small kids and basically said good luck and bye! We asked to speak to manager but that request was rejected; it took us nearly 3 hours to find new car as everything was either booked out or crazy expensive! Absolute joke!!

Witam. Ja miałem przykre doświadczenia z tą firmą w Czarnogórze i pomimo to, że recencje dotyczą Global rent-a-car Polska, do dokładnie te same problemy opisywane tu przez ludzi spotkały mnie na lotnisku w Podgoricy. Auto zostało wynajęte za pośrednictwem Booking.com, wszystko zapłacone z góry, pełne ubezpieczenie, a na lotnisku odmówiono mi wynajmu ponieważ uznawali tylko i wyłącznie kartę kredytową jako środek płatności, dodatkowo chcieli zablokować kartę na prawie 1400 euro na wypadek kolizji pomimo tego, że miałem pełne ubezpieczenie. Cudem miałem jedną kartę kredytową ze sobą ale nie wystarczyło środków, a obsługa na dodatek nie wykazała się żadną chęcią pomocy chociaż miałem 5 kart debetowych ze sobą na których posiadałem środki. Minęły już 3 miesiące od kiedy złożyłem reklamację do Booking jak również do Rentalcars ale do tej pory nic nie zrobiono. Sprawa nie do załatwienia. Przestrzegam wszystkich również przed wynajmem za pośrednictwem Booking ponieważ są z tym same problemy. Przez Rentalscar z kolei zawsze wynajem był ok i bez problemów. Wiem napewno, że Global rent-a -car będę omijał wielkim łukiem i wszystkim radzę tego samego. Pozdrawiam

Une énorme arnaque. Au moment de récupérer la voiture, qui déjà n'était pas le modèle qu'on avait réservé, on constate plein de griffes et de coups qui n'étaient pas répertoriés dans les papiers. Nous faisons nous même l'inspection de la voiture en vérifiant que l'homme de l'agence note chaque défaut, pour ne pas avoir de mauvaise surprise au retour.
Au moment de rendre la voiture après notre séjour, un de ses collègues se rue sur la voiture et pose IMMÉDIATEMENT sa main sur le bas de caisse (sans avoir fait d'inspection en amont) en prétendant que nous avons abîmé le dessous de la voiture. Effectivement, il y avait un coup sous la voiture que nous n'avions pas vu au départ. Nous avons pris grand soin de la voiture tout le long du séjour et le coup se voyait uniquement en se baissant et en regardant en dessous du bas de caisse, alors comment pouvait-il deviner sans avoir regardé ne serait-ce qu'un minimum ? Nous sommes certains que ce coup a toujours été là et qu'ils savaient très bien ce qu'ils faisaient, tout comme avec les autres griffes qui, si nous ne les avions pas vues nous-même, auraient été à notre charge.
Nous avons donc dû payer pour les dégâts dont nous ne sommes même pas responsables, presque 300€ dans le c*l. C'est vraiment honteux. Si vous avez une location prévue chez Global Rent-A-Car je vous conseille de faire vous-même une inspection très minutieuse du véhicule lors de sa réception et de filmer l'entièreté du véhicule, ça vous évitera ce genre d'escroquerie. Nous regrettons amèrement de leur avoir fait confiance.

Pierwszy raz kożystałem z usłóg tej firmy I jestem rozczarowany .
Zapłacilem za auto online przy odbiorze naliczono mi dodatkowe ubezpieczenie I płatność za cały bak paliwa oddalem 3/4 Baku. Obsługa fatalna. Mało tego po dwòch tygodniach otrzymalem email z informacją że zostala naliczona kara umowna za przewożenie zwierząt, pobrano z konta 500zł. Bez mojej wiedzy. Auto odebrałem z lotniska z opóznieniem bo ponoc klient siẹ spóznił, auto było nie wysprzatane I całe okłaczone za co ja musiałem zapłacić kare. Auto z lotniska Poznan Ławica. Nigdy wiecej nie wynajme auta z tej firmy. Nie polecam. ZŁODZIEJE!!!!!!!!!!

AGE DISCRIMINATION SCAM - Prepaid to rent a car for 14 days (2 months prior to rental date). I am 67 years old. I have not had a problem renting a car based on my age at other car rental companies. I am a licensed driver in MN and met all their insurance requirements (after obtaining my insurance policy from my agent to prove my policy limits rather being charged an additional $349.86 for their insurance coverage). When the company realized I was 67 they denied rental stating age between 25-65.

Their website states age requirement as at least 21 and the website did not stop my reservation when DOB was entered.

Their comprise was for me to bring in someone between the age of 25-65 to rent the car on my behalf. I requested a refund but it was denied. The whole situation (proving insurance policy limits, an attempt to charge cost of $167.86 for tolls because they wouldn’t allow personal EZ-pass usage) seems unethical. I met all the requirements to rent a car. To not rent to me and refuse to provide a refund strictly based on age is total age discrimination.

I went to a different car rental company paid a premium rate. Rented using my drivers license and my signature refusing their insurance coverage. They also allowed use of personal toll pass. Was in & out in 5 minutes instead of spending 2 hours proving insurance coverage at Global Car Rental only to be denied due to age.

TOTAL SCAM!!

Empresa muy poco seria, hice una reserva con 6 meses de antelación empezando el alquiler un domingo, al llegar a la oficina estaba cerrada y nadie nos dio una solución hasta el día siguiente. Alquilamos una furgoneta tipo doblo, y nos dieron un Fiat Agea, con menor maletero y muy incomodo para viajar cinco personas. Por todas estas molestias nos "compensaron" con 35€...

Go directly to the larger more known companies. I booked a car Via the ryan air website which uses global Rent-a-car.

I arrived at the airport late evening with the wife and our 5 month old baby and a very unhelpful lady in the global desk told me they did not have a car for me despite my booking was done and confirmed 2 months in advance.

Ended up paying premium price with another company at the airport which global said they would refund over the phone. Its been 2 months and still no refund even though I am 100% sure I did everything correct from my side. PS also do not rent cars via the RYAN AIR website
