I always receive the best advice and support from the team at 5 Star Autocentre. Asif, Emma and Nikita make us feel valued and appreciated. Always receiving the best quality work in a timely manner. When, as I do, you rely on your car for your business, you need a garage that is responsive to your needs. For me, that’s 5 Star.

I arranged a service and MOT through Five Star's website and booked the car in at the end of February 2025. I also asked the garage to have a look at the boot, because it wasn't opening. They checked this before the MOT started and as part of that check they decided that it needed a new BCM. For a reason that I don’t understand the car that needed one of the door latches repaired as well the repairs were done and paid for and the car passed its MOT.
I then drove the car for a period of time (about 2-3 weeks), but almost immediately found issues with it. The lights in the boot kept flashing whilst I was driving and the bonnet latch kept reporting that it was open. I returned the cat to the garage, who then tried to charge me nearly £300 to fix the bonnet latch. After complaining, they did this repair free of charge.
At this 5 star reported that there was an issue with the BCM they had received from Ford and that my car would have to go to the Ford garage. I found this incredibly unusual. Five star offered to book this in for me, but I decided I would take the car and book it in.
I dropped the car off with Ford on the 11th of April and haven’t had use of it since (it is now November). Five stars have insisted that it is safe and drive-able throughout this time period, but I don’t understand how they can say that when they haven’t been aware of everything that the Ford garage has done with it. In August for example I tried to pick the car up from the Ford garage only to find out that the car didn’t lock and to have an update from Ford to say that they are ordering new locks for the car. I can’t drive a car that won’t lock!
Five Star suggested I contact RAC ADR, because they are an approved garage, This has been frustrating for two reasons; (1) my car is not fixed and (2) when I formally complained Five Star suggested in their response that I had agreed to a settlement already, which was not true.
Update - Five Star have given 3 different responses to this review, but I am responding to this text specifically: "Throughout, we have followed the correct manufacturer and warranty procedures and offered the option of RAC ADR for independent review, who confirmed that we acted appropriately and in the best interests of the customer." RAC ADR's last contact with me was to request a technical report and included the words "Once received, I can start ADR." This was September and because the issues with the car have not been resolved, no report can be produced. I am not sure how ADR can have confirmed that they "acted appropriately" when it hasn't started. RAC ADR have not confirmed this to me.
Update 20/11 - RAC ADR have confirmed "I can assure you I'm the only person at the RAC who reviews these types of disputes under our ADR service and I've not had any contact with this garage about your complaint. I can therefore confirm I've not informed the garage they've acted appropriately. "
This means that at best Emma's response in misleading.

Five star once again provided a great service last week. MOT and a repair all carried with the best of advice, great workmanship, I have taken my car here for a few years and have always received the best service a customer could require. Great communication throughout, the best workmanship. Why do I keep going back, because of all of all the above.

Emma is always very positive and remembers your name . Asif is brilliant so are the rest of the mechanics/valeted. I would not go anywhere else. Been going to five star for 6 years now.
First time I have used five star auto centre, I have to say the whole experience was very professional, competitive price, great customer service, my electric car had full service they even washed and vacuumed the car. Will definitely be using this garage next year.

Unfortunately, I found the service patronizing, with a staff member addressing me in a condescending tone rather than offering clear explanations. I was quoted nearly three times the cost of a repair, which, after getting a second opinion, turned out to be significantly less. I won’t be returning.

I have used the Five Star Autocentre for many years and have always found them professional and friendly. As a woman taking a car in they have never spoken down to me and always take time to talk through what the problems and solutions are. My car was a mess last week, I don’t deny it but it came back looking fabulous inside and out. Service completed but it had also been washed and valeted. Super service from front of house reception to mechanics and valet team. Thankyou.

From the first phone call with Nicola to Emma at their Paddock branch looking after me it was flawless. I was so well looked after and did not feel one bit rushed or fobbed off. Emma went through everything with me when i dropped my car off. I ordered the gold service and MOT. I was able to have a courtesy car which was immaculate and beautiful. When my car failed its MOT Emma rang me and explained what needed to be done. She went through every cost and I did not feel pushed or obliged. With help from Emma I got what was needed to get my car though its MOT and also decided to have new front breaks and other bits done.Again this was explained to me in detail of costs and labour. The gold service that I picked was everything and more and Emma explained that when i bring my care back next year for its annual service and MOT I would only need the silver service because of the amount of work you get with a gold service. So every year I can choose either a silver service one year and the year after that a gold service. Going forward I will now be using Five star to look after me and my car. As an added bonus I was able to get a 10% discounted with my blue light card. That took the cost down. I would have paid full as i cant fault anything they did for me or my car. Before i left they explained i would need 4 tyres as I have some other cracks on all my tyres. They gave me a website to order my tyres from and I can have then delivered to their branch and they will fit them for me. All i have to pay for is to have my tyres relined ( i think thats the name for it for a small cost). Also when I got my car is was sparkling and immaculate. And it was pretty messy and dirty when i dropped it off. Again thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such great care of me and my car. My car has never looked so good.

Very friendly staff, and expert mechanics that know what they’re doing. 100% recommend to anyone looking for car repairs.
What an absolute waste of time. Had my vehicle booked in after waiting for a week with an appointment, then on arrival the receptionist said “ sorry we can’t fit you in because there’s no space “.
All they had to do was to call me before I came down. They haven’t Evan called to rebook or apologise for my inconvenience: A total incompetent staff member, will never use or go back .
Five star have been looking after my C1 for the past 4 years and absolutely would not trust anyone else to do that. They are always transparent in their practice and tell you up front the costs before doing anything. Friendly and reliable garage - highly recommended.

Excellent service. Dpf regen done. Rang back in a few weeks to ensure that the job was done correctly and that there weren't any issues so I've booked them again for a service which saved me a job phoning back!
Booked my car in for a mot the staff are very friendly polite and very helpful i would recommend them to my friends and family. I will definitely be using them in the future
This is a rip off garage. Booked the car for service and Mot. Got a call back that my brake pads were at metal to metal and discs also need changing. Plus needs new front tyres. They quoted me nearly £1700. No thanks. I took the car to another garage who said everything was fine on the car. Took it to the dealers who checked and said brake pads still have good life left and disc are in excellent condition.
I won't be using this rip off garage again.

Had some work done by Five Star instead of my usual garage as they were shut and can say Five Star are technically knowledgeable but also a pleasure to deal with.
Will be coming back for my next service.
