Unfortunately, the coffee’s not to my taste but I’m glad I tried it anyway. I was met with understanding when I called in to cancel and managed to do it quickly.

Be Careful.

I signed up for an offer and fell into a subscription trap.

This company doesn't want to sell you great coffee. They want to sell you very expensive coffee (which is pretty basic to be honest) on a subscription basis which is deliberately difficult to cancel.

Not worth it.

I took advantage of an introductory offer just paying postage.
I started with ground.
It’s really great tasting coffee, no dust so you don’t get that gritty mess in the bottom of your cup.
I’ve since changed to whole bean and grind myself. I don’t know if it’s the extra time you take but it does taste better.
I paid full price for a couple of months then decided I couldn’t warrant 16 quid a month on coffee.
Phoned to cancel and was offered the next two months half price.
Great customer service although you should have the option to cancel without having to speak to somebody.

First of all, the Brazil yellow bourbon they sent out in my first parcel was absolutely delicious. That's the positive. The second bag in the parcel was an ascarive, which I couldn't fault the quality of, but was not really to my taste. A personal preference but the coffee was still good coffee. On the basis of those two bags I increased my order to four bags a month, the intention being to cancel my Exhale subscription and try a bit of variety. I am glad I did not cancel my Exhale subscription because I have not received my next order. Evidently they now have a problem finding my address, today was the third day I have sat in waiting with nothing to show for it.
The reason they only get three stars was after the second ghosted delivery I phoned up to cancel and they basically tried to use it as an opportunity to upsell and introduce me to the other arm of their company beer52. Don't misunderstand me what they offered in my opinion was a very generous offer, but absolutely useless if you dont receive it. They also made me some fantastic offers on coffee to remain a subscriber. Same problem, if you are not going to receive the product anyway they might as well offer you the moon.
I wish I could be more positive in this review as the customer service agent in spoke to was lovely and after getting through the up selling part of their script I had no problem cancelling. I am a bit annoyed by this whole experience but I realise coffee52 are essentially blameless, the delivery is out of their hands once they pass the package to the courier.
The way I see it if you want to try a variety of different coffees and receive a decent education on what you are brewing (the literature that came with the first parcel was excellent and very informative) then coffee52 may be a good choice for you as long as you actually receive your order.
If you just want a decent coffee I would take my custom to Exhale or really any actual roaster with a subscription service. That way you will save money (coffee52's prices are a little over the top for bags of supposed specialty coffee that do not carry a roast date) and also the coffee will be MUCH fresher. I feel let down by coffee52 as the concept of receiving a supposedly expertly selected different coffee every month is great. The reality is i feel badly let down by this company. I would now not touch them with a barge pole, which is a little bit sad. The coffee that i did recieve was 50% fantastic and the other 50% was very good. The company representative i spoke to was lovely. Really it was external contractors that let them down, that is their problem. To me this subscription came with enough nonsense that I was left with no option but to cancel.

Shaun was really helpful answering all my questions and giving great advice. I called to cancel, Shaun made sure I stayed and got me a great deal without feeling pushed into it. I wish everyone did customer service like these guys.

Coffee was good, but I didn't know before the free trial how difficult it would be to cancel. £17 for 2 small bags of coffee isn't cheap, so i decided to cancel, but you can't do this online, only via a phone call during office hours, which is smart of them to cause delays in cancelling and therefore extra revenue which wasn't good for me.. Very long queue times on the call, and I'm very busy during office hours. Bear this in mind before signing up for the free trial.

Inability to cancel subscription from online account. Had to phone during my tea break. Was on hold for far too long and then the friendly bloke i spoke to was really glacial slow at talking and letting me cancel. Far too interested in being chummy and giving me the spiel.

Deliveries are not made in time and the prices are very high!

The agent who spoke me, Simeon Brown, was very professional and make happen my request smoothly, now I am enjoying my cup of delicious coffee. Thanks to him only. The company is on top on prices too and they send the coffee in a eco-friendly package and very fast. Keep it up Coffe52 team. Pablo

Shaun was very helpful and informative . He offered alternative options and further discount on next box of coffee . However I’m no longer able to afford the subscription and will purchase coffee as and when required. Coffee 52 provides excellent variety of beans and distinctive flavour from across the globe. Highly recommend for coffee lovers .

It has an excellent customer service , very good deals and sells excellent quality coffee , the team is always there to help , it’s web page is very easy to navigate , and offer many products tailored to your individual needs , the coffee and everything that goes into it can be traced right back to the farms , smallholder coffee families in the area, this is a great company I recommend
