They Sent faulty goods ,I asked for a replacement but non in stock was asked to send item back then they charged me £15 return and said it wasn’t faulty
Why would I want to send it back if it worked ?
Use Amazon instead - free returns if you receive a faulty item you live and learn

Bought a B Stock Marshall DSL5 from them. The original fault reoccurred after a couple of days use. Andertons arranged collection and refunded my money with no quibbles. Even though I had to buy elsewhere, Andertons showed how customer service should be done. Would definitely buy from them again.

UNBELIEVABLE
I bought a £1000 guitar from them a while ago, they lost it in carriage, got it eventually but maybe I should have listened to myself. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt and used them again.

I bought a guitar from another company but when it arrived it was clearly a return or B stock or an ex display so returned it, bit of a nightmare took 3 weeks to get a refund.

So contacted Andertons as they had the same guitar and I explained in great detail what had happened
and how I did not wish to go thro that experience again.

No problem Josh sais and assured me of the following ;

This guitar is definitely Not ex display
This guitar is in our stockroom boxed
This guitar is brand new
It has all the tools, manual, schaller locks etc

So I ordered it and paid almost £1000.

Day of arrival came and went, no contact regarding this. Was contacted by possibly the manager the next day to inform me that :

There has been a mistake, this guitar is an ex display!!!!!

How could it be a mistake? The person I spoke to had physically checked the whole store and checked it in the back store room, remember?

Mistake!! He clearly dident go and check, it's called lying.

Maybe it's true what many have said in reviews that Andertons are a little to PRE occupied with their YouTube channel to be bothered about good old fashioned customer service. It's what makes customers come back.

Very, very disappointed Andertons and another future customer you have lost for good.

All the time I need something, they are there for me and next day delivery is the best thing that could happen to a musician!

I recently got 2 Scarletts 18i20 and a patch bay P16
I needed it by the next day. Boom, they always deliver on time.

I recently bought a rather expensive guitar from Andertons which I had been saving up for for quite some time. I am a huge fan of the online YouTube channel and was really excited to drive down to the store as I knew I wanted to buy the guitar from them. I saw that they had stock online of the exact one I wanted in store so I drove down only to be told that they couldn’t find that guitar (which was a bit worrying) - however they stated they had another one of a different colour available. I had driven all the way down for 1.5 hours to get there so I thought I’d give it a go. It was a fantastic guitar and I decided, given that I had taken the time to get there and I didn’t want to leave empty handed I’d buy it. When buying the guitar, I noticed a slight indent/scratch underneath near the input jack. I thought nothing of it, as although noticeable, I presumed if the manufacturer’s QC hadn't noted it nor the store it's nothing to worry about. It was playing on my mind a lot after my purchase, so I asked the question on a popular forum recently and the majority stated that it's definitely a dent and not a manufacturer QC issue and I should raise this with the dealer. I did this and was told that if not reported in 48 hours they can’t take any liability. Just a bit frustrating when paying full price for a £2000+ guitar not to feel full satisfaction for what should have essentially been a guitar sold as a b-stock guitar (i.e sold with a slight discount factoring the dent in). In addition my loyalty points were only allocated after I followed up twice. I really don’t want to be that nitpicking customer but I just can’t help but feel a bit disappointed in my first and overall experience at Andertons.

Ordered this item specifically to have £600 item arrive by a certain date. Item did not arrive on that date. Not happy with delivery service. Very inconvenient and if known could have pick up in store from a different company. If nothing on next day. I will ask for full refund.

Bought a Roland RP102 bundle. Customer service was good, called me the following day to confirm my orders and inform me regarding deliveries. Majority of the items arrived as promised apart from one which was the couriers fault. I was hesitant at first to buy from them because of the reviews on here but they proved me wrong. Their price was cheaper too. I am very much happy with my purchase!

The mixer I wanted was shown as in stock and arrived very well packaged the next day. Very good communication and overall service. Happy with the price too!

I have spent thousands with Andertons, never let me down, usually next day delivery, even small items. Use them.

