My father Ordered a hedge trimmer, Eckman sent the wrong item and agreed to issue a replacement while collecting the original , fair enough I thought, mistakes happen. Eckman then decided to collect original without sending the new item. I refused to release the item as the agreement was to swap with a replacement. So, I called and had a lengthy conversation with two sales reps who both refused to give their surname ? I requested a refund, advised that a refund would be issued once item received . Eckman received the item on 02.08.19, no refund as of 09.08.19. I called customer services to politely request an update, apparently the sales rep didn’t issue refunds, I asked to be transferred to someone who did. The couldn’t as they did not have the “technology “ it was like talking to a 3 year old so I asked to speak to the manger . Chris came on, simply said “hello” refused point blank to give his surname but explained it would take another week. No confidence that we will get the refund, please avoid this outfit, absolute disgrace and fundamentally a bunch of liars , DO NOT USE THEM.

Ordered a lightweight hedge trimmer, which turned out to be heavier than my neighbours heavy hedge trimmer. Tried to return on same day as delivery. I had to pay £10 for a courier to pick up, 7 working days later. After the pickup telephoned to ask about a refund. It takes another 7 working days to get returned to Eckman. 4 hours away. Again telephoned and asked when I would get a refund, I was told another 7-14 days after they receive the item.
So far no refund.
The Eckman site says "be the first to post a review". Three times I tried to post an honest review. None of them have been posted to site.
E-mailed the CEO of the company, no response.
I have not been contacted by the company at all.
DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.
It should be minus stars.

Bought the three fruit trees from this mob arrived with bare roots covered in sawdust which was like concrete. Took 24 hours to soften, I then soaked the roots for a further 12 hours then potted them up. That was a month ago and as I suspected they are dead. Have emailed different departments 3 times now....no reply!
So do yourself a favour and avoid this mob like the plague, everyone else seems to be having similar experiences.

I responded to a supplement in the Saturday newspaper for 3 fruit trees. Thought it was strange I couldn’t see the item on their website to order, so rang and placed order over the phone. Thankfully my bank was smart and recognised the transaction as dodgy it shows as Personal choice on bank transactions. My card has been cancelled and a new one being sent. So I’ve been one of the lucky ones. Will be getting my fruit trees from my local garden centre in the future!

Dreadful, dreadful company. Bought a hedge trimmer only to be told,after I chased up my order,that it was not in stock. Asked for refund which after approx 2 months and several phone calls I had to make , eventually arrived. Not once did a member of their 'customer service' apologise. I will never use them again. Avoid at all costs. Bought from them in the past and products is now faulty. Should have learned my lesson first time around

Worst company I've ever dealt with.
Bought a branch lopper from them. It was faulty, intermittently starting. I asked for a replacement ans they said yes. Due to collect it on a set date, collected it a different date. 6 weeks passed and no news so I called them, they told me they were awaiting a new shipment. A few weeks later I called again, told not sure when I will receive the product. I asked for a call back from the manager but she chose not to do this, despite being told she would. I did receive another. This did not switch on. I've asked for my money back and they refuse. They have their wrong number for customer services on their receipts. When you call you wait in hold, you're next in line and they pick the phone up then put it down again so you're back to more than 5 waiting. I'm due another replacement. Who knows if that will work. I'm due a call back from the manager who we will see if she bothers. Wasted a lot of time with a lopper that does not work. Won't ever touch this company again.

Bought a vac / blower nearly a year ago. Then the switch became faulty. Phoned them and they gave me a date when it was to be collected. This date passed, then another, then another. Left it outside to be collected. Eventually it went - presumably via Eckman's courier. No acknowledgement that it had been received for repair.
Over 2 weeks later I phoned again. Has it been repaired? No. They would chase it up and let me know. Did they? No!
Nearly a month later, still not returned.
DO NOT BUY FROM ECKMAN. POOR PRODUCT QUALITY AND EVEN WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE - THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED FROM ANY COMPANY!

I ordered a ladder brace online on the 6th July with a delivery time of 7-14 days. I have contacted this company three times to establish when I was going to receive the item and on each occasion was given a revised expected delivery date. I phoned again today to be given yet another future date, so cancelled the order. The worst online service I have come across, there is zero Customer Service provided, no contact made to advise me of the continued delays and no apologies for the shocking service. Never again.

