Champagne
I bought 24 bottles of champagne with chateau. The shipping went well.
Previous to the order I had contact with the customer service which was nice. I asked if they could ship the champagnes in their unbroken OC's (own cases). That could not be done as it would not be a safe way to transport the champagne when I did not buy more bottles. When you buy champagne (and all other wine) at chateau you see a picture of the product you will recieve. On multiple of the pictures there were giftboxes included. Normally, the giftboxes are just folded and put into the shipment together with the champagnes.
I did not recieve any of the giftboxes all though they were on the pictures of the product I would recieve. As many of you know giftboxes are not entirely worthless.
I asked them why they did not ship the giftboxes and they replied that they had told me they could not ship entire boxes.
A giftbox is not an entire box.
Now they have stopped replying me and that is why I write this rather "Poor" review. That is not a way to handle your business if you want return-customers. I find it strange as I can see that Chateau have many satisfied customeres. Maybe they receive the entire product they have bought? ;-)

I wld hv given a 5 star but for UPS…
I wld hv given a 5 star but for UPS shipping. w DHL they take care of EVERYTHING! They only email me & call or txt to confirm the amount of duties I have to pay. After that I just make sure my check is there upon delivery.
With UPS they sent me a vague email asking me to print fillup a form for customs, email it back to them and then they email you the bill which I have to go to the bank to pay and then email them copy of deposit slip, after confirming my payment thats when they will dlvr. There emails and messages arnt also clear on what am suppose to do. All this gave me some anxiety and stress. But over all I got my box in good order.

Slight delay with latest order due to supplier constraints caused by hot weather, but feedback within minutes online and kept informed.

I purchased a case of 6 bottles of wine, made the payment, my money was taken from my bank account, and days later I receive an email from someone at Chateau.com, saying that the wines were wrongfully priced, and that they would cancel my order due to this fact. I was not asked or consulted, just offered other “discounted” wines which were overpriced when compared to other vendors. I still haven’t received my money back.

You place your order on the 4th of July at 19/28 and we contact you concerning an error from one of our partner concerning the name of wine and price associated, on 5th of July at 11:07, so not days after, but less than 18h after your oder, in contrary of what you wrote.
In the present case, the price announced let clearly think about an error in the Chateau offered since there was a blatant and obvious error on the price announced the 4th of July.
As explain in our exchange we suggest some other wines or the full refund as indicated in our Terms of sales, so we do offer immediatly the refund, which is totally normal, but you had the choice, propose at the very start, in contrary of what you wrote;
Since you weren’t interested we immediately arrange your refund the 8Th of July (today) and sent you the proove at 15:35, in contrary of what you wrote.
We perfectly understand that you are unhappy, but it is dishonest to say that we are not trustable and a dishonest business, this is untrue.
