Currently refusing to payout after an accident, when I took out policy informed the call handler I ride a motorcycle and that was reason for policy now I need it been told it’s excluded. Not happy but will take it as far as needed to get what I’m entitled too.

This is the worst experience ever!!! These people don't bother about your problems. Never keep their promises. I had a deferred period of 4 weeks so they start paying me, we're into the fifth week withoutany progress. I regret ever taking out a policy with them. Poor customer service.

Very disappointing experience with British Friendly. I made a claim back in March and we're in June now, they have still not paid out. There always seems to be one excuse after the other why the claim gets prolonged. It's reached the point where I have requested to cancel the membership. I'm paying monthly subscriptions for nothing. Miss a payment and British Friendly are quick to contact you regarding missed payment but they will ignore or take their time getting back to you regarding a claim. I'm convinced it's a scam. If you take a policy with them do so at your own risk.

I have been with this company for a number of years now and had to use the payment protection plan a couple of times due to illness. Every time I make contact with them either by email or phone they are able to assist me quickly and easily. This company is a credit to those who work within it well done to all.

When I needed financial support as a self employed tree surgeon, I cannot fault the help given by British Friendly. I could not work for months due to a torn medial meniscus in my knee, and if it hadn't have been for my cover, I quite simply could not have earned a living.

Terrible company to deal with. Paying premiums for years but when you try and make a,claim they put every obstacle in the way. Cancelled my policy as it does not cover my needs

Great Customer Service
Spoke to Lesley today from the claims department. I did not have to make a claim but instead was seeking advise due to a change in circumstances.
The original customer service rep I spoke to felt I probably wouldn’t be covered under the policy I held with them, but offered to put me in touch with the claim department to discuss further.
Lesley called today and after discussing my situation it was explained I would still be covered & went over how the cover worked with me (it has been a number of years since I took out the policy). She also answered a few extra questions I have.
I have yet to require to claim under this insurance, and hope I never have to, but was very impressed by the help I have received.

Had a policy with British Friendly since 2019. On the occasions where I have needed to call them their phone number is easily accessible and there are no long waits to speak to an advisor. My query is always solved within a short time. Also very friendly and helpful staff too they always go above and beyond to help. Great company highly recommend!

I have only had to make a claim due to an injury early on in my membership. Decades later I have no complaints. Now I am 60 I am choosing to close the account and I have over £5000 to replace old windows to keep me warm in my old age ha ha!
When I did have to phone, very professional and friendly.

They will let you over insure and happily take the payments but when you make a claim they only pay 70% max

Be careful, very very careful. Need a claim? Unless you’ve documented EVERYTHING, your well out of luck. Been with them for 10yrs plus, waste of time when I needed them. Funny how they can pull up an email I sent in December asking to cancel my policy but can’t find any correspondence from a hospital bed a few months prior. Nice as well of them to tell me that before they can look into it that I’d need to pay the outstanding balance before they’d proceed even though I’d sent the email explaining why. Again, proceed with caution!!