I made two purchases from the eckman.ie site and waited for it to arrive. After the expected delivery date had passed I had not heard from them at all so I contacted customer service. It turns out one of the items was discontinued (but you can still order and pay for it on the site...). They made no attempt to contact me to let me know this, and having read the reviews elsewhere I'm not optimistic about a refund.

A terrible company. Wheeled brush cutter broke after an hour of use. Took 3 weeks for them to take it back. Now 3 weeks on they say they haven't got it there ! Awaiting refund but this may be on ongoing battle I think...avold

I bought the ECKMAN Li Ion Hedge Trimmer + 6" Chainsaw + Grass Trimmer through Amazon and a company called MYSMARTBUY. The equipment worked OK for a while but then the Li Ion battery failed (well within guarantee period) which rendered all the equipment useless. Amazon disclaimed responsibility and referred me to Mysmartbuy who, when I requested a new battery, emailed me to say they were going into liquidation and suggested I contacted Eckman. I tried and tried with Eckman and gave up believing eventually they were the same outfit. Once bitten, as they say.

In the process of ordering garden equipment from this god awful company(I wish that I had seen this site before ordering), sadly as the equipment was not in stock I paid up front for it, something I do not usually do I placed the order early September, it is now the end of October and despite many emails, telephone calls telling me the order has been despatched, to date I have received only two small parts of the order, which of course are useless without the main attachments. Last telephone call was, I believe on Friday last week, again I was informed the order had been despatched and to expect delivery in the next 3-5 working days? So by Friday 4th October I should have received said goods? I am not hopeful! But I will post the outcome, next step is the small claims court.
To anyone thinking of using this company....THINK HARD!

Bought a hedge trimmer a year ago, eventually arrived minus a part. It took another few months to get the part. Now, after only using it a few times it has stopped working. Tried to get it repaired within guarantee only to be told it was out of guarantee not taking into account the six months we waited for the part. Their customer service is atrocious and their goods are shoddy

Bought a pair of Eckman bypass loppers and when I opened the box to use them I found the blades did not come together so absolutely useless+++++
Wrote to Eckman and they would not honour the 'limited lifetime guarantee' which is clearly stated on the equipment.
Would never purchase Eckman equipment.

Purchased Eckman 36V Lithium-ion battery Hedge cutter it lasted just over 10 months returned it hoping for a replacement after lots of polite E mails and phone calls to and from their service department nothing.
Looking back they where probably stalling until the item was well out of the guarantee period.
They have lost a customer now I certainly would never buy from Eckman again.

No response to emails, even though they promise to respond to emails within 24 hours
Their "express delivery" states next day on their website but in fact it takes 3-5 days to deliver.
Waited in for delivery which never turned up, emailed them to ask about it and still no response

Avoid this company at all costs

Eckman' s customer service is disgusting. Products are also of poor quality. When items are returned they take no action to replace or refund .I had to phone 9 times and still did not receive a refund. They are an absolute disgrace! They should not be allowed to trade. I have dealt with about 6 different employees and they always promise a resolution but do not process one. I can only assume they have all been instructed to never give one.

Delivery was good but the product is made from sub-standard parts.
The wheels would not bolt to the frame due to threads stripped.I needed to cover a job so welded nuts to frame which do work. Protective cover of wiring loom came off due to stripped bolt.Strimmer head fell apart with the internal spring being as rusty as an anchor. Had puncture within minutes due to a tiny thorn, this shows the cheapness of the product. The motor must not be run at full power until after TEN hours of use. Please save yourselves some money and steer clear of this cutter.

Ordered a 3 in 1 mower that was in stock on the 15th March 2016 cost over £100.
It has only just arrived on the 29th April 2016.
I have spent 5 hrs trying to put it together.
No instructions how to fit the cutting blade.
Broken screws.
Wheels missing on roller.
No clear assembly instructions.
And the only help from Erkman is to collect it.
I have waited ages to do the lawn so I can over seed it. Now in May and still unable to attend my lawn.
Total waste of my time energy and money.
Will not recommend this product or company
