On 17th December I rented a car through Economy Car Rental however It was actually Global Rent a car with a branch in Gdansk Airport. In Gdansk I have been forced to buy an additional insurance for £360 at the start but when a lady saw my dissapointment she reduced the price to nearly £200 just because it was my initial rather than full name on my credit card. There is nothing mentioned about that in their T_C and nothing in the T_C from Global. Although I felt cheated_ I paid what they ordered because it was the middle of the night and I was with two little children. I was told this insurance would cover everything even the car doesn_t need to be wiped clean_ and it doesn_t need to be full of fuel. On 4 January I gave the car away and day later I received another bill for PLN 250 because the car was dirty inside!!
This company is an absolute joke. Please AVOID THEM.

I had already wrote a review of this company but it has disappeared off this site! Strange.
Stay away.. no listen STAY AWAY. They will steal your money like thousands of others.
The owners should be in prison not running a car rental company. It’s cheap for a reason. They make their profit by making up damage claims. The Polish law system needs to join the modern times. Any other company like this in Europe would be closed down.

I would give 0 if I only could. I am not going to say anything much different than other hundreds of dissatisfied customers already done before me.
They will try to charge you hundred of £££ for existing tiny scratches. Likely, I took many, many photograph of all scratches and this saved me from loosing hundred of £££ which they took of my deposit but returned to my credit card after a month long battle and after I advised them of a legal action i am going to take.
Best advise : AVOID!!!!!!
I hope they will be gone soon if the situation with covid restrictions will continue and this will be probably the only positive thing coming out of it.

Gdansk 21/08/2020. Auto odebralam w nocy z lotniska , przyznam , ze protokol uszkodzen troche mnie przerazil . W dzien zrobilam zdjecia zeby nie przypisano mi zadnych uszkodzen . Oddalam auto czyste jak wymagala tego firma i na tym koniec milej wspolpracy . Po kilku dniach otrzymalam email , ze jest wgniecenie i dlugie zadrapanie przez dwoje drzwi. Zostalam obciazona kosztem 2tys. zl. Jestem pewna , ze zostalam ofiara i byla to proba wyludzenia pieniedzy poniewaz nie wykupilam ubezpieczenia w Global . Od razu probowalam wyjasnic sprawe z Global , przedstawiajac zdjecia ktore nie zgadzaly sie z ich protokolem zdania auta . Nie bylo zadnej dyskusji i odrzucono reklamacje . Skierowalam sprawe do brokera ktory zaczal dociekac jak doszlo do szkody . Wyjasnilam szczegolowo wszysttko, przedstawilam zdjecia, zaznaczylam , ze nie doszlo do zadnego wypadku . Moje zdjecia dowodzily , ze uszkodzenia byly przy odbiorze auta na jednych drzwiach a na drugich przypisano mi kolejna szkode . Ewidentnie byla to jedno przetarcie na calej dlugosci auta , zostalo mi to przypisane i mnie obciazono na kwote 2tys. zl. Po sledztwie, broker zmusil Global do zwrotu pieniedzy i mam nadzieje , ze z tego tytulu maja sprawe o oszustwo.

NEVER AGAIN! Abusive and dishonest. We were firstly forced into paying an additional amount as we were renting the car at Warsaw Airport, Poland, (apparently all my credit cards had no my first name in full on them! I have a long last name and Im not the issuing bank!) and then they'd charged us a cleaning fee after we returned the car as they deemed it dirty inside! What an absolute pile of rubbish! We were two professionals using the car for a brief trip, in and out, nothing else and definitely we'd not left any dirt behind, I never do! But, by then, we were already abroad with no chance of scrutinising it further so spoke to their their customer care instead who did not give a damn.. Do not use them, ever! I'd give them a zero if I could!

Global Rent a Car – amatorszczyzna czy wyrachowanie? Global Rent-a-Car - omijaj szerokim łukiem! Po awarii samochodu (5.10.20) zabranego przez pomoc drogową do serwisu Kia Motors czekałem ponad 20 godz. na samochód zastępczy. Jako "przeprosiny i podziękowanie za cierpliwość" od firmy Global po 10 dniach otrzymałem rachunek za dotankowanie uszkodzonego wozu (ponad 170 PLN). Mogło brakować co najwyżej 5 litrów (po przejechaniu na pełnym baku ok. 70km). Moją prośbę o wyjaśnienie podstaw wystawienia faktury zignorowano i potrącono kwotę. Po 2 tygodniach (nie pierwszy to raz) nie otrzymałem żadnego dokumentu o zdaniu samochodu i nie odblokowano jeszcze kaucji 750 euro. Rozważam włączenie do sprawy Rzecznika Praw Konsumenta oraz adwokata, a może i coś więcej. Pamiętajcie! - jeśli nie posiadacie wydrukowanego vouchera, zapłacie cenę wziętą z kosmosu. Na pytanie - czemu tak jest?, odpowiedź brzmi – „taki system”?! Jaki system? - pytam. Komputerowy czy zarządzania firmą? - Wyraźnie to drugie!