Fast delivery, always a great product and their online presence is fantastic. Just a great guitar shop all round.

Fast delivery, and very well packaged items, they may be a little more expensive than other places but they are worth it and reliable.

Here is the reason why I regularly buy my gear from Andertons. I bought a Boss Katana Artist during the first lockdown from them. I gig in a covers band - patently not many of them in the last eighteen months!! The Katana has an intermittent fault - probably the Power Switch. The warranty sits with Boss. Andertons do not have a hire service but fortunately one of their customer service guys, Ben Hartley, knew of a B stock amp and has kindly lent it to me for the next gig which is in a weeks time - that's what differentiates the great companies from the rest of the herd - customer service. And of course the knock on effect is that I will buy all my future gear from Andertons and tell my musician mates why they should too!

Phoned with a query about a keyboard bundle. Reaching a real person didn't take long (a rarity) and I was quickly transferred to someone helpful, professional and informative. I made the purhase. Everythig was as should be including speedy delivery.

I submitted a previous post regarding the purchase of a guitar. Thankfully it did arrive and on time. It seems the problem was to do with the tracking. I also received a substantive e-mail promising to chase up the delivery. My faith is restored in Andertons service although they could do with finding out what happened with DHL. I apologise to Andertons for my impatience but having ordered little online I was concerned especially because of the lack of communication. It's no excuse and I will have more faith in them in future. Good store, good service highly recommended.

I am a relatively new customer, but I have made a number of successive orders.

Over this short period I have had to get in touch with customer services. I found them to be no less than excellent. Not only were they courteous and quick to respond to any contact I made, but went out of their way to ensure all my needs were met.

I am now looking for my next purchase, and will continue to do my business with Anderton's.

I have recommended these guys to family and friends who have also started buying here.

Most reviews seem based on a single purchase, this is on several over 13 years.

Like many I found them through google searches and their decent prices online. But after calling them I drove 3 hours to Guildford to try out all their keyboards and this is where they stand out. It is an Aladdin's cave of instruments, banks and banks of keys, drums, guitars, mics etc.

The amount of stock they carry and expertise they employ is exceptional - bigger than any London store, and expensive to run no doubt. I have spent literally hours playing different instruments without any hassle from them; hence have bought 3 keyboards and 2 amps through them and lots of sundries.

At different times they have given me a couple of hours in a room trying bass amps and effects boxes. This sort of service you cannot buy or replace with youtube videos.

I see several people have had stock issues this year. Might be due to COVID and the Suez canal blockage? Cut them some slack. I was disappointed they did not open up in June like other shops and maybe they lost some custom as a result. Hopefully they'll be back and then so will I.

I've had stuff mailed and like others I have had prompt delivery most times but had to wait a couple of weeks once or twice. This seems normal to me for super expensive gear that probably won't be held in great numbers - I waited 6 months for a car in 2020.

Basically this is my go to shop for buying gear, and more importantly for trying gear and getting advice. Their open, friendly attitude (eg giving free advice over the phone) reminds me of the good old days when more shops were like that; it is very rare and precious now in our lowest common denominator, Amazon-led economy. Pay them a visit, you won't be disappointed and also it should avoid any delivery issues.

I am writing this review because i am extremely unhappy with the customer service at Andertons. My experience started when i booked an appointment online and drove 1.5hrs to find out that i hadn't actually got an appointment and had to wait.
I purchased a package that included a keyboard, stand, amp etc and i understand that covid has had an impact on the availability of products but at present 11 months later i have not yet received the keyboard stand. I informed them of my change of address and it was sent to my previous address. Not at all happy.

I ordered a M Audio Hammer 88 and paid in full March 29, 2021. They said not in stock until May. I said that’s ok these things happen. May came and I rang them and they said not in stock till June 11. That date came and I rang them again and they said not in stock till end of June. I said no after some discussion and asked for a refund. I contacted them throughout they never rang me. I feel the customer service was very poor. #disappointed.
