8 of us spent a week here-two families of 4 with teenage children. All of us loved the facilities-the gym, yoga room, sauna and hot tub all got used every day - it was fabulous to come home after a day at the beach or walking the coast path and relax in the sauna and hot tub before dinner. There was something for everyone, including the two dogs who loved heading to the beach every morning before breakfast. The property itself was beautifully presented and there was always somewhere to have your own space if you needed. The location was spot on-we already loved Mawgan Porth and had been before-big sandy beach with life guard cover and a surf school, as well as plenty of options for takeaways or eating in. Would highly recommend!

The view when we wake up, the walks on the beach, through the dunes and along the cliffs, followed by a drink at the Watering Hole are the perfect start to every day."

We stayed at Sea Wall cottage in Porth. It is a great location, superb beach view sun room and a cosy place. We get a welcome pack with dishwasher tabs and tea towels- this makes such a difference. And Beach Retreats are easy to contact if you need them

From looking, to booking and whilst at the property so easy to deal with. What I found really useful was the on line guide that they provide for each house once you arrive. It has everything from how to use the various appliances, rubbish collection and local places to eat, drink and visit. The house was beautiful, it had everything we needed and felt so homely with the lovely decor and furnishings.

Absolutely fabulous company to deal with.
Helpful and friendly staff who are very knowledgeable in all aspects.
The property was exactly as advertised and all dealings with Beach Retreats was 1st class.

We've stayed with Beach Retreats five times now and have always been very happy indeed. Amazing locations right on the beach, very high standard of accommodation and 5* customer service. I suffered a significant injury a couple of years ago and was unable to go on holiday when we were booked with them. They could not have been more helpful. Can't recommend them highly enough

nice cottage, really beautiful restorated in small fisherman village, more personal service compared to booking.com. I could feel much more responsibility compared to recent experience with booking.com.

Excellent pre arrival communication and tips on where to go and what to do. The quality of our apartment was exceptional. The welcome goodies of milk, apple juice, tea, coffee, biscuits etc was lovely - this might vary by property.

Communication was super clear and I could find everything in one place easily.

I would definitely book with Beach Retreats again!

Barwick in Mawgan Porth is a lovely property complete with outdoor entertaining area with a Bar, Pool and Hot Tub.
It also has a Ring DoorBell which the owners use to watch what you get upto during your stay - its on the front door which you use to access the Pool etc so be aware!
Beach Retreats have a default approach to mistrust the renting family in favour of the Owners so do not expect any customer concern or support from them.

Flat 12, The Pearl, Newquay. We had a disappointing start to our 3rd stay (in as many years) on the first stay due to an unruly dog sheepdog in the flat below. Whilst unpacking the car, the dog was repeatedly allowed to charge up to the flat's balcony railing, barking and growling. Unfortunately, this continues throughout the rest of the day every time someone else entered the car park, passing the flat to enter the building. In the evening, guests arrived to said flat and the dog continued with intermittent barking until past 2200 hrs. Following our feedback to Beach Retreats the following day, the issue with the dog was resolved very quickly. We were made aware that the flat is occupied pretty much all year around by its owner. To our surprise, two days before our departure day, we overheard a conversation between the flat/dog owner and a visiting engineer, referring to us as 'ackward' people. Needless to say that we can not recommend flat 12 in The Pearl.

Used Beach Retreats for nearly 10 years. Would not use anyone else and risk not being as happy with the service.

We have been coming to Porth for several years now and have yet to find any problems with the apartments offered by Beach Retreats. The apartments are beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you need for a great holiday. They provide comprehensive instructions to ensure there are no issues with getting to, and accessing the properties. We always enjoy our stays, the views are spectacular, we never want to leave!

We booked our week on line but because we wanted additional information we also rang Beach Retreats. The apartment we had chosen was Port, The Liner in Falmouth. Beach Retreats were really helpful, friendly and informative. Not only was the apartment a great place in which to stay with safe parking, a comfortable bed, and good quality furniture and fittings but it also had a wonderful view out over Gyllyingvase Beach from the balcony with its table and chairs, which was a lovely place to sit and eat and drink.

Beach Retreats excelled themselves with the amount of information they provided and had there been any problems we would not have hesitated to ask for their help in resolving them. We both felt that this was the best holiday Company we had ever booked through. Their level of service is exceptional. We would not hesitate to book through this Comany again.

This is not a complaint about the accommodation as, due to a change in personal circumstances, we have had to cancel our booking.
This is more a warning for people to CHECK the company DEPOSIT REFUND POLICY. We paid a 33% deposit (over £1500) 2 months ago which is non-refundable even though we have given 7 months notice of cancellation. There are no exceptions it would seem.
Our fault for misreading/misunderstanding the terms. They haven’t done anything that they don’t warn you they’ll do but it does leave a very bad taste in your mouth.
We expect to be liable for some cancellation fee but that’s a lot of money/very high percentage of total holiday cost for them to keep especially when being given so much notice of cancellation.
The person dealing with my emails was very polite but just reiterated their policy. We have learned a big lesson from it. Check the terms carefully.
Addendum: I received a very nice email from the Managing Director of Beach Retreats. The terms haven’t changed and we have still lost our deposit (our fault as explained above) but we acknowledge and appreciate him reaching out.