Bunch of scammers, avoid at any cost.
I got charged for cleaning the interior of the car despite the “dirty” marks were clearly indicated on the car inspection form, when I collected the car at Cracow airport.
As a reply to my claim against their charge I received a nonsense email which stated that I should have reported the marks when I was collecting the car - once again - these marks were already indicated on the inspection form sent to me via email.

Not good in many ways !!!
Scammers first of all do not return vehicle after working hours or you will be charged for scratches you didn’t make... that in the past recently rented a car never seen any rental company who rent vehicle with so many scratches on it keep on coming... it was dirty inside nobody newer reply to my emails and mobile number provided newer answers calls.
Best of all .. after an hour drive somewhere in south Poland starts raining so I turn wipers on and find out that the driver side wiper was torn in pieces and couse road hard to see
Guess what nobody answer the phone nobody replay to emails. Had to buy a wiper on motorway service and nobody want to refund as I didn’t take invoice just the recipe ..
It’s a JOKE COMPANY in my opinion and will definitely recommend to avoid them for peace of mind...

never have I experienced anything like this. first they give us a car in a lower class for the same price. we had chosen mercedes but we got a mazda. They claimed it was an upgrade. When we handed over the car we checked it for damage and there was none but a few hours after we were told it has a big scratch. It is very clear that it has been applied after delivery. I therefore ask for footage from the surveillance but this they ignore.

Stay away from this scam company

I rented a car at Krakow airport. The car was all covered in scratches and was very dirty inside (lots of sand). No one even bothered to come with me and talk me through damages. I was told to take photos if I see something that wasn't shown on their form and show them at the return. This wasn't possible in the dark multistorey carpark so I drove outside and took about 100 pictures of the car as it was not possible to find every single scratch and dent and compare with the form.
When I returned the car I asked twice and been waiting nearly an hour for someone to check the car with me. This didn't happen but latter they claimed I maid a massive scratch charging me over £200. I don't know if they enhanced it in photoshop but luckily similar scratch was visible on the photos I made and I managed to get my money back.

Lesson learnt:
1. Don't go to these scammers as they are making money charging for fake or old scratches.
2. If you choose to take them, take as many pictures as you can as this is your only way to get your money back

Worst rental car company I’ve used in the past 10 years as a regular travel. Always take a comprehensive video and photos of a rental car before you use it. Including bumpers, wheel rims, door panels top-to-bottom. Evidence in case needed against disgusting companies like this one; with the only focus to rip-off and catch out trusting consumers. This is a terrible company that does nothing for the reputation of the car hire industry. The more people that read these reviews, the less people this company will treat so badly.

Nawet nie zasługa na jedna gwiazdę. Najgorsza firma na świecie. Oszuści i wyzyskiwacze. Zero kompetencji i pomocy klientowi. Naciągacze z kartami kredytowymi i ważnością 6- miesięczna. Nigdy więcej !!!! Nie dajcie się naciągnąć na dodatkowe ubezpieczenienie bo i tak was wykończą. Mam nadzieje ze wkoncu przyjdzie kryska na Matyska i jakiś Angol da im popalić jak wypożyczy od nich auto. Powinni mieć siedzibę w piwnicy a nie na lotnisku w Gdańsku.

We rent a car from the company who clearly take advantage of their customers. They try the best to rip off people as much as they can . For reasons like our credit card did not had full name on the card that’s why it wasn’t accepted. What a joke UK credit cards dose not have full name on the card. Being on airport at midnight with newborn baby we did not had choice to purchase full insurance that doesn’t need our credit card anymore. Which will cost you 25 euro a day. So that was the only way to be able to travel to our hotel which was 2 hours away.
In my opinion this company should be investigated as it doesn’t comply with any standards of trade or services that they provide . How surprising is that almost all customers been ripped off for such small reasons !!!! I believe that they are just looking for excuses like that to be able to take advantage of people and charge them money . I am not gonna be one of those people and I am taking this further as this is total disgrace .

Je vous livre mon expérience avec l'agence GLOBAL-rent-a-car de l'aéroport de Cracovie. Je suis très insatisfait des services de cette agence. Pour moi c'est une entreprise d'arnaques organisées. Au moment de la prise du véhicule le 14 juillet 2020, le loueur m'annonce qu'étant donné que je n'ai pas de carte de crédit pour le dépot de garantie, je dois souscrire une assurance complémentaire de sa société de location, et une taxe supplémentaire me permettant de rendre la voiture avec le réservoir vide. Je ne voyais pas le lien entre le dépot de garantie et le fait de prendre une assurance et de payer la taxe supplémentaire. J'ai essayé de discuter avec le loueur, mais j'ai vite compris que c'était impossible avec une tête brulée. J'ai alors essayé de téléphoner à Rentalcars, intermédiaire que j'ai sollicité pour la location de cette voiture, en France et à Manchester. Il a été impossible de joindre une personne après plus d'une heure d'attente au téléphone. J'ai alors compris à ce moment là que j'étais victime d'une arnaque organisée pour me contraindre à payer des sommes totalement injustifiées. J'ai dû payer la somme de 1575 PLN (assurance) + 294 PLN (restitution du véhicule réservoir vide). Je tiens à préciser qu'à ce moment là, le loueur a piégé également deux autres clients. Ce qui fait qu'en une journée de 8 heures, potentiellement 24 clients peuvent être piégés, volés et arnaqués. Par ailleurs, j'ai mené mon enquête et c'est la seule société de location de voiture de l'aéroport de Cracovie qui demande la carte de crédit. Pour les autres sociétés, la carte de débit suffit pour les véhicules bas de gamme. Par ailleurs, j'ai essayé de faire racheter mon contrat de location auprès d'autres sociétés de location de voitures, mais cela a été impossible.
Après avoir dû payer cette somme, je me suis dirigé vers le véhicule. Bien sûr il n'y avait personne pour faire l'état des lieux, j'ai trouvé un véhicule en piteux état avec des rayures partout sur la voiture, et il manquait même des éléments de carrosserie. C'est payé très cher pour une poubelle ambulante ! Je me suis ensuite aperçu que cette voiture consommait comme un trou, avec près de 10 litres aux 100 km !!!
J'ai rendu le véhicule le 4 aout 2020 avant mon vol en avion bien-sûr , comme convenu dans le contrat de location ! Par la suite je reçois une facture de 107,50 PLN à payer car j'ai remis le véhicule en retard ! En effet, le vol RYANAIR du retour Cracovie vers Beauvais a été replanifié après ma réservation de la voiture suite à l'épidémie de Covid. J'ai alors averti le loueur le 14 juillet quand j'ai pris le véhicule, il m'a certifié que ça ne causait pas de problème et que ça ne changeait rien au contrat. D'ailleurs, le vol aller de Beauvais à Cracovie a eu du retard et je n'ai pas eu à payer un supplément pour prise en compte du véhicule en retard. Je demande la fermeture de toutes les agences de cette entreprise et le retrait de toute plateforme de location de véhicules (rentalcars, ...). Je suis prêt à entamer une action en justice avec d'autres clients qui ont été lésés comme moi. Contactez moi : jttritri at gmail.com . This one is about WAW - Warsaw location!
I've done few (4-5) rentals within last months with this branch with ZERO issues.

Please keep in mind that the rental business is a bit different than the one u may know from the US where big players own the market.
Usually, agents working there don't care that much about all the minor scratches, etc.
Here in Poland and many holiday destinations around Europe rates are low due to high competition so be prepared!
Check your car VERY carefully - mark all the problems u see.
Be aware that in most cases car has to be returned clean (visit a car wash)! otherwise, u might be charged for cleaning.
Ask the agent to mark all the scratches in the report and insist on checking the car with you on the spot when u're returning it!
Don't wanna waste time for it? - buy insurance... or be prepared for possible extra costs...
That's how it works here with most cheap car rental companies.

ALWAYS DO THE CHECK OUT AND SIGN THE FORM BEFORE RETURNING THE KEY

On the 7th of January I returned the KIA (SG 5783W) to the parking lot at Warsaw Chopin airport (1st level). At 16:25 I tried to call the office and insisted to have somebody to come over and check the car's conditions. I was told instead to bring the key to the office because a later inspection would take place. At 19:49 I received the report saying that the car had two scratches of approx. 10 cm in front. I was charged 1617,14 PLN.
I have photos showing the car at delivering and demonstrating that the inspection was carried out 3 hours later. Additionally, I also have records of the call to the office and I did not sign any check out paper. All this documents did not help in clarifying the matter.
Until today I have been in contact first with the trader and then with autoeurope (through which I made the reservation) and ECC net (European Consumer Centres Network). The trader and autoeurope did not really look at my case. ECC net could not get in touch with the trader and decided to close the case.
